      I have cancelled my subscription and they keep a charging my account. I have call to let them I cancelled back 2022 and they just charged my account June 2023. This is the second time this year they did it. I dont even go on the website. On my account I dont have a credit/debit card saved but for some reason they are still charging my bank account. Pictures show when it was cancelled and when it was charged again. But with no current open subscription.

Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email for any orders placed on the site.

      We can confirm that two Instant Checkmate accounts were located with ********************* phone number. Account number ********* was canceled on July 27, 2022, and no further charges have been incurred with this account. Account number *********, created on February 5, 2022, has an active Unlimited Phone Report Membership that was purchased on March 9, 2023.

      We have cancelled all memberships associated with account number *********, refunded the account back to the payment option used to enroll, and reversed the pending charge. No further charges will be incurred. Additionally, we have disabled this account for further use.       I have reached out to company in two separate occasions to remove my information off their website as I am survivor of abusive relationships my information online is very dangerous. I received response that my information will be removed when I informed them it was in fact not they stopped responding this is my last effort before I hire attorney and seek legal action

      I have been emailing Instant Checkmate for over a month now trying to get them to remove my address & my personal information from their website. On June 14th, ***** from instant Checkmate said that they removed my information from their website. It never was taken down so I followed up 1 week ago again. ******* responded that they removed my information. But it is STILL listed on instant checkmate. This feels like a complete invasion of privacy! Please remove my ****** address from Instant Checkmate's website!

      We appreciate Mr. ********** for bringing the SiteJabber review to our attention. The review referenced in his complaint was not left on the Instant Checkmate website but on one operated by SiteJabber, a third party, as shown by the sitejabber.com domain listed at the top of the screenshot provided. SiteJabber is a reputation management platform that allows customers of various businesses to leave honest feedback online.

      Instant Checkmate does not and has never promoted criminal activity such as stalking. Additionally, the Instant Checkmate Terms of Use, Section 8 Restrictions" states in part that:

      Please read this persons review and consider contacting law enforcement. Your company should never support the work of criminals and certainly NOT allow such promotional content on your website, even within customer reviews. It seems your company makes a good habit of responding to ALL reviews, especially within the timing of this review. It is ILLEGAL to knowingly support or promote criminal activity. Even if there is a loophole that somehow make these kinds of reviews legal, please show some human decency. This reviewer is a self-proclaimed stalker and is promoting your service to further his stalking behavior. Fact: Stalking is illegal. Fact: The target of a stalker is a victim. Fact: The victim is the person who is HARMED by the criminal. Fact: Your companys website is promoting use of your product to stalkers / criminals TO HARM VICTIMS. In your ****, your company maintains the right to remove customer comments left in public review from its website. Please exercise this right regarding this particular comment AND please scrub thru past comments and develop tighter screening and removal for the future.This advice is offered with all sincerity, not to point and publicly shame your company.       I performed a background check on myself around January 31st of this year and paid a 1 time charge. This company fraudulently added reoccurring payments to my cred card. I called them to stop charging my card. They said they would. I got a new credit card and the company kept charging my new credit card. Their recurring payments practices are fraudulent and I want them to STOP charging my credit card! I already went to my bank to get them blocked, but people need to know what this business is doing.

      It has come to my attention that organizations that receive a commission from the ***** Governor are using 3rd party background checks for applicants. This is not proper background check and therefore disqualifying applicants that have a clean record that was properly expunged, and being discriminated against with false information. These organizations need to be required to perform proper TCIC, NCIC checks, and get rid of incorrect information on their sites. People still use these sites not knowing the difference between a proper accretited background service. Below is a few of the company names, along with the disclamer.       We have located their account activated with the email address ************************ instead of ************************ and using their PayPal account.

      In order to access the services and obtain a report, they must first log into your account by going to instantcheckmate.com/login. Their username will be the email address used to create their membership, and the password is the one they entered upon creating their account. If they do not recall their password, please click the Forgot My Password link on the login page or contact us so that we may reset their password manually.

      The business is Instant Checkmate Inc. They have made multiple withdrawals from my husband's PayPal account without permission. We signed up for their service and then cancelled almost immediately because the one report we tried to obtain did not provide even the information we were already aware of for the individual we researched, in fact it provided us only information for a completely different person. They have my personal email listed as an account but somehow used my husband's PayPal account which is under his personal email. I have an initial email of an account created, a second email the same day from them for a first month's confirmed payment, an email password reset from 16 days later when we canceled, and then nothing until the email I got yesterday confirming the cancellation because we found out and contacted PayPal, our bank, and Instant Checkmate. They never emailed invoices, receipts, any type of "account info", or even marketing material after we canceled for any sort of account. Instead they just kept submitting invoices to PayPal. It's like they wanted to remain as unseen as possible while still accessing our funds. Even though their response to another complaint I reviewed on BBB said "Customers are sent a confirmation email for any orders placed on the site." My husband never uses his PayPal account and only uses his personal email for the purpose of his Apple ID, so we were completely unaware. They've made a total of 20 different unauthorized withdrawals!

      We can confirm that there has been a dispute regarding the charges associated with the account in question, resulting in a chargeback. According to our records, it appears that the account is currently in dispute with their financial institution. In this case, we recommend that they reach out to their financial institution directly to address any concerns they may have regarding a refund. 

      We are also able to verify that the membership has been cancelled and disabled, and there will be no additional charges applied. Additionally, as a result of the dispute, this account will be inaccessible going forward.
