      Has Petco really been in business for over 30 years? Just how. Was suckered into the vital care program at the register. Cashier assured me I could cancel any time and would get a 20% discount on all aquatic products. Neither is true. The fish I bought weren't discounted because apparently that discount doesn't start with the first purchase. Contacted customer care and got a generic you should have read the small print response. Twice. The I looked it up and there's tons of complaints about the false advertising. Wish I would've looked before. The only way to get at least my money back is if I spend $600 on fish related things within the programthis year. I own 7 fish so that's never going to happen. Petco didn't care that the emoyee lied.. I should have caught it on the small print that was only available on the tiny cash register screen. Well if that's the case Petco I'll just stay away from your cash registers permanently.

      Beyond disappointed to see PETCO still housing cats for adoption in plastic cages with zero ventilation.. Now they have birds in tiny cages with food, water and a couple perches - and nothing else..So far, the staff are clueless on animal care, overheard one tell a customer that its OK to give your dog pain meds, without qualifying that comment...Corporate is a group of sales execs - they have ONE exec listed for animal care.. And his background is sales...PETCO needs to revamp their exec suite and start putting animal welfare higher on the priority list..

      I have called customer service 3 times and was told that upper management would call me. I have emailed the district manager for this store 2 times and left 2 phone messages. I have emailed the corporate office regarding the issue that I encountered. NO ONE has contacted me.This company is the absolutely terrible.

      Im giving 1 star only because I cant leave a review otherwise. Management was extremely unfriendly and rude. A smaller dog was given extra attention and my dog was discriminated against because of the breed and color. The management at the ********** store shows favoritism to smaller dogs and are biased. I will never shop there again because of the management. They have been rude more than once ********************

      I have been going to Petco grooming in ********* for years, apparently the managers have changed and they no longer want to cut older dogs. They have no issue taking my money for their monthly vital care charges, then turning my dogs away. The manager Musica was so completely worthless! She did nothing to deescalate the situation, only making it worse and loosing a customer for life.

      I came to Petco for my puppy's vaccination. The doctor tried to "calm down" my dog by solely beating the table, shouting, and suffocating her. I asked the doctor to be gentle, and my dog would be calm then. She refused and blamed me for not letting her complete her job. My dog was too scared and peed 3 times within several minutes. Then the doctor wrote the medical record for my dog, stating that she could not finish her job because I was not cooperating and I was impolite.RIDICULOUS.

      I bought a 40 gallon fish tank and needed to exchange it for a 55 gallon because the 40 gallon didnt fit my stand. I couldnt find the receipt but was told they can look up my transaction by the phone number I gave them. When they did, they couldnt find any transactions so apparently the employee entered my number wrong. All I wanted to do was exchange for a bigger tank and they treated me like I stole it and wouldnt do anything for me! I wasnt asking for any cash, just a bigger tank which means I would have spent more money. This is just really bad business. My case got escalated and I was told to call. I was on hold for a long time only to have a supervisor say sorry without a receipt we cant help you. I will never ever shop Petco again and I will tell everyone I know not to go there.

      I had no idea this was the last time I would ever be in Petco! After more than $50.00 in purchases, the cashier smiled and said If you want a bag, they are 10 cents each, started yesterday. I thought bags were a courtesy. I will NEVER set foot in Petco again! There are entirely to many pet stores (PetSmart, local independent stores) who all sell the exact same products, who value my business and believe in customer service. I will never spend another ***** in your establishment! Go woke, go broke!!!!!!!

      Wish I had read these reviews before ordering online as my experience was equally as horrible. I ordered perscription dog food and got an email saying my order was shipped but when I tried tracking, it was obvious that something was amiss. I called customer service and that's how I found out the warehouse was out of stock (after I was notified the order had shipped but clearly it hadn't.) I asked to talk to a supervisor, was told they were dealing with other customers, I'd get a call back that night. So I called back and the next agent said no supervisors were working (clearly the first agent lied to get me off the phone.) There's more, but in a nutshell: incompetent, uncaring, clueless. Horrible company and customer service - stay away!

      Petco customer service is the worst. After 5 phone calls my issue was not resolved. I was disconnected 3 times and was told someone would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. Six days later I still hadn't heard from anyone so called again and asked for a supervisor. I was disconnected a 3rd time. They charged me double the can price for a case of Blue buffalo tuna entre cat food. How does that make any sense at all. If anything the price should be less not double. I have been a repeat delivery customer for over a year but will no longer bye from Petco!!
