I don't even know where to start. My issues with the company are pretty much identical to the other complaints I just read that have been recent. Overcharging, them taking large sums of money from my account for no apparent reason when there has been no recent resolutions or ************** made as states in their terms, lack of communication, unclear terms and misleading directions, being misinformed by sales people the cost to do business with them, etc. I'm actually losing money this way than if I were to go back to paying off my debts myself. They even tried to settle one of my accounts for MORE than I originally owed somehow. I'm not even sure how that works. Definitely a scam company. Avoid. All of their responses are the exact same as well. A generic response that solves nothing. There should really be a lawsuit filed against this business.

      ****************,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on December 6, 2022.  At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Information about program fees can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees".  It reads, in part, as follows:

"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of ***** % percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program"

"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."

All settlement fees earned were taken in accordance with the established expectations, no fee exceeded 25% of the enrolled balance.  Additionally of the two settlement fees earned, each fee was taken shortly after the first payment was made on the respective settlement.

You enrollment interaction was reviewed and it was determined that the agent provided education about the program fees, including the amount of the fee and when the fees are earned.

Regarding the settlement offer on your Discover account, the offer presented to you was based off of the account balance at the time of settlement negotiations.  Beyond Finance believes in transparency and makes every effort to present all settlement offers.  In the event that a settlement offer is rejected, Beyond Finance continues efforts to negotiate the balance.

We are sorry to have lost you as a client, but value your feedback.  At this time, Beyond Finance will not be issuing a refund.  Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

I joined Beyond Finance a year ago and at first, they were doing great with settling my debts. I than deposited $8000 in one lump sum to finish negotiating on my debts in the first week in May of 2023. Beyond Finance sat on my money for 3 months. They did settle only one debt. I still had a balance of $6000. When I directly reached out to the creditors that I owed money to they said they were only contacted one time and had no additional contact with Beyond finance for over three months. I called Beyond Finance multiple times questioning what is taking so long. I was told they were working on it. I explained each call I am trying to refinance my house and I need these resolved asap. They assured me they were working on this. I decided to quit the program and finish paying the remaining myself due to the amount of time it was taking them. I still have a credit of over $3000.00 with Beyond Finance. I am told it takes 1-3 days for review and to make sure the creditors have my money and then after **** days I will get my money back. I just want my credit back asap and my biggest concern is they sat on my $6000 with zero work on my account for months. This is not ok. I want others to be aware of how they operate.

      ******************,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.  We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.

In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with your program progress.  You are requesting a refund of your remaining balance in your dedicated savings account.

First, we want to assure you that your refund has been processed and issued.  A total of $3,240.84 was issued on August 3, 2023.

We regret that you were dissatisfied with your program progress.  At the time of your requested termination, Beyond Finance had reached ten settlement offers.  While lump sum deposits can often allow Beyond Finance additional leverage to reach favorable settlement offers, we are still reliant upon working with the creditors to reach these agreements.  We understand that your creditors indicated that Beyond Finance had not recently reached out, but want to assure you that your program was frequently monitored to ensure we reached out to your creditors at optimal times to secure beneficial settlement offers.

We are hopeful that we have resolved this matter to your satisfaction, as the refund has been issued.  Should you have any additional concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

Tha date of the Transaction Is approximate to 6/1/21. The amount of. After one yr passed on 7/1/23 beyond finance pulled ****** frauduantly from my checking account and still have another deposit pending for 8/1/23. In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction over your program progress.  You are requesting a refund.

Review of your program determined that you recently spoke with an Account Manager regarding this issue.  The Account Manager explained that we are currently waiting for *********** to verify the funds provided by Beyond Finance to care for the agreement.  We appreciate your patience and understanding that Beyond Finance is doing everything we can to resolve this matter.

Our records indicate the last payment attempt was on July 7, 2023 and this payment failed.  We apologize for any miscommunication regarding future payments.  As soon as the matter with *********** is resolved, a refund of all available funds in your dedicated account will be issued.  This is not an interest bearing account, so no interest is being earned on the balance.

I have been paying $333 monthly on $12,000 debt , ostensibly negotiated down to $6561. Apparently it was arranged for me to pay until ****. Twenty months more!!! So they are charging me an additional $3664, more than half the "settled" amount. That sounds like loan sharking to **** did call **** current iteration, but the phone never connects, always "full" or nonfunctioning. I had called a couple times to confirm BF was legit. Never got through. Even today!! I think BOTH these orgs are loansharks and not consumer help. My bill went up while they were messing around (I was told not to pay on it) so was $1500 higher than originally. I should gave just kept paying. Beyond Finance is NOT a consumer assistance org in any sense. Just a manipulator. I was under insane pressures at the time and took the **** reference as meaning these oeople would help me. I was wrong.

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.  We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.

In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with the manner in which your settlement is structured and the fee related to that settlement.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on July 27, 2022.

The fee related to your authorized settlement is 25% of the enrolled balance.  The authorized settlement is structured so it and the related fee can be paid off throughout the lifetime of your program.  At enrollment, you elected to move forward with an estimated 30 month program.  Additionally, the related fees for both your dedicated savings account and the ***************** program are also taken into account.

The settlement that was negotiated and authorized was a 53% settlement based on your enrolled balance, which is in alignment with estimates provided in your enrollment agreement.

Your program is being serviced within the established expectations as set forth in your Enrollment Agreement.  We are hopeful we have been able to provide clarity to your concerns.  Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on August 18, 2022.   At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Information about potential litigation can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 13. "Disclaimer".  It reads, in part, as follows:

"Clients enrolling in the Program may be subject to collections or sued by their creditors or debt collectors for nonpayment and Client must take this into consideration"

Beyond Finance presented four settlement offers on your **** of America, in October, November, December and January.  There was no response from you to any of these settlement offers and they all subsequently expired.

Additionally, several attempts to reach you regarding the status of this account were made via phone call and email with no success.

Information about how a fee is earned is covered in the same sections mentioned above in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees".  It reads, in part, as follow:

"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."

The response by Beyond Finance is a copy and paste from other responses and they did not address several things that are unique to my experience with them.

Their claims to have had tried to reach me via phone call in RE BOA settlement offer are FALSE. I have scoured my phone logs and voicemails and there are NONE from beyond finance in the months they claimed. I received 4 text messages. THAT IS ALL.

They also failed to address the multiple broken promises made by Beyond Finance associates.

They also failed to address the fact that they asked me to send my legal docs, said they would reach out to me, and never did. FOUR TIMES. They removed BOA without even notifying me. When I was served by BOA, BOA was still on my beyond finance account dashboard and i have screenshots to prove it.

They have caused me more time and energy and worry than any help offered on their end.

So I was sold a beautiful picture by the sales person for beyond finance. I was told we will negotiate your balanced down and most settle for 50% and save you money. She told me for their efforts to help me they would take a small fee based on the negotiated settlement. They told me the process would consist of me filling an account with my monthly dues and building a stash of money that they could then use to go and negotiate settlements with and that there goal was to settle lump amounts and that they would pay themselves as those lump amounts were fished out. So painted this pretty picture I agreed. They told me to default on all my credit cards that were current because it was the only way to negotiate. She also told me I had full control of the account and they wouldnt take any money out without my approval. Once the program started in march i put in $670, April $523, My $523 and thinking ohh cool Ive build a nice little chunk there going to after these tiny balances. No they settle the largest balance and immediately take all the money in my account for themselves as a fee. And then setup a payment plan that allows them to take *** of the money I contribute to this one settlement. Meaning that I cannot build up any money to settle the other accounts. So the initial sales pitch to me was a complete lie! Then they have some account rep call me and spew all this propaganda to me like Im an idiot, that wasnt part of the original conversation. I finally got fed up after reading more about the scam that this is and I want a refund for not only deceiving me with their pitch but not conducting honest business.

I paid Beyond Finance 5 payments of $280.62 each for a total of $1403.10. This included a direct debit to them on 6/29/23 that was taken out after I had canceled services with them. Beyond Finance only paid 1 creditor, Midland Credit, 3-$100 payments for a total of $300. The remainder of the money Beyond Finance received from me, $1103.10 they took for monthly fees and settlement fees including 3 settlement fees of $44.97, $435.54, and $534.54. The fees are exorbinant, were not fully disclosed, and since only 1 settlement (with Midland) was negotiated and since canceled, yet Beyond Finance charged/collected $1,015.05 in settlement fees - more than 3 times what they paid ($300) on my Midland account. I am requesting a refund to imclude the settlement fees as well as the last direct debit that they took from my bank account after I had canceled services.

This however was NOT clearly reviewed/stated when resolution was reached with *******. 25% fee on debt balance is extremely excessive and one which no  person would think is reasonable or acceptable. The fact also remains that Beyond has collected and holds a considerable amount more of my money than what they paid ********** my behalf. It is quite a racket that you have going on and one in which congressional representatives should be made aware (which is what I intend to do.) It is unconscionable. A refund of funds collected from me, minus the payment made to Midland is absolutely in order.

Please let me know when a refund can be expected. Once received I will notify my congressional representatived that this has been resolved.

All other fees related to your program, including your fees paid to ******************** Technologies as well as towards the **************** ********** were also disclosed to you at the time of your enrollment and are covered in your Enrollment Agreement and the ***************** ********** Agreement respectively.

At this time, Beyond Finance will not be issuing a refund for fees earned.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

      Sincerely,

Beyond Finance has not done a thing to resolve this, have not issued a refund for exorbinant and non disclosed fees. Despite numerous deposits I made to them (see previous documentation) they only paid mimimal payment to creditor, Midland. They have kept the rest and refuse to refund. This company should be noted as a SCAM on BBB to warn off people from their shady practices.

In the 10 months I've been with Beyond Finance they settled 1 account. They've done nothing with any of the other accounts that were enrolled in their program. they keep giving me the excuse of it hasn't been long enough since a payment was made. Now I have 10 months worth of interest & late fees on the accounts and no settlements in sight. They take fees from my payments every month and are now charging me almost $1,200 in additional fees at the end because of the 1 account they settled. I've gotten nothing but excuses and no progress in 10 months. I've settled 4 accounts on my own that they told me couldn't be settled yet.I'd like them to waive the fee of close to $1,200 they're charging me.

      ******************,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.  We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.

In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with your program progress and fees related to your program.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on September 20, 2022.   At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Information about program progress and program fees can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph s 8. "Timing and Program Estimates and 11. (a) "Program Fees".  They read, in part, as follows:

"Further, in our experience it typically takes approximately 4-6 months before reaching the stage at which Company can begin reaching out to creditors or collectors and achieve your first resolution. If the Client has multiple debts, Company typically will make an offer to the next creditor within approximately 3-6 months of when the prior debt was resolved and after the Client has saved 40%-50% of the debt due to the next creditor."

" The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of ***** % percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program"

Beyond Finance has met the servicing expectations as set forth in the Enrollment Agreement.  The fee you referenced is the fee related to your authorized settlement and has been calculated into your monthly program payment.

We are hopeful this has provided clarity to your concerns.  Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

When I spoke with sales rap, they said my debt will be reduced about 50%.They said they have done dealing with credit card companies all the time, so they are very confidence about what they are doing. I got 2 settlement offers so far, and they are not 50% like they presented.so let's do the math.My total debt is about $40,000. They will take big chunk of 25% from here, so it is $10,000.If they can reduce my debt by 50%, then I have about $10,000 relief. That is what I agreed on. That is what I traded for ruining my credit and give up all my credit cards. However, the settlement offer I got today was only 37%. Not even close to 50%. The other settlement offer I got was also less than 50%. If I keep getting 37% settlement, I will be be ended up paying $36,800 out of $40,000 So..is it worth it? It is $3200 'saving' and my credit score is down to the bottom. Who benefits the most? Beyond Finance. Because they are taking money from total enrolled debt, not the money they are able to negotiate. Because regardless of how they are doing the job, they will still make $10,000. They said they try their best to get down to 50%. Try is not really good enough when you deal with money. If you promised 50%, it should be 50% or close to 50%. Not 37%!!Now I understand why they charge the fee based on total enrolled debt, not how much they reduce. Because they can't just keep their promises. If I knew they are not capable of negotiating 50%, I would probably deal directly with credit card companies. Now, my credit is ruined, all my credit cards are cancelled and closed. I am pretty sure you have a find print somewhere saying that they can't negotiate down to 50% or something to avoid a legal trouble, but that is not what your sales rep ******* you are not able to negotiate down to 50% or close to 50%, please adjust the fee!P.s: the company is claiming you are BBB accredited. It is displayed on the first page of their website. It turns out they are NOT BBB accredited!

      ************,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.  We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.

In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction over the settlement fee.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on January 5, 2023.   At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Information about the program fees can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees".  In reads, in part, as follows:

"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of *****% percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program and where Company resolves the debt, whether directly or indirectly through Companys agents, with the creditor."

While it is our goal to reach a settlement agreement of approximately 50%, that is not a guarantee and our fee is not contingent upon a specific settlement amount.  As noted on the first page of your enrollment agreement:

"We do not guarantee that your debts will be resolved for a specific amount or percentage or within a specific period of time".

Review of your program reflects you have been in communication with an Account Manager regarding this matter and it is currently under review for a good faith adjustment to your fee.  Once that is completed the Account Manager will reach out to you to advise of the outcome of the review.

We are hopeful that that has provided clarity to your concerns.  Additionally, rest assured that Beyond Finance is accredited with the Better Business Bureau.  Should you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

      Thank you for the message.

I knew you would have somewhere in the contract state that you are not responsible or guarantee for specific rate for settlement so you can avoid a legal issue.

And I am not insisting on 50%.Sales rap said 50% and your dashboard give an estimate for 50%, so I expected close to 50% at least.

You didn't do anything wrong legally, but again, when you deal with someone else's money, you need estimate at least close to what you estimate.

I had 800 credit score, and total of over $60,000 credit limit.

Now my credit score is around 500 and I have $1000 credit limit. My life has changed a lot since I enrolled this program.

I didn't have money to pay, so it is true that I am still saving money on interest and etc..

Or maybe I negotiate with credit card companies directly for payment plan so I can keep the credit cards at least and maybe drop only 100 credit score.

I did spoke with manager, and she said she will try to see what Beyond can do. So I will wait until all my credit card is settled.

Hopefully BOA was very rare case they don't want to negotiate or hopefully you don't know how to deal with BOA.

You don't have to respond to this case, as I already spoke with someone.

However, I would like to keep the case open if I can. If you have to respond to the case within a certain time frame, you can just write a short note to just keep the case.

Again, I appreciate you write a reply and look into it.

      Thank you.

On Sunday 6/18/2023 I reached out to Beyond Finance's customer service and spoke to a representative to cancel my debt consolidation program with them due to poor service and also because I found a more affordable program to work with. They canceled my program during that call and sent me a confirmation email stating my program with them was now cancelled and my remaining deposited funds of $835.83 would be refunded to me within **** business days. Today, 6/26/2023 I received both a text and an email that Beyond had a settlement offer with one of my creditors but this should have since I had cancelled my account a week ago. When I called Beyond they didn't have a solid answer or solution and came up with excuses and delays around when I'd get my refund back and if it would even be the amount they told me last week. Used excuses of "well we sent a business a payment toward a settlement" but that never should have happened AFTER the date I cancelled. I want them to send me the amount they quoted and promised of $835.83. I even have a screenshot of what is owed back to me. They had no right to take any more money from my deposited balance to pay toward any settlements since my last deposit ($582.98) was made on Friday 6/16 and I cancelled on 6/18 (with a cancelled confirmation email) and I also showed a current balance of my funds $335.09 on 6/18 (the day I called to cancel) since my 6/16 deposit has not yet posted. This seems very illegal for them to be doing anything with my money AFTER the day of cancellation.

      *******************,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.  We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.

In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction over the amount of your refund.

We confirmed that your requested termination on June 19, 2023 has been fully processed.  Unfortunately, the timing of your requested termination took place while your next settlement payments were in transit.  This resulted in the processing of those payments while your program termination was in progress.

We apologize for this inconvenience and are working to resolve this issue by processing the refund.  We appreciate your patience as we take the necessary steps to ensure this matter is addressed correctly.   An account manager will reach out to you to discuss and ensure the resolution is to your satisfaction.

We look forward to reaching a conclusion to this matter for you.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC
