I was recommended getting this card to help build credit. I paid $200 to get the card. it has been 3 months, the website wont accept my ***** bank acct info and the call center is only open certain times. Now i have 2 late charges of 29 and 41 dollars and have never even had the card active. Not even used the card but some how i owe them another $99. Scam Scam SCAM!!!

      Horrible company

I was approved on 5/5/24 got my card on 5/8/24 went to pay the $95 fee it kept denying my card then locked me out and I got a denial letter in my email bc I attempted too many times to pay the fee. I called 5 times and noone would help me and then couldn’t find my account

They can’t give you credit then take it away from you.

First NO PROGRESS CARD is a SCAM. If you send payment by mail they will always say it is late to charge you additional FEES. Terrible online portal. It will hurt your credit instead of helping it.
USE a well respected card from a bank and you can build your credit. 10 WEEKS to get your money back. Check thousands of reviews with the same comments to verify what I am posting

I call customer service when I canceled with a recurring payment and was recommended to change card number, I was charged anyway and it was over my limit allowing the merchant to charge over the limit fees and additional interest, When I called back it was outsourced to another country explaining what was going on to 4 different people and 2 of which tried to turn the story back to being my fault, grant you I have work as a credit card specialist with the same company for over 7 years doing all these different peoples job as one employee disputes- fraud -customer service, I know federal regulations what you can and cannot do, was on the phone for 2:30 explaining the story 4 or more times to each person. The company is rude, can’t understand English, snotty and thinks that they do not have to follow US regulations

Listen, I’m not just another person who has had a bad experience and complains about it after (although this is true in this case). EVERYTIME I’ve called I had a horrendous experience. The cell phone app is horrible, the customer service is BEYOND horrible, and the website is a dumpster site. Please do yourself a favor and do not, I repeat DO NOT get a credit card with First Progress.

I wish I could rate them lower. They lie about fees over the phone. Lose track of your account. Charge stacks of fees for mistakes they make and never own up to. Everything was fine for months and then they no longer could receive my payments without charging fees for receiving them and delaying them up to 3 weeks (of course charging late fees for that as well). For a credit recovery card they have done more damage to my credit than I could have done if I was trying to.

I had this account for 2 years and when I closed it, they said it would take 10 weeks to receive back my secured deposit even though my bill was always paid on time and the balance was paid in full. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Their website is complicated, always down, not user friendly.

I unfortunately cannot recommend this card in any capacity. I made a payment 3 days prior to the due date and instead of them counting that as paid, they considered it "an additional payment". I was hit with a late charge of $30 despite their app listing my due date for my next payment nearly a month away. Not only did I make this payment over the phone with a representative, but I also took the time to confirm my next payment due date.

Given the very clear course of action I took to ensure that I was up to date on my account and the uncalled for late fees, I would call this nothing short of predatory lending and completely unethical business practice. I'll be canceling this account immediately after paying off the full balance.

Capital one cards are just as easy to apply/ be accepted for, I was not charged a large fee to open an account, and my experience with them so far has been a world away from First Digital. I urge anyone thinking of rebuilding their credit to stay well away from this lender.

First Progress has the worst customer service ever. I was in the middle of the application process (applied, paid fees, etc…) and decided to withdrawal my application. What should have been an easy process was complicated by their service reps who have ZERO customer service skills. If that’s what I’m in for this early on, forget it. Leaving no stars should be an option.
