In November of 2024 I received a received a resolution offer for my Kohls account which was in collections with ************************ The offer was for 4 payments of $227.66 starting November ******* and final payment on February *******. I agreed to this offer. Beyond Finance charges a 25% fee per each settlement agreement. The total amount for this agreement was $1,538.89, which included their 25% fee of $618.25. In March of 2025 this account was recalled by the original creditor and nobody from Beyond Finance contacted me to tell me this happened. I logged into my account to look for this completed settlement and didnt see it. Instead I saw the ***** account back in my enrolled debt. Therefore, this settlement agreement did not come to fruition yet Beyond Finance wants to keep the $618.25 I paid for this agreement that actually wasnt settled. I dont want that money put back into my Behind Finance account I want a refund to my bank account, as I am owed that money. They were very deceptive in not telling me this agreement was recalled. The statement Ive attached shows the debuts to Avant but I cannot decipher which settlement fees are applied to which account but I paid them $618.25 in a program settlement fee for the account with Avant.Business Response

Since *** filed my complaint to the BBB I have reached out to Beyond Finance many many times and made several attempts to speak to a manager. Ive spoken with several agents and each agent gives me the same response. They are all reading from the same script and each agent has told me that a manager will contact me within ***** hours and as of today from the date of my complaint with BBB I am still awaiting a call from a manager at Beyond Finance. All I want is my money back for a settlement fee that wasnt settled. I dont want the money put back into my Beyond Finance account I want it put back in my bank account. Ive made my deposits to them consistently and Ive been in the program for a year and a half. I think it was very deceiving that I wasnt made aware that the status of that particular account changed and that they kept the settlement fee for that resolution that was not resolved.Business Response

I signed up with Beyond Finance and May 2024 I gave them three creditor accounts in which they only resolved one. I withdrew from the programand took my other two creditors and have handled them myself. I do not advise anyone to use this company they will verbally tell you Everything will be good. Yes, your credit score will go to an all-time low. I have always worked to get my credit score almost in 800s only to find out and not be told my other two accounts was not being paid. And went to collections, and now have chariots on my credit and one turned over to a lawyer. Which is NEVER explained) I was devastated)& yes maybe in 100 pages that they send you, but who reads all of that. I am one where I like to talk to a person verbally and when I have spent numerous days over 20 hours on the phone be very misled about this whole program. I paid them nine payments of $469.28 which is & $4223.52 on they paid my one creditor $3867.00 I feel they have been paid for the small amount of work they done. So my resolution with my one creditor was completed and resolved. so I feel they have made a couple hundred dollars off of me and they are still trying to tell me that I owe them $1700. They dont call you back when you do call in, like I said its very very very ************* NOT USE this company I have done the legwork for them and resolving my resolutions with my other two creditors and yet they are still refusing to takeaway their fees to Keep customer satisfaction, number one! They have hidden fees that is NEVER EXPLAINED. All I have asked for is to keep the money that was extra paid to them, over the nine months taken directly out of my account and to close everything up and put my balance at zero. I am not asking for any refund from them. I want my account with them put it zero as my creditor has been paid in full that they took care of. I am not satisfied with their response. If they will go back through their conversations with me and their employees, time after time and also see that very early in the program I tried to close the whole account out, and I was told multiple times by their employees rest assured it will all be ok and yes I understand I signed for them to handle my accounts and trusted them. But after learning how bad they was miscommunicating with me about me 3 accounts I had given them and also about the whole program and their lack of responding when ask for a manger to call me back which took forever , multiple times, and also to only find out one of my three accounts had never even been settled with them. And the other was turned over to collections. It is very very much lack of communication and false advertisement, and to save my credit Yes I did drop my last two accounts with them and have since then done all the leg work they was to do and have worked hard on getting my credit score back up by 150 points in a short period of time. They only handled one of my accounts and only saved me alittle bit of money and are trying to charge me . For what they 20+ hours I have into phone calls with them of my time and my time of handling my last two credited that they never handled. Id say thats bad customer service and my account should be zero and I dont owe them nothing. I paid them $469 for 9 months.Business Response

This is the biggest scam company out there. Your credit score never recovers like they say. You pay hidden fees that basically accumulate to your entire debt. I wrapped up my program this week and made an early final payment and was assured that i wouldnt be debited now that i have the required funds. I logged on to my app today to find out I am indeed being debited. They told me the only thing i can do is call my bank to cancel it. My bank charges a 35 dollar stop payment fee. This company is thee worst to deal with. They use a third party to hide all their fees and do everything they can to avoid showing you how much you spent in the program. Legal action will most likely be required due to their deceptive buisness practices. Im contacting my local state rep to see what can be dont.Business Response

Ongoing issues since enrollment, but *** been trying to cancel the program since December 2024. I paid over $4,000 to Beyond Finance, and only $40 went to an actual creditor. They promised to help resolve my debt and support me through the process, but failed to deliver.When I was told they couldnt take on all my creditors because some companies wouldnt negotiate with them, I said I no longer wanted to proceed. Multiple **** confirmed the same issue. I expressed my desire to handle the debt myself, but they refused to cancel, claiming someone else might get a different result. That was not true, and I had no confidence left in their service.They failed to document our cancellation conversation, continued to call and harass me even after I issued a stop payment on my bank account, and ignored my clear requests to terminate the contract. When I spoke with another *** in April 2025, they blamed me for the outcome and said it was fair they take 25% of my total debtnot the negotiated amountbecause they work hard to settle accounts. No resolution was offered.They also refused to give me contact info for the creditor so I could resolve the debt myself. This level of non-transparency, gaslighting, and financial exploitation is unethical and predatory.I am requesting a full refund of all fees minus the $40 paid to the creditor, official termination of my account, and no further contact. I also ask that any records suggesting I owe Beyond Finance be removed, as I have made ***eated and clear efforts to cancel since December 2024.Beyond Finance should be held accountable for misleading business practices and for making it nearly impossible for clients to exit the program even after they express dissatisfaction and request to do so.Business Response

This compliant is to make other consumers who may be considering using this company aware of the negative experience I encountered. Beyond Finance is about collecting fees for their services. They took my debt that was the highest amount and used money from my dedicated account to pay it off. I was so excited; however, the fee for this settlement was over $4000. They did not deduct their fees when I first got in the program like they said they would. They left the smaller bills idle and started taking all the money I was putting in the program for fees. They only did this large debt first so they could get the highest amount in fees. When I realized what had happened they had taken over $2000 in fees. In the mean time one of the creditors I owed turned me over to an attorney, I called Beyond they assured me they would contact the attorney. My financial situation deteriorated due to my work hours being reduced, so I told beyond I could not put the full amount of money in my dedicated account and could they start applying the funds in my account to the attorney and not toward fees. Oh yes they assured me. The final offer from the attorney came. Beyond continued taking their fees at this critical time (fees were supposed to be taken starting in 2022 when I started the program) the account had $0 and they asked me to give them $1900 in addition funds to work with the attorney. I finally had to accept the fact that Beyond was prioritizing their fees and they were not interested in helping me. So after listening to several of their inflated pitches. I canceled the program because they were going to continue taking all my money until their fees were satisfied and have me put in additional money which I dont have for the creditors. By the way, their fees would have been $7000 for settling all my debts. The larger loan they settled saved me $8000. So now I will negotiate my own debt.Business Response

I signed my contract while in my vehicle parked. The amount listed on the contract was never taken out of my account but a lower amount. If the amount listed on the contract had been deducted; it would not have been necessary for you to start taking your fees from the account and leave my creditors unpaid for several more years until your fees were satisfied.
If you go back and listen to my conversations on your so called recorded line you will see that every person I spoke to gave me inconsistent information. No need to respond to this message. You think you did a terrific job handling my creditors, so therefore, nothing I say will impact that. Based on the number of complaints you have with the BBB, you are doing a terrific job!

This is a debit consolidation company. One of our accounts went into legal status. Beyond failed to make 2 payments and did NOT notify us as the customer. The account fell into late status and garnishment started on our checks. Beyond still had not notified us of payments missing. All debits from Beyond were completed every 2 weeks. Now, the account provider will not reinstate agreement and is requesting full amount. This is all due to Beyond not making these payments as agreed. Why they do not have a notification system in place to notify customers when there is an issue and you have made every debit to them!! Beyond will not take responsibility for this and now we are expected to pay $15,000!! They are very bad at communicating with their customers and do not work well for the customers benefit!!Business Response

I received an offer in the mail for debt consolidation loan at a rate as low as 5% based on prequalification. I contacted the company to explore this offer. I had very good credit, I had a good income, and I stated that I was interested specifically in the offer to lower my monthly payment at a lower interest rate. They took my information, ran my credit, and presented me with a set payment amount ($902-that later doubled to $1804) and said that could be paid off in 2-4 yrs. When I asked about impact to my credit, the *** said it "could" have a neg impact for about 6 mos but resolves quickly if I made my payments to them on time. She told me (and coached me ongoing) to stop talking to creditors. She directed me quickly through the extensive contract, calling out select areas and giving selected high-level explanations of each page - later to find out she was not explaining or calling out very significant financial obligations and practices verbally. In the scanning of the multiple-page contract, she implied that she had already verbally explained and covered all the relevant details and obligations and the contract was a lot of required legal-ease. What I have learned since 8/2024 is that this company charges 25% of the original debt amount on each debt, they collect that up front and before paying all the creditors - causing extended resolution of all debts, more than the quoted 6 mos impact to the credit ***ort, and extending participation in their program. My financial situation since 8/2024: $16600 total paid to date, $8744 paid to creditors, $7888 paid in fees to Beyond. This is only for 2/4 of my creditors, and my credit score went from 750+ to 630 over 8 mos. This is predatory; they mis***resent how they work, 25% on original debt amount (not resolved), and now I cannot even take out a home equity to get out of this situation because my credit score dropped so badly. They do not advertise or explain the program accurately or in good faith.Business Response

I joined the Beyond program to help with debts in November 2022. I just recently withdrew from the program because I feel like *** paid so much money to this program and only one card has been paid off. They took the remaining money out of my dedicated savings account and said thats what I owed for some fees. *** paid almost $5,000 to this company and only one card of $755 was paid off.Business Response
