I would give negative stars if I could. I took a 6 my old kitten to *********. The vet tech was pleasant but as it turns out she gave me wrong info. I was sent a voucher for a free first wellness exam. Turns out when you try and use it it costs more for the vaccines etc. in their bundled package using the voucher than in the bundle. I was advised to get the roaming cat package as he was a stray we had just picked up and no idea of his backstory. The tech told me it included the booster shots which he would need in 3 weeks. I asked if it counted as another visit with further fees and she said no. I returned today for the boosters as instructed. After asking if I had their overpriced insurance, which we do not, I was told I had to pay for the visit and the shots which I had specifically asked if they were included. Their bundle I paid for was $239 but apparently I should have paid for the 3 series package at some $400+ and that it was basically my failure to understand what was included. The explanation given at the first visit consisted of being given a laminated board to read and decide what was included. Their prices are extremely high but my usual vet wasnt available at short notice. I was quoted $600 to neuter 6 mth old *** cat. It was $60 for the same procedure at Snip-it. I was left with the that they thought I was trying to scam them as I was told they cant just hand out vaccines that people dont want to pay for. I was also advised all policies come from head office no exceptions. I would advise people yo avoid this company and find a good local independent vet who cares about animals. No one is asking for their services free but they are not transparent in their advertising or price list

******** vets took my dog for ear infection told them she had one last year and the meds worked great. I wanted same meds instead put something in ear that was supposed to be a very strong antibiotic. **** $172.38 money wasted for nothing!! 1 1/2 weeks later her ear was 10 times as bad! Went back to again I said I wanted same med that helped before. Bill $169.60 Finally got one of them the other antibiotic was over $100 Told them I would get it at pharmacy. Pharmacy didnt carry that same one but something similar. Called vet and they would not send script for it. Wanted me to come back again to do more test! Contacted Chewy. Com antibiotic only $59 Vetco is such a ripoff all about the money! Shameful!!

Never take your animal here if you care about getting him well. Paid $200 for labs and was told without then they could not guarantee they could fix a ear infection. Well it still didnt.. I fixed it at home for $2 worth of stuff from ******** All Vetco wants to do is take your money and keep giving perscriptions. Ive been told by someone claiming to be a owner that would look into this but have heard nothing back. The vet at the ***************** store is rude and unprofessional.

Injured our dog, then lied to us! Petco Grooming in ************, ****. I noticed hours after grooming service that our dog had s a slash and clipper marks around a*** and her v***** was red and swollen. I called Petco and asked the ************************, if there was something I put on her ******, because it looks irritated, and noted that ***** had cuts from the groom, and top of her a*** by her v***** The Groomer sincerely apologized, told me to use Neosporin, but if it got worse to take her to the vet, and "Petco will pay for it". We went to the vet, where they explained that the clippers were hot, and burned her as well as cut her. This led her to lick herself which also irritated the area, and she could either have a UTI or ********* stemming from the injury. We had to put her on antibiotics. I contacted the ** at the ***********************************, ****, who told us that Petco will not be reimbursing the vet visit. **** stated that he had spoken to the vet and understood that the injury was not 100% Petco's fault, and could have been due to a preexisting condition. I called **** back, and he explained the same thing, and noted that because hair was removed from the ******, she could started to lick the area and given herself a UTI. I noted that when I dropped ***** off, her V***** was normal, and after I had picked her up, it was red and swollen. **** doubled down stating that to reimburse me, he had to submit a claim, and this would not be covered unless the vet stated that Petco 100% was at fault. I told him the vet had in fact told us this was due to clipper burn, and the cuts from the groom. He told me he did not know who he had spoken to at the ***, but I could call them back and ask them to speak to him again. I called the vet, who stated "WE HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO ANYONE AT PETCO". We are not able to disclose patient information without permission, and if Petco would have called us, we would have contacted you to request a release of information. PETCO LIED TO US!

I signed up for a year of the vital care premier ($229) big mistake, avoid it! Due to technical issues with their app and website, I have been unable to use the promised credits, even after spending hours with on with IT that is clearly outsourced. I do feel bad for the store employees who have tried to help, but they cannot fix IT issues. This is a corporate management issue. Since I am not receiving the benefits promised or get a refund, I have reported it as fraud on my credit card and I will not be shopping there anymore.

On March 7th I took my cat of 14 yrs to the Vet for her eye the other cat had scratched her eye and I took her to Vetco to have it looked at ans they gave her eye drops for it and while there he asked how long had it been ****** had gotten her rabies shot. I said years because ahe never goes out. But then I said ok to it. A couple of days later my cat went into cardiac arrest. The Vet had got done telling me her heart sounded good. Now their telling me she died from heart failure and I don't believe it. My cat was hethy and playing before that shot. I am Suing them for negligence and emotional distress. They sent my cat back in a white box no urn as they were suppose to send my cat back to Final Gift and they were suppose to pay for it since I had spoken to their headquarters and they had agreed to pay for everything since I was raising all kinds of noise. They never got back in touch with the Crematorium to make arrangements with them to have my cat cremated. They never called me either I had to call them. They are horrible do t bring your pets there for treatment. I will spend good money next time on my pet. I am disappointed hurt and disgusted.

Petco ********* is overcharging on ************ Tax. I purchased some dog food that had a sales price of $23.99 (also advertised on the shelf). When I was at the register, my receipt showed that the actual price was $30.49 and I received a discount of $6.50 for being a "member" which brought the subtotal to $23.99 and I was charged $1.44 for tax. By my calculations, I should have only been charged $1.13 on $23.99 (GE *****%). The Supervisor and clerk said they were unable to change the prices in their P.O.S./cash register system but that is wrong. Who programs the register? People! I called corporate number (given to me by the Supervisor and they said that they will file a complaint but they can't do anything either. Tax should be charged based on the actual subtotal of purchased items.
