In 12/2021, I enrolled in Beyond Finance. I told the rep that my credit was good (700s) and that I was making ALL payments on time, every month. The rep said that I could get my debt consolidated and that Beyond would be able to negotiate with the creditors to lower my debt. I asked how it would affect my credit and the rep explained that it would lower my credit temporarily because I would need to stop paying in order for them to negotiate a reduced amount (to show hardship). However, the rep assured me that my credit would be repaired pretty quickly once all my debts were resolved (about 48 months). I also agreed to deposit $359.14 per month, which is ALL I could afford. They were able to resolve with the first two creditors. When they got to the 3rd, they approached me with a negotiation where I would need to magically come up with $1000+ up front, and increase my initial AGREED upon, monthly deposit, Without a job, I was unable to commit to the increased amount. That's when I was advised to withdraw the creditor from the plan because it would "just get worse." I had NO IDEA that a creditor could *** me. I was also NOT told that I had access to "discounted" legal services, so I hired a private attorney. Beyond needs to reimburse $1500 for my attorney fees. I received threatening letters, stating that they could access my bank accounts to recover the debt. NO copies of contracts were sent to me until I spoke with a manger on May 25, 2023. They were also not on client dashboard. In addition, I was duped into the Above Lending program, and when they deposited the $ needed for the final creditor, Beyond became *** in negotiating, saying creditor did not agree to anything less. I have paid an EXTRA fee to Above Lending for no reason. Beyond Finance is engaging in PREDATORY practices on all who don't understand the system and are already drowning. We confirmed your enrollment into the program on December 28, 2021. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about the potential for litigation can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 13. "Disclaimer". In reads, in part, as follows:
"Clients enrolling in the Program may be subject to collections or sued by their creditors"
Additionally, at the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist also reviewed your ***************** ********** Agreement with you prior to your signing. This provided you with information about the discounted legal services available to you. Both of these documents were sent to you via email after you completed the Docusign.
Beyond Finance does not guarantee that your debts will be resolved for a specific amount or percentage. In this circumstance, due to the status of the account, ********************** was able to reach a settlement offer that would have required additional funds. Understanding that was not an option for you, you were advised it may be required for you to remove the account from the program.
You were provided with the option to pursue a loan with Above Lending, but were not required to. Regarding the final account, an offer has been presented to you and is waiting for your approval.
At this time Beyond Finance will not be providing compensation for your attorney fees. Should you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on February 3, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about the program progress expectations can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8. "Timing and Program Estimates". In reads, in part, as follows:
"...in our experience an accumulation of 25%-50% of the then-current balance of a Debt and approximately 4-6 months from the last payment will normally enable us to make a good-faith offer to resolve your first and subsequent Debts."
Beyond Finance presented your first settlement offer to you on February 15, 2023. You approved this offer and the first payment was made on March 13, 2013.
Information about program fees can be found under the same section in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
" Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor"
Beyond Finance met all established criteria to earn the fee related to this settlement. At the time of your requested termination, after fees related to this settlement were processed, you were refunded the amount remaining in your dedicated savings account.

I signed up for debt settlement with Beyond Finance. I immediately regretted it and cancelled with the form they require for cancellation. This was submitted on 5/20. They have yet to cancel it and call me daily so a manager can close my accounts and answer questions I have. I have repeatedly told them that I just want it closed and have no questions and will not be talking with them since the cancellation clause doesnt require it. They keep saying I need to speak with someone and they are just trying to retain my business.Business Response

The worst debt resource. This is a profit based business they will mislead you and take your money of 25% off the top once the settle the highest amount Leaving your enrolled account empty while supposedly trying to negotiate with other accounts while your being charged off and they consuming your monies in what they say was fees. I had no idea and would have never agreed if explained properly from The start. They still money from me and took advantage of my position. The worst scammers . Beyond Finance works with your enrolled creditors to reach settlements on your accounts. Once a settlement has been negotiated and approved, payments will be made towards that settlement. These payments are not the same as your previously scheduled monthly payments with your creditor.
As a result of enrolling in the program, your creditor may opt to close your accounts and report to the credit bureau regardless of settlement status. This is at their discretion.
Beyond Finance was making all scheduled settlement payments on your **** of America account at the time of your requested termination. Additionally, a settlement offer was presented to you on your *********** account that you declined.

Beyond Finance has not made any progress on my debt settlement. My credit took a dive even though I was told it is just going to be a slight dip. Upon enrollment, our team of negotiators begins to review your program regularly to determine the best time to reach out to your creditors. Once our team is confident that a beneficial settlement arrangement can be reached, they engage with the creditors.

5/8/2023 I requested an online consultation; however I received a phone call from "****" we reviewed all my credit information and he explained the process, my payments, how things worked and my savings. Then asked for my banking information; I asked if I could get a copy of the agreement before releasing my banking information as I have been scammed by a debt relief program in the past; and he told me he could not release the agreement to me without my bank information. When I told him I wasn't comfortable with that; he got rude and raised his voice wanting to know what I was going to do about my debt and wanted to know why I would rather suffer instead of letting him help me. I explained again that without something in writing to review first I would not give him my banking information. He got loud and belittled me wanting answers on how I was going to repair my credit. I would not recommend him or this company to an enemy. I'm having a hard enough time dealing with everything I've went through and trying to repair my credit and life; I don't need someone to talk down to me too... We signed up with company in May 2022. They took out payments of $359.41 twice a month. When we signed up they said we would qualify for a loan to pay full amount in three months if we did not apply for new credit and make payments on time (auto debited from our checking account) - which was done. After three months the said it is 6 months and we were misinformed by rep. ********** from May 2022 to February 2023 (we had closed our bank account so no more debits were taken out) they collected $6469.38 and settled 1 account in full for $333. The few other accounts were being paid at $1 per month. They took all there fees out at I believe 25% at full amount of balance of credit card not the settlement amount with a total of $6191.68 most of this is their fees. This is a scam and false claims as they said this would have little impact to our credit - most of our creditors have charged off our account and we can not use them again. We are in process of contacting our creditors to make our own payment terms. We feel as they have not done any thing they stated that they would and are looking for a refund of fees paid to Beyond Finance.Business Response

Was misinformed by their representative. Had to do an immediate docu-sign for contract. Was informed on fees but was told in 3 months that we would qualify for a loan - which was a lie. The waited to do any types of settlements for months at which point a lot of accounts were either charged off or in collections. Was under the impression that loan would pay all fees and accounts. Most accounts were for less than the 50% settlement like they implied. We had one account that we just make settlement arrangements with on our own for better than 50% off balance.Business Response

During your enrollment you were advised that you would be eligible for review for the loan option by Above Lending. Beyond Finance does not make final decisions on loan qualification.
Additionally, information about the expected timeframe of settlements can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8 "Timing and Program Estimates". In reads, in part, as follows:
"Further, in our experience it typically takes approximately 4-6 months before reaching the stage at which Company can begin reaching out to creditors or collectors and achieve your first resolution."
Settlement efforts were in alignment with the established expectations.
