I just received from life lock an alert saying that personal information like passwords are in the dark web. the information that is in the dark web is related/due to instantcheckmate.com company.This company, instantcheckmate.com, is the one that offers to send you alerts, saying if your personal information is in the dark web.So, it does not make any sense to have a company to check the dark web, when in the dark web is my personal information like passwords thanks to the mis-handlling of the information by instantcheckmate.com. instantcheckmate is a bad company, and that is the reason of the bad reviews. 2 15 2023 also, I sent an email to them, asking them to delete any information that they have about me, in their company, and I received immediately an email back, saying that they answer the emails within 10 days!!!! ridicules delays! also they do not have 24 hours customer service. also they have only customer service in the ** side time.

This search site is absolutely terrible!! I have looked up my background many times in the past with no problems. My info came up, but Instant Checkmate came back with absolutely no information except for a couple of social media profiles I have had. No arrest records no employment history no housing history everything said there was no information to be found. I work for state agency where you can literally put my name in and see exactly how much I make every single year you're going to tell me you couldn't find my employment history? I have a misdemeanor on my record according to them I have no record. I tried to call them and tell him how unhappy I was and their customer service was terrible. He was just telling me it's not their fault and no refund will be issued. I've used three other background search sites in the last 10 years and EVERY ONE had the info I wanted. This had NONE! Then I checked my wife and my father's results (came with the month subscription) to see what information they had on them and NOTHING, so it wasn't just me and my info. Both my father and wife have very public information out there that is EASILY accessible...but not Instant Check Mate. I'm telling you you will be sorry if you do search results through them, and you will not get your money back after feeling like you were just robbed and scammed.Instant Checkmate

Giving any stars is ridiculous. Complete scam. Started to get the date of my divorce, and the site said it was free. That day a $1.00 charge hit my credit card. Two days later they charged $19.95. I was willing to let the $1.00 charge go, unwilling to put the time in for $1.00. I did contact them when $19.95 hit my account. After many back and forth emails and finally giving them more information than I thought they needed, another $19.95 hit my credit card. My bank blocked them at that point, but be aware I never signed up for an account with them at all, in fact I never even opened the report, having found the information another way. I never got a credit after giving them the information they requested. I never got an account number and they agreed they couldnt find one. This didnt stop them from charging on multiple occasions. This is an extremely shady company. Steer clear.Instant Checkmate

Today 11/11/2022 Instant Checkmate just tried billing my card again. I have had email contact with 4 different people, one possibly twice. They keep asking for the same or additional information regarding additional emails and pay pal accounts which has no impact on the initial contact. Seriously underwhelming. Not a scam company but definitely kinda misleading. Makes it seem like youll get all this information on someone or yourself, and then all the information is missing. I have a criminal background but none could be found. I just feel that the site could be promising but I feel kinda cheated and I do not recommend due to lacking critical information on basically everyone.Instant Checkmate

I specifically signed up for this to find my military service dates. The InstantCheckmate website list ********************* Records as the main listing on the homepage. After paying for the service I received my report which shows absolutely ZERO military records. I called the company and was told military records are not retrievable by them. When asked why its the first thing on their website I was told that is not true and I should log in to their home page to see. I was already on their homepage but could not convince the gentleman I was talking to that it says that. He kept telling me I was wrong. I asked if he received my payment and was told yes. I informed him I paid through this website so I believe they are falsely advertising a service they knowingly can not provide. He did say he would give me my money back in 3 days which I appreciate but I believe they are misleading people by advertising things they knowingly do not have access to. I guess this is my way to complain which will make no difference in the long run but if people dont complain other people will never know and not receive what hey are truly paying for.Instant Checkmate
