1 starMy first concern that Vetco stole money from me by giving me a $25 off coupon for first time visit and never applying it to the final payments. During the visit the staff let my 12 week old kitten inhale alcohol to make her stop purring. After I told them it may cause respiratory problems, they stopped. Right after the visit my kitten felt very low on energy and looked sick. The next day I noticed she started to lose her voice and acted like something bothers her throat. She was a very energetic and healthy little kitten before the visit. Not only they robbed me but also caused my kitten health issues. I tried calling multiple times day after day at different times and they keep dropping my call. I want a compensation so I can use that money and take her to another more ethical vet. I do not recommend that location to anyone who loves their pets!Review fromNicholas F

1 starIn November of 2022 I signed up for the ********** Premier Subscription and was able to get pretty good value out of it. However, before the year elapsed I changed my settings to NOT auto-renew in November of 2023. I received an email stating that my subscription was canceled and would last until November 2023 and then it would no longer be active. HOWEVER, on November 5, 2023 I was charged for ********** Premier, and customer service states that my account is still active. How is this possible since I got an email confirming that this would not happen? This is a huge issue and no one should sign up for this service. 1 starPetco is the worst company ever. They didnt deliver my cats dry food for 15 days and didnt send me any notifications. when i called the customer service they promised to deliver it next day. and instead of the order i receive the email that it is delayed and no solution whatsover. Please do not use them for deliveries. This is the reason Amazon is taking over all these poor customer service companies.Review fromSam T

1 starI righting this review to you consumers about Petco. I have *********************** fish which they are aggressive fish. There diet is FEEDER goldfish. My fish are about 4 long which they are not able to eat the large FEEDER goldfish. The reason why I am capping Feeder is to make sure you know that fish I need to purchase is not for a pet. The fish is for FEEDING my *********************. I went to Petco which is a walking distance from my house. I walked in to the fish department and asked for 2 dozen small FEEDER goldfish. The employee said I cannot sell these goldfish because they are and less. It is illegal for me to sell them. First question why do you have them in your store and out in display to be sold. So, I walked out and went back home. Got my vehicle and went to PetSmart bought 2 dozen FEEDER goldfish which are smaller than . Please make me understand it is FEEDER goldfish not for a pet. They are going to be dinner for the *********************** fish. That was the first incident. Second incident. It was about a month later. Went back to Petco to buy FEEDER goldfish. I arrived to the store at 7:20PM. Went to the fish department and as usual I waited for an employee to help me purchase FEEDER goldfish. For 45 minutes went by and didnt see anyone. So, I walked to the front to ask for help which I did. Mind you I was there for 45 minutes waiting get some service. So, I asked the employee to help get 2 dozen FEEDER goldfish. There response was sorry sir we are closed. Really, I was there for 45 minutes waiting for help and the employees were nowhere to be found. Until I walked to the front of the store where the cash registers are. I am not looking for freebies just wanted to let you all know about the experience I encountered. So, I called the complaint number to let them know about there customer service. Believe it or not they were the same as there store. 1 starAfter getting dog food delivered for several months, I decided to add some Christmas items to our repeat delivery. During checkout process I selected ship items. Obviously I don't need a new color delivered every month. Apparently **************** said that is what I should have selected because I got charged $7 for shipping even though I have dog food being delivered. **************** couldn't give me a straight answer as to why. Then I found out they cancelled my order. Then tried to offer me a $10 coupon. I said that doesn't help when I need to pay bills. I need that money back in my account. So then the guy decides he will only do a partial refund due to inconvenience. I was left in silence on the phone after 30seconds I hung up. I'm cancelling my repeat dog food delivery and this again is why I don't shop online! Just ruined my entire day.Review fromDorothy G

1 starPurchased dog sweater today. Checked size chart on-line and noticed it was $6.00 cheaper if purchased on line and picked up in store. 1 starHello, It saddens me to write this letter of concern in addressing this issue of ***************** (Golden doddle) groomed on Saturday Dec 2nd at 11am, PetCo Store number ************************************************************************************************************************* a humane manner. I am the only one who can advocate on his behalf of what occurred that day. Attached are pictures, of what happened after ************. Part of the impacts are physical cruelty and the other is psychological behavior he has shown since being groomed at your store location. He not eating and is not leaving my side or my husbands side with fear and insecurity of not wanting to be alone. Displays continous pacing. Below are other items he has displayed since the grooming. Occurred from Petco grooming and groomer Rub ***** on ankle of feet.Nicks and cuts on dog behind ear Shaven down to s****** skin Irritated skin/tender Anxious not eating fear of trusting not wanting to be alone. Traumatized animal cruelty This issue needs to be correct so that this does not happen to another animal by the same groomer at this location or to any other dogs. I had to take my dog to the vet after leaving Petco and getting these so-called services of grooming. I would like to have my payment for services at Petco returned, my bill at the vet clinic and compensation for what my dog has gone through visiting this location. 1 starTHEFT - Petco stole funds from me. I placed an order online for pet toys using a gift card and a credit card for the remaining balance. An hour after the order was placed they cancelled my order with no reason why. I tried to order online again the next day and noticed the gift card balance was $0. I called and was asked to wait for a supervisor for 15 minutes because he did not know what happened to my order. A supervisor was not available so he asked if one could call me back and I said sure, not a problem. I did not get a call back from anyone. Next day, I called customer service again and I could not understand the customer service agent but she was saying things that sounded promising such as "refund in ***** hours". I said ok sounds good! About 8 hours later I received an email from Petco Customer Support saying they were looking into my case and would get back to me. I responded twice and have yet to hear a response. It has been 5 days since she emailed me with no response and 7 days since the initial order. 7 days after the order and no refund or updates - I called customer service again, and on the phone for over 25 minutes - no answers on refunding the gift card. I do not understand why it is taking so long to send me an e-gift-card for $25. This has been ongoing for a week. I've talked to now 4 separate customer service agents with no answers or resolution and they're giving me the run around putting me on hold 4-5 times, telling me to talk to a supervisor, oh another team is working on it. Petco has stolen the $25 gift-card used on the cancelled online order. That is THEFT. This whole ordeal has been absurd for an online order for PET TOYS. Ridiculous!Review fromKathleen M

1 starPETCO doesn't learn from complaints filed against it. WARNING, WARNING- BEWARE OF PETCO GROOMING SERVICE. On-line booking requires customers to select a groomer they prefer. THIS DOES NOT MATTER. If the groomer is unavailable Petco will assign another random groomer to service your dog and Petco DO NOT CONTACT YOU TO TELL YOU OF THE CHANGE. Apparently, according to my local store and Petco corporate, this is corporate policy. I went to my scheduled appointment with a groomer my vet had recommended and who had serviced my old, skittish dog with back and knee problems. My dog and I were comfortable with this groomer and had seen her 3-4 times. Upon arrival, I was told the groomer no longer worked for Petco and my dog had been assigned to a young woman with only 1 year experience grooming. This young woman proceeded to improperly pick-up my dog without reviewing his medical history which I provided (what was the point of my providing it - at Petco's requirement), This is a IRRESPONSIBLE, NEGLIGENT AND REPREHENSIBLE POLICY. It is very simply POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE. Petco personnel, both corporate and local, did not seem to care and just blew my complaints off. In short, Do not take your pet to Petco for grooming if you love and care for him or her. PETCO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET. PETCO'S ONLY CONCERN IS THE ALMIGHTY BUCK. BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!By the way, I requested a copy of the aforementioned corporate policy so I could post it on FB, Instagram, etc. However, it did not sound like I would ever receive it. I also asked numerous times to speak to Petco's CEO, ***********************, but was blocked from doing so. Apparently, ******************** is not willing or afraid to defend Petco corporate policies or entertain a customer's suggestions that a change might be appropriate. What a shame but typical coming from a big corporate executive. Petco gets one star but only because I have no other choice.
