Im 99% positive this company sold my personal IDENTIFIABLE information to shady companies. I cancelled my service with them shortly after starting it due to all of the horror stories and complaints Ive read about them. The day after I cancelled, I started receiving 3-4 finance related scam calls per day. All around shady company.Business Response

I dont believe this for a second. They realized that they werent going to get any more money out of me as a customer, so they did what they could to make one last buck off of me with my information. The only way to get the truth out of them is to conduct an investigation. There is direct correlation between my cancelling this service and these spam calls. I have done no business/provided any of this information to any other financial businesses this past month. Every single scam call is finance related.Business Response

I do not accept this answer and do not believe the legitimacy of your internal investigation. The only type of investigation I will trust is if your company is federally investigated, which you should be for all of your other shady practices anyway. There is nothing you can do to convince me that you people didnt mishandle my information. Im not going to keep running around in circles and wasting my time, so I want this complaint closed. But I want it directly stated for the record that you people did nothing to satisfactorily address my concerns and I do not accept the legitimacy of your efforts.Initial Complaint

I finished all scheduled payments in May. In June I noticed another payment scheduled and reached out about my graduation paperwork and the pending payment. Was told it was an error and the payment was cancelled and I would hear soon about graduation. After three weeks, I reached out again and was told I didn't have enough left over in my dedicated account to pay remaining fees. I was told I had to make an additional two payments for July and August before I could graduate. Today I reached out about graduation and was told I needed to make additional payments as my payment was "cancelled" because there was not sufficient funds in the dedicated account (it was over $1900), Today it shows my account has been emptied but somehow I still need to make payments without the company contacting me in any way about additional payments. I repeatedly ask for paperwork and will not get it, always being referred to a document of my payment history or my welcome packet. None of which has these new dates and numbers. I attached the three chat histories to show the lack of consistent communciation and transparency with MY money. At this point, I don't think I will be seeing any of my money back, but I cannot get this company to close my account and now have to contact my bank to block attempts to pull money from me. Highly debating a lawyer at this point because it seems highly predatory that they continuously claim more payments need to be made after my debt has been paid off and noted so with the credit bureau. Avoid this company, find someone else because they have no interest in letting accounts close.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.
In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with the graduation process.
We apologize for any miscommunication or misunderstanding that has occurred. Upon your initial conversation regarding this matter on May 30, 2023 the agent did inform that the final payment had been made and they would cancel future payments. This agent was referring to the final payment on the settlement and did not clearly communicate that there was still an outstanding fee remaining related to that settlement.
Our records reflect that you have recently spoken with an Account Manager regarding this situation and they have reassured you that the final fee has been paid and your account is in a pending graduation status. Please accept our genuine apology for the difficulty you have experienced. We are hopeful this resolution has been satisfactory.
Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

This company is continuing to take $274.49 out of my checking account every month and will not settle a credit case for me. I have an extensive credit and ** trying to get it fixed and Ive been talking to them for months they never call me about settling my loans or my credit cards. They only call me when I give them. Bad feedback Well right now we are **** near living in poverty because of these people and they are continuing to take money out of my account. I called and I asked them to terminate the account so they can stop taking money out of my account. This is my last my very last attempt to settle out with these people I want them to terminate my account and refund my money. If not, I have to close my bank account so they can stop taking money out of my account and file for bankruptcy. This business has over 200 complaints about their predatorial and aggressive state to take peoples money and continue taking it well not anymore. I want my money back from these people. This is my final attempt. Ive already talk to the bank. I could close my account up any day now and they wont be taking a **** thing were out of my account but every time I called him to close my account. No one is there to help me with it at all but theyre continuing to take money out of my account on the second of each month Im ready to cut all ties with this company.Business Response

**************,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.
In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with your program progress and as a result you are requesting to terminate.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on May 25, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about program program progress can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8. "Timing and Program Estimates". It reads, in part, as follows:
"...in our experience an accumulation of 25%-50% of the then-current balance of a Debt and approximately 4-6 months from the last payment will normally enable us to make a good-faith offer to resolve your first and subsequent Debts."
In addition to the need to accumulate funds, most creditors require a period of inactivity prior to being willing to offer favorable settlement options. Your program was still within that threshold.
Our records indicate that after the date this complaint was issued, you spoke with an Account Manager and opted to stay in the program. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

So I enrolled into the program back in May 2023. They suggested that the generalized settlement was about 19K and I would needed to have $150.00 debited from my acocunt every two weeks. I reached out to them after I realized 600 was gathered and inquired whether or not they reached out to any of the creditors. Beyond Finance did not, however an excuse was made stating that we needed to accumulate enough funding to settle. The reality is they had more than enough at least close 75% for one bill to be settled and disappear. However that never happened. I did call and cancel them today. I should've never used their services because it is flagged as caring about the invidivual but more about keeping your money. They don't properly explain what "fees" exist in the contract. I hope I get all my money back.Business Response

I signed up for this program in April. I started the bi-weekly drafts and left my debts in their hands. During that time I was told to Stop paying those bills and they would negotiate settlements for me. Not only have they not contacted 5 of my creditors at all, their fees are not clearly disclosed upon signing up for the program. They charge 25% of your settled amount each month. That is a predatory amount charged to people looking for a fresh start. The fees were charged 2 days after I requested this account closed.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the frustration you have experienced.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on March 31, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about program progress can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement"in paragraph 8. "Timing and Program Estimates". It reads, in part, as follows:
"While guidelines differ widely among Creditors, in our experience an accumulation of 25%-50% of the then-current balance of a Debt and approximately 4-6 months from the last payment will normally enable us to make a good-faith offer to resolve your first and subsequent Debts."
Beyond Finance met these expectations by securing two settlement offers. The program is designed to reach out to creditors at strategic times throughout the lifetime of your program. This is done to ensure we can make the best effort to secure the most favorable settlement offers.
Additionally, information about program fees can be located under the same section in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of *****% percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program"
" Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."
Upon your requested termination, you were in two active settlements. The fees earned for those settlements were processed from your remaining balance. The difference was refunded to you on August 30, 2023.
We are hopeful we have been able to provide clarity to your concerns. Should you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

I enrolled in debt consolidation with this company in January of 2023. I had a total of 5 accounts enrolled with them. They have only been able to settle 2 accounts and in the process have taken over **** from my account and only 640 has been payed to my debt. This was not disclosed to me before i signed up. I have called several times and have asked for a refund and was told they the fees were bot refundable. They said they would only take 25 percent and their fees clearly exceed that amount. I want a full refund from this company.Business Response

********************,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.
In your complaint, you expressed dissatisfaction with your program progress.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on January 27,2023.
Beyond Finance met these expectations by securing two settlement offers, the first of which was extended in March 2023 approximately two months into your program.
Additionally, information about program fees can be located under the same section in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
" Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."
We met all established expectations to earn the fee related to both of your settlements. None of the program fees earned by Beyond Finance exceeded the established 25% of the balance. In addition to the program fee, the Enrollment Agreement covered the fee earned by CFT for your dedicated savings account and the fee earned by ***************** Legal Club.
At this time, we will not be issuing a refund. Should you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

This company took money from my acct supposed to be reaching settlement agreements with my creditors & using the money I provided to pay these creditors. They however breached a settlement agreement with ************** & didn't issue payment on the 1st of August like agreed upon so Synchrony canceled the agreement & when I reached out to Beyond to get an understanding I was told I didn't have enough money in my acct for them to make the payment. Upon arguing with them I was then told they didn't know why they didn't pay Synchrony on the 1st. I spoke to an acct manager on August 18th to cancel their services due to the breach on their end. I was told on a recorded audio call by ************************* that no settlement fees would be charged since no settlement took place I'd have 5-7 days depending on my bank to get refund. Instead of the $642.45 they only refunded $98.41.Business Response

**************,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.
In your complaint, you expressed dissatisfaction with the servicing of your program.
Review of your account ledger confirmed that the initial payment to Synchrony failed. It was determined the payment was properly issued by Beyond Finance, however it was rejected by Synchrony. Beyond Finance reached out to Synchrony to determine why the payment had been rejected and reestablished the payment. The payment successfully cleared.
We apologize for any miscommunication with the agent during your termination conversation. As this issue was with Synchrony, and was being cared for by our negotiations department, this payment was likely in transit at the time of your requested termination and not showing as processed to your program. The agent did offer to provide additional assistance regarding research into that payment but you declined and opted to move forward with the termination request.
At this time, Beyond Finance will not be issuing a refund as the payment to Synchrony was made and cleared. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,

Review of your account ledger for your dedicated savings account with ******************** Technologies (CFT) reflects the initial payment effort. This is available for your review through CFT.

Company failed to finalize my debt consolidation program in November 2022 when I had finished paying it off and owed me a refund. Not only did they not issue me the refund or close the program, the company fraudulently started deducting payments from my personal bank account again in May 2023. When I called to discuss this, they refunded the most recent charge of $273 the next day but have not refunded the additional $1610 they still owe. I was told the process would be expedited due to the situation and it has not been. I was also told to email the manager I spoke with (*************************) with any issues and have not received a reply or phone call back. This company stole money from me for four months and did not stop until I finally called them to address it. I have had nothing but issues in trying to resolve this even though all representatives tell me it is being handled and expedited.Business Response

Ms. ******************* you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced.

Review of your account determined that the refund in the amount of $1,610.31 was issued on August 29, 2023. We sincerely apologize for the delay. Your program was processed through the graduation process to ensure there were no outstanding tasks related to your program. This resulted in the small delay in the refund.

Beware of this company. Its more of a scam. They claim to help and give you financial freedom but they will put you on more of a financial burden. The settlement fees are RIDICULOUS. They make it all sound great in the beginning. And sure, they can get SOME of your settlements to around 50%. But you then have to pay 25% of the total debt. Before using this company, know this, you are way better off trying to settle it yourself and saving on settlement fees. The card companys will work with you. BF will not get in a hurry. There is a high chance you will get sued, and when that happens theres very little chance of getting it settled for less, and you still have to pay the settlement fee (which happened to me) and all they kept saying was we have tried to call them and reach a settlement but they never would accept an offer. Well I dont believe that, my last account I had, they kept saying weve been trying to reach them but they havent come to a settlement agreement yet. I hung up the phone, called the creditor myself, and got a settlement offer less than they proposed and paid it off my self, and the best part? I didnt have to pay 25% settlement fee. So they either lied or their negotiators suck! Do not trust this company. I also called multiple times and asked how much do I need to pay to be done? They gave me a number, I paid that entire number, then a week later I get notified oh sorry, we forgot to include the settlement fees, so youll still owe us around $2000, It didnt matter how many times I expressed I was told from multiple agents this was my final price to be done, all they could claim was that was an estimate and they didnt include the settlement fees. They are out to make money, not help you. Im sure Ill get the same copy and paste response because they have an answer for everything to save their butts. I want to make more people aware of this companys scheme. Do your self a favor, and do not use BF.Business Response

******************,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for any frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.
In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with your program progress and communication.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on January 25, 2021. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about program fees can be located under the section titled "Debt Settlement & Negotiation Services Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The Client agrees to pay the Company a settlement fee in the amount of ***** % percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program and where Company settles the debt, whether directly or indirectly through Companys agents, with the creditor."
All settlement fees charged in relation to your enrolled accounts where approved settlements were reached were within the established expectations. Additionally, information about all program estimates, including the estimated program settlement amount and estimated fees, can be located under the section entitled program snapshot.
Review of the interaction with the agent regarding the payoff determined the agent provided you with an estimate to pay off your program. The agent advised that as we were still working to negotiate the final settlement offer on one of your accounts, they would only be able to provide you with an estimated amount. Records reflect that this amount cared for the settlement and remaining fees. You were refunded $72.26 on August 26, 2023.
We are hopeful we have been able to provide some insight to your concerns. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

You didnt even answer regards of your agents lying, saying they have been in contact with my last creditor (Gold Sachs) they told me they had not reached an agreement yet. But when I called, they easily settled for less than you guys proposed. So either your agents lied, or they **** at negotiating. Once I got the settlement myself, I called and had that account removed. Because your agents could not get the job done.Business Response

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
