      Learned today that Petco price matches to their own website but only when you ask. Some items are double the price in stores verses online and online advertising says same day free shipping. I am very confused how this is even possible??? For an item to be $50 in store but $20 online is a huge scam!!

      petco has ads all over the internet searches selling Renew Gold for horses at ***** and yet when you click on it to try to make the purchase Petco charges ***** instead. Even if you call customer service they tell you they can't sell it for ***** and they challenge you on where you saw their ad price, when I told them I saved a screen shot of it and can send it to them then they tell you if you create an account with them you will get a discount equal to giving you the ad price. I created that account and the price still showed the higher price and the customer service person said there is nothing they can do except charge me the higher price and later send me a discount in a partial refund. I'm not stupid. No way are they getting me to click Buy Now at that price and trust them to adjust the price later.

      Petco does NOT refund canceled orders or partially delivered orders. I've experienced two instances that required multiple phone calls and chats and still have not been completely resolved, as many others have experienced (per all these negative reviews). This is fraud and theft, and the company should be investigated and fined by the ********** of ******** Protection.

      I had an upcoming appointment scheduled with **************, but it was canceled because she injured her finger (was bitten by a dog). When I called the store to find out more information, I was put on hold for an extended period of time, so I decided to go into the store.Upon arriving, I discovered that although ****** was unable to do grooming services, she was working doing limited services. Why was she working, injured on the job? When I asked if there was anyone else who could take my appointment, I was told that there were no other groomers available. However, I later saw another groomer in the store I asked to speak to ******, but I was put on hold for an extended period of time. When I called back again, I was once again put on hold and ultimately ignored. She also added some type of block to the account so that I would be unable to book an online appointment at any other location. I did not raise my voice, I did not use any profanity, via phone or text when interacting with ****** and the other Petco employees.I am disappointed in the way this situation was handled. This could have been handled by communicating which she avoided. I showed up in person to clear up the issue, not to create any type of scene, and I take offense to that. I have been a loyal paying customer who feels like a group of staff people bullied based on the hurt feelings of an employee who got bit by a dog. And I am the bad guy for not seemingly taking her feelings into consideration.

      I applied for the Petco pay card 2 to 3 weeks ago. I wanted to apply for the Petco Pay card because when I started an order to be shipped I was informed I would get approximately $40 back upon approval. Thanking those $40 credit is on a time restraint. I called Petco to see if I can push my application through. I was told within 24 to 48 hours. I would receive an email, which I never received after waiting the 48 hours I called them back to let them know I never got the email. I was transferred over and over and over again to different people and I was repeatedly told I would receive that email. After many many calls to them and talking to so many people, I finally find out my application was declined.. so because of all this trouble, calling them being transferred to being told the store that my blood was already boiling. Then to be told I was declined even though I have a 790+ credit score, and using only one percent of debt that made my blood boil even more. So I started calling them back again being transferred over and over talking to different people not getting answers of why I was declined.. I called the bank that handles their credit applications, and they could not find me in their computer even though I was told by Petco themselves I was declined!!

      FRAUD!!!!! I bought some fish, and at check out the clerk told me about the ****************** program. She said it was $10 a year. I didnt pay that time, but signed up the next time. I was very surprised to see a monthly charge for $10.59 on my bank statement. I called to cancel and they told me I was in a contract for 12 months and could not cancel. I told them I never signed a contract and they said it was on their website (it was an in store purchase). I have to put a block on the withdrawal, at a cost of $35. This a fraudulent practices.

      Wish I could give zero stars. Signed up puppy for training classes at the Batavia location. Trainer left while I still had over 3/4 of my visits left. The store assured me that they would reschedule my classes with other trainer - other trainer nor store contacted me. Spent four weeks going to the store in person and being told that the manager wasnt there. Went in on days when I was assured manager was there and he either wasnt there or wouldnt speak to me. Called many times and finally had my daughter contact the manager. After over a month of trying to reach this manager, my daughter finally spoke to him and he assured he would speak with corporate to get classes refunded. Had to argue about why training classes were no longer helpful, as puppy continued to grow and we had to get other classes elsewhere while she was still young and training. Its now been months and still no class refunds or even contact from the store.

      Had appointment today for vet clinic, this was made online and confirmed, got to store only to be told no clinic today , next week. Called customer service she said clinic moves never know where they will be and I should make an appointment. Why make appointments if they dont know where clinic will be? Stay away from petco. Worst service

      I returned an item and they havent refunded me. Its been a month and now they are saying theyll no longer help because I threw away the receipt. Its a $40 item that they have and my money. Do not buy from them

      I bought a dog crate on May 04 2023 and it was canceled 2 weeks later, due to shipping issues. I contacted customer service and they apologized for the inconvenience and gave me a 10-dollar reward. I placed an order for a new crate, as it was still in stock online on the same day, May 18th. Again, two weeks rolled around and the crate was canceled. Mind you, the money was held for two weeks both times. Today, June 6th I contacted customer service and they stated the deal was gone but they would honor the price If I paid the full amount and then they would credit my account in 3 days, an ********* difference. I stated this was okay. Well, my mistake I picked the crate up at the wrong store. I was willing to bring the crate back to the store and then drive to the correct store. The correct store canceled the order without talking to me. Now, Petco states the only way to fix this issue is to charge me another 160 plus dollars and then be refunded in 3-5 business days. Thus, Petco would be holding 300 plus dollars out of my account for a crate that was advertised to me as 65 dollars. according to live chat, corporate should be contacting me but I have not heard from them as of typing this out.
