      Beyond finance is a debt payment company. When they sell their program, they state clearly that you will pay fees of approximately 6% of your debt each year, which seems fairly reasonable. It isnt the cheapest company, but theyre providing a needed service. However, hidden in their 34 page disclosure booklet is a statement that they charge 25% of the enrolled debt when they make the first payment on a negotiated settlement. If you pay on your plan the entire time, it averages out to about 6% each year, however, thats a big difference, a 25% lump sum vs 6%. Because of the 25% fee, they were unable to reach a settlement with 3 of my creditors, as it would have been cheaper for me to pay the creditors outright. Because I wasnt aware of this, and no settlement was reached, those 3 creditors sued me and I had to refinance my house in order to avoid having my paycheck garnished. Because I was operating under the 6% fee I was told about, I allowed Beyond Finance to continue making negotiations on my behalf and transferred large sums of money into my account from my **********************. There should have been money to pay off all my debts, instead I need another $3,500 because of this 25% fee. This is beyond ridiculous. And dont tell me it was in my enrollment booklet. I trusted the words that were said to me, and you are rushed through signing each pay of the enrollment agreement without being given a second to read it. I want my fees adjusted down to the 6% I was told on each of the accounts I made lump sum payments to: ****** ****** & Maxlend.

      We confirmed your enrollment into the program on March 21, 2023.  Review of this enrollment interaction confirmed that you were informed of the 25% fee and the possibility of litigation both verbally and in writing at this time. The figure of 5.45% is provided as an estimated annual fee based on your program length.  This is not indicative that Beyond Finance will only earn 6% of the related fee per year. The program is designed to care for all enrolled debt and the related fee throughout the lifetime of the enrollment.  


      Beyond Finance is committed to transparency throughout all stages of the program.  Rest assured that the amount of fee earned does not differ when using either the 25% of enrolled debt or the annualized 5.45% calculation.

      This makes no mention of the fact that 3 of my creditors filed legal charges because beyond finance would not come to a resolution with them, Im sure partially due to the 25% fee issue.  Discover indicated they were willing to settle for 80%, but with the 25% fee, it would have cost me more to use beyond finance than to pay myself. So rather than give me the good financial advice that I was counting on (and paying for), they allowed Discover and 2 others to initiate court proceedings against me. That cost me even more money. Beyond Finance does not do the job they state they will, and certainly did not put my interests as the client as their top priority.

      I am absolutely worse off. I had to pay court fees on top of the full balance. Whereas if I would have used a different company that doesnt charge a 25% fee, or attempted to make contact myself, Discover would have settled for 80%. And the other 2 would have most likely settled for something in the same range.

      I used Beyond Finance to help with 4 credit card debts. I was paying on 3 but 1 of them was just taking interest. I was told on phone they don't charge until debts paid which is a lie. They also charged me for a settlement I already had in place. I just paid them to continue payments. They took nearly half the money towards my debt in fees. I had them removed other debts I was paying. I was told on the phone just $60 fee left and done but they still pull money and we're gonna continue pulling.

      Our records confirm that you elected to remove accounts from your program and accelerate your graduation.  Your graduation was completed on September 15, 2024 and a refund of your remaining balance in your dedicated account of $99.80 was issued on September 16, 2024.

      I was drowning in debt due to paying for expensive divorce and being unemployed for 4 months. I thought I was doing the smart thing and consolidate my total credit *********** debt with Beyond Finance. I had 6 different credit cards that I could barely keep up with just the minimum payments. At first, they tell you on the phone when trying to get you to sign up that you will pay a bi-weekly set amount which was fine. The app is so clever by posting your total debt and next to it what they "expect" your new resolved debt could or should be. What they don't tell you is that more than likely all of your credit cards will most likely be charged off and your starting debt is no where compared to where it will be if you enroll with Beyond Finance. They will settle with the lowest of the 2 creditors quickly and your automatic payments will go towards their settlement fees first, then the actual debt. They then proceed to tell you that you must have funds accumulated in your account before they can negotiate with the next pending resolutions, so while your money is going into their pockets for their fees, all of your other pending creditors keep adding and adding to your initial debt. If you are really trying to help people out of debt which you claim, why have 100% of customers payments go to pay off your fees first then the debt and not have their balance build up to settle with the other "pending creditors?" One of my $10,000 credit card balances when i started accumulated to a whopping $17,650 in just 6 months. Then after a credit card is charged off, you then take that as the balance for your 25% fee settlement? That is just morally wrong in my opinion if you are truly trying to help people get out of debt. I contacted Beyond stating that my bankruptcy lawyer told me to terminate contract with Beyond Finance immediately. I spoke with a *** at Beyond about before my next payment to them & to not touch it. I want my refund of at least $495 immediately.

      We confirmed your enrollment into the program on October 25, 2023.  At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Expectations about the impacts to enrolled accounts are set in the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 13. Disclaimer.  It reads, in part, as follows:


      "The use of Companys debt resolution services will likely adversely affect Clients creditworthiness and may increase the outstanding balances of Clients enrolled accounts due to the accrual of fees and interest."


      Your program fee is calculated based on your balance at the time of enrollment.  Details of how and when the fee is earned are covered in the same section in paragraph 11. (a) Program Fees.  It reads, in part, as follows:

      "The debt balance used to calculate the program fee shall be the verified and accurate debt amount at the time of enrollment..."

      "Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."

      Beyond Finance met all established expectations prior to earning any installment of the fee related to your authorized resolutions.  At no time did Beyond Finance earn up front fees.  Our records confirm that prior to your requested termination, a total of $2,884 was paid towards your approved offers. 

      The program is designed to care for all enrolled debt throughout the lifetime of the program.  There are several factors taken into account when determining the most favorable account to negotiate including, but not limited to, length of delinquency and accumulated funds.   

      We have confirmed that after your termination request a refund of $509.92 was issued on 9/5/2024.  We are hopeful this is a satisfactory resolution to your concerns.

      Beyond Finance waited until 2 of my 6 credit cards were charged off before you even contacted the credit card company.  One of them went to collections and was never negotiated, but yet you still charged me a fee for services you never performed.  That is fraud.

      At no point did the agent say that they would wait until all of my credit cards were charged off almost doubling my debt for each and every one of my cards.  I spoke with 2 credit card companies who claimed they still didn't even hear from you.  Also, my 3 highest debt credit cards, you waited to resolve until they were charged off instead of the other 3 cards that had a fraction of the debt as the others.  You make money off of the total charges, so it makes sense to wait for my 3 highest debt cards to charge off so you get more money off of them.  Change your fees to go off of the resolved debt instead of the total debt.

      February 2023 I started with this company to consolifdate my loans. at $509 a month and never any money going in to pay the debt I was told it takes awhile did not know they get their money first so as a result my creditors continue to threated me.. so they they said they need to increase my payments to 826 cannot afford this so looked upo other options and was told to cancel when I cancelled they kept my deosits which was over 9000 and did not pay any of my creditors. I am a senior 74 year old widow and so confused how my money can just be taken like that and now I still owe all the debt sith no where to go my house may even be in trouble so afraid and sad

      Review of your program confirmed that at the time of your requested termination, arrangements on four out of your six enrolled accounts had been secured.  Of these, one had been completed and three were in process.  Collectively, across all approved resolutions, $8,209.88 has been paid to your creditors out of the total $9,124 that you had deposited into your dedicated account.  


      We also note that a conditional offer had been extended to you, one that would have required an increase in your monthly payment amount in order to secure the arrangement.  It was not a requirement to increase your payments to stay in the program, only to take advantage of the offer presented.  Beyond Finance would have continued efforts to reach a resolution on this account had you declined to increase your payments.


      At the time of your requested termination, the fees related to your approved arrangements became due in full.  Once these fees were taken into account, there were no remaining funds to issue a refund.  As a goodwill gesture, we are happy to issue a refund in the amount of $498.23, which is equivalent to the balance in your account at the time of your requested termination.

      Around January of 2023 I entered into a debt relief program with Beyond Finance to resolve debts accrued from ********** and ****************. I was told that most credit scores improve after 6-9 months. After a year ********** filed a lawsuit against me to go to court and are currently in the process of issuing me a summons. My credit score is still shattered Beyond Finance informed me that if I don't have the requested money by ***** that I will have to pay a price monthly that far exceeded to what we agreed on during our initial contract. Beyond Finance then pushed a partner loan company that they have as my only real option at that point. This partner company has an extremely high interest rate which if I had taken would have added thousands of dollars to my debt. On or around 4-7-2024 I called them to say I was going to take out a family loan to pay Beyond Finance my remaining balance. I asked the representative to tell me what I owed and how much is needed to end my relationship with this company. The amount was roughly $22,500. I was assured that this was the last payment I needed to make and that the ******* was *************************** acknowledged this in a separate phone call. Beyond Finance has refused to pay off ********** unless I give them thousands of more dollars. I have all of these assurances recorded on their line and have verified that they exist. ***** was a manager that I spoke to assuring me that this was over and that the Chase ******* would be settled. Further proof of my case is that I have not and have not been asked to make a payment since the April 7 2024 payout

      We confirmed your enrollment into the program on January 23, 2023.  At the time of enrollment you would have been advised that it is normal to see an impact to your credit, but typically our customers start to see improvement around the six to nine month mark.  


      Additionally, at the time of your enrollment, you would have been educated about the possibility of accounts moving into a legal status.  We are understanding that this can be a stressful experience and work to resolve those matters in a timely fashion.  This can result in a customer being presented with a conditional offer which may require them to add additional funds, but will resolve the account prior to it progressing further into a legal status.  We are understanding that not everyone is in the position to take advantage of that offer and continue to work to achieve the best possible outcome.


      Review determined that you spoke with an agent on March 30, 2024 inquiring about the amount necessary to pay off your program.  At this time, the agent provided you with an estimated payoff, as your chase account was still pending resolution.  We regret any confusion this interaction may have resulted in and as a good will gesture Beyond Finance will cover any difference required to resolve your Chase account.  An account manager will reach out to you in order to discuss this matter in greater detail.

      This is unacceptable.  Beyond Finance has audio proof that an estimate was not given which has been confirmed by Beyond Finance's manager, Nikki.  I made sure to make sure our business was concluded.  This was confirmed by Nikki.  She also confirmed this.  As evidence of this, I have not made a scheduled payment since April because I was told I had settled the account.  Giving Beyond Finance any more money when they have told me multiple times that our business had concluded is unacceptable.  If I were to do that after Beyond Finance explicitly said, with no ambiguity at all, I was finished with the program there would be nothing to stop Beyond Finance from waiting a few more months then ask for more.  

      My relationship with Beyond Finance has been done for months, they have promised me it would be taken care of, and yet again Beyond Finance is trying to place the blame on it's consumer.  Your own staff has negated the items brought up in your response.  

      I expect Beyond Finance to honor their obligations and clear my debt.  The idea that this was an estimate has been debunked by Beyond Finance's staff multiple times of which there are multiple recordings to confirm all items in my complaint.

      When I closed my account (After being sued by a creditor) I had $731.14 in my "dedicated account". I was told that I had a total of $597.21 left to pay for 4 "Resolution fees". I called today as I have been anticipating a refund for at least some of my money back and was told that I have nothing coming back. Terrible business practice.

      I have a complaint against Beyond Financial, I started with them with the understanding that they could resolve my debt with Lendmark back in April 2024 I have been paying ****** a month. They did resolve 3 small acct which I pay 50 a month. I checked my account ************ is at .99 cents, I ask where the rest of the money is going each ************ said there fee, never get a break down on anything. I received a sumon to appear in count about ********, I called they said they have been calling the attorneys but not getting return calls they put in offer but no response from attorney ofc. I called attorney they said they spoke to him on 7/19 July 31 and they were to call back 1 August with the offer from the client but it was August 23 when I called the attorneys ofc and they havent heard from Beyond since July 31 then I called Beyond Beyond said but they got an offer for like ****** and something I said thats more than what the account is for so I called the attorney back. The attorney said we never gave him that offer. We never gave them that amount. The amount is like ****** and something so Beyond is upping, the offer to a 25% fee for themselves Ive asked to have that in writing from the attorney that they said they received they said they emailed it to me. Never get it asked for supervisor to call me never get it. I cant get anyone to refer me to anybody higher that I can discuss my account with so now I have to go to court and pay court fees and everything else because Beyond cant do their job and theyre charging me outrageous prices on offers that dont exists. Shall I spoke to them Wednesday, Thursday and Friday which wouldve been August 22 23rd and 24th asked for supervisor to call me have not heard from one I asked them to call the attorney to get the offer of the ****** in writing they said they cant do that for me to call and get the offer in writing when Im paying them to do the job The attorney cant they said she gave ***** offer, is a lie.

At the time you reached out regarding a resolution offer on your Lendmark account you were in three active arrangements.  The payments towards these arrangements utilized the majority of your available funds in your dedicated account.  It is important to keep in mind that the program is designed to care for all enrolled accounts and their related fee throughout the lifetime of your enrollment.  At any time an agent would have been happy to provide you a breakdown of your ledger or assist you in accessing it on your own.


      Our records confirmed contact with the ********** on July 19 and July 31 with an unsuccessful attempt to reach them on August 6.  When an agent was able to connect on August 21 they were provided with an offer of $13,857 which was your balance plus interest at the time.  Our agents educated you about the details of this offer on August 21.  Subsequently, our agent was able to secure the arrangement you referenced of $10,276 however you elected to terminate your program.  Please keep in mind that in both instances, no fee for Beyond Finance would have been earned.


      We regret that there was difficulty in connecting with a supervisor, however several attempts to reach you were made both via phone and email.  We also reflect that while you had difficulty connecting with a supervisor, you were regularly in contact with account managers who were able to answer your questions and provide status updates.

      I joined Beyond Finance to help resolve two depts. one dept was resolved in April 2024 the other had not received a settlement offer. I decided to leave the program August 2024 Beyond Finance withdrew three months of payments of $198 to be held into account until enough money was in account to make a settlement offer. After i ended the program that money was not refunded to me saying it was for administrative and other charges. I want help getting a refund.

      The referenced payments for May, June and July were being utilized to both care for the outstanding fee balance as well as accrue towards your next resolution offer.  At the time of your requested termination on August 10, 2024 the balance in your dedicated account was $19.25.  This amount was placed towards the outstanding fee balance for the account that had been resolved.

      Beyond has lied repeatedly and doesnt not call back. I called to have my account closed, was told by multiple account managers theyd close it, to only never follow up while the account continues to try and take money to the point where I had to place a stop payment with my bank. This place is fraudulent and I highly suggest never using them.

      I was told this over a month ago and have gone through multiple account managers who promise to call me or call me back, and Never do. I was told that I owed nothing and could close the account by the first Account Manager, only to be told something different by the second, who then told me that they would look at the call transcript and If that's what was said they would close it, but he'd call me back. Never received a call since.

      This company has taken 12 payments in 4 months it was to be every other month for credit repair they have not done nothing but take a elderly lady money I called they said only have 6 payments so am sending them bank statements of *************************************************************************************************************************** so .
