    I ordered books and was charged for them on on October 16. The books were received. Now on November 18 a charge for $97.00 appears on my credit card. I have not ordered anything more and do not plan on it. I would like a full refund immediately.

    I ordered books and received them paying $38 on Oct 10th.On November 20th I looked at my account on line and found Id been charged for $97. Ive searched everywhere the past 24 hours for a phone number. The two they listed arent answered. *** sent several emails and had no response. They were supposed to respond in 30 minutes. I need that money to complete my Christmas shopping as I am on a fixed income

    Like other complainants, ordered books on October 1, 2022. Then on November 1, 2022, we were charged $97 for an annual digital access subscription we did not sign-up for.

    I ordered three books from PDIC was charged for the books and have received them. However, this week I have a charge of $97.00 charged to my account for an annual subscription to digital library which I did not order or authorize. I was charged 59.40$ for book packet on 10/21. I DECLINED the FREE trial! I received books. NO OTHER EMAILS FROM PDIC came to me regarding any future subscription or charges after any 30 day period. If they did send anything on their end it would have gone to spam yet that is not likely as I received their emails about thanking me for my initial order as well as other sales marketing emails. I never authorized PDIC to ever charge my card. I request immediate credit of 97$ back onto my card, I tried to call. There is no one to talk to as it directs you to website. I sent a message. No reply currently. I wish I went onto the BBB site to read reviews before I ordered but they claim support from BBB? 4 stars on Amazon how does that happen when I read here the enormity of complaints stating the same dirty practices. I will never feel comfort trusting their order process again. Seeing the same complaints over and over you would assume they would FIX any glitch in their web system as they are losing tremendous amount of followers and sales. Refund my 97$ now.

    On October 18, 2022 I purchased 6 books from this company. Today they **** $97 from my account WITHOUT my authorization. No where during the initial checkout process did they say they were going to save my payment information to later on charge me. Apparently my initial order included a free 30 trial to their digital library that I never even added, they automatically did this, and then when the 30 days was up charged me $97 for the annual subscription!! I looked back in my emails and there was never an email saying they would do this. Not good business practice at all and by the looks of these comments its happened multiple times. I want a refund!

    I bought books from PDIC last month. I thought it was strange my husband IMMEDIATELY called me because our credit card company thought it was fraud. I told him no. I never received an itemized receipt in my email for the books, just a thank you email and subsequent emails every day about buying more books. Today, my husband calls me from work again (he is the primary card holder) and says the credit card company is asking again if a purchase from PDIC books was made. I told him no this time because I absolutely did not make another purchase from them again as I did not think the literary quality of the first books was even good. I go to my email, searched for PDIC, go back to see all emails from them. I NEVER received a receipt from my first purchase, but when I go to their website I found that they can find my account I never created using my email or phone number which were required at purchase. Using those, they send a 4 digit code which allows me to look at my account including purchases, which I then found included a receipt for the books I ordered last month AND a 30 day trial which I NEVER ordered was made aware of. It also showed my purchase made today of $97 plus tax for the membership. This is a total scam. I would not have made this mistake and this business is a sham. The credit card gave us a phone number for them for us to find out about the purchase, which surprise, led to a voicemail that does not receive messages and directs you to the website, which also has no phone number. I emailed them and told them I had NOT purchased a membership and they replied that I had. They said they cancelled my membership but then listed all I would lose access to if I did and asked me to reply if I wanted to go ahead and cancel. The email was not clear if they would refund the $97 plus tax money or not as of yet, but it isnt looking likely considering the scam it all is from the start. They need to be put out of business.

They said I received an email showing how to cancel my membership, which I never did. I did receive an email showing that I had access to their online library, but never opened the email until November 17th when I had this problem wit them because I never would have dreamed a company would include a membership without letting me know at checkout. In conclusion, they are still a dishonest online business, but I will absolutely accept a refund for this included membership I certainly do not want, nor was never made aware of. That said, I do not wish this scam to continue as they seem to have been continuing to do for quite a long time now from what I see of other BBB complaints I read.

    I bought a few books from this company. I was careful not to click anything extra while I was going through the purchase process. They offered extras non-stop as I was checking out. I declined the extras. Today I woke up to an email saying I was charged $104.03 for a subscription to this company. I have tried to contact them (which is nearly impossible) and have not had a response. This is shady and tricky. This is a dishonest company.

    This is a dishonest way to trick people into a subscription, to secretly attach the subscription to a purchase without stating that is happening until after the purchase is made, in a separate email. That is very shady. This company sells ********* themed books but they run their business in a very un-********* way by stealing peoples money by tricking them. I asked to return the books I purchased from this company as well, since I never want to read them again because they were bought from a dishonest company claiming to be *********. I cannot read them or *** them in good conscience. They denied my request to return the books I would like to return the books for a full refund. I will pay for shipping. If the honor that request, then I will be satisfied. Shame on this company.

    I want to assure you that our intent is not to add anything to our customers' orders without their knowledge or consent. On the final page before submitting the order, the 30-day free subscription is listed, with details available, along with any items ordered. As I stated in my previous response, only after an order is submitted including the trial subscription, will an email be sent out with details on the subscription with details on how to access it and how to cancel it. At any point during the trial period, a customer may cancel the subscription with no charges assessed.

    In regards to your request to return the books for a refund, our **************** Team denied the request due to the request being made after 30 days from the purchase date. I am willing to make an exception in this case and refund the books. There is no need to return them, you may simply keep them, give them away, or discard them as you wish. 

    I would also like to let you know that we have taken additional steps to make the subscription information even more visible to customers. I hope that this addresses your concerns.
