I purchased 6 childrens books from this company online. I was just notified via Paypal that they charged me an automatic payment for digital material which I never agreed to nor was that even an option! This is a scam! Please do what you need to do to help consumers and shut them down. I know this is happening to tons of people! Below are the payments. Here is the Paypal activity. i never received the previous mentioned email that you stated offered a free trial and ability to cancel. I do receive more offers for more purchases however so I know you have the correct address. Many are having this same complaint. So either this is a scam or you need to make sure the trial/cancel emails are actually going out. It is very convenient for you if they arent so no one has the ability to cancel.within 30 days. I did receive my refund since you received the BBB complaint.

After further research, I believe I can see why you did not receive the emails. When you placed your order with us, you provided ******************* as your email address. I ordered some books from Puppy Dogs and Ice Cream on 10/13/22. I received the books. However, today, 11/13/22, I was charged $102.34! I have no idea what this charge is nor did I sign up for it, let alone authorize it! I NEVER received an email on how to "cancel" my online subscription or even a confirmation of what the charges are for. There was absolutely no communication about this charge whatsoever. I tried contacting the company to be refunded the amount but have not heard back from them. Extremely disappointed by fraudulent behavior form this company!Business Response

My initial order of 3 books for $37.77 was charged to my credit card and paid. A few weeks after receiving the books my credit card was charged $97.00 for unknown reasons! I immediately cancelled the credit card and disputed the charge. They have since disputed my dispute and the old credit card has put the charge back on my account. I have since been told by the BBB.org that they said I signed up for some subscription according them and I was sent an email with instructions on how to cancel it. I did not sign up for any subscription. I receive hundreds of emails ever ************ only personal emails. I consider this case fraud! I would like a refund to my credit card for this unordered charged!Business Response

I purchased the books on 10/9/22 and received them 10/17/22. I wake up this morning to a fraud alert from my bank for $97. Turns out the company auto subscribes customers to their "digital library." This is deceptive practice. I didn't activate a free trial nor was I given an way to opt out and still get my book order. Concerning that a psychologist would align themselves with a business that operates in this manner. Their website also features images saying they have an A+ BBB rating when they absolutely do not (currently rated B as of today).Business Response

However, Today I noticed on my credit card that an additional pending charge from the company for a subscription to their digital library in the amount of $102.82!!! I never ordered a subscription! I ordered 3 children's books from this company in October 22. When they arrived, was surprised. High price and just cheap children's books, nothing special. I had told them when I ordered I would try these but DO NOT WANT ANY ADDITIONAL BOOKS OR SERVICES. They never contacted me again. Today I see where they charged me $97.00 AFTER I TOLD THEM I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING MORE FROM THEM!!! I AM ASKING FOR A FULL REFUND. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS "BUSINESS". I notified the "business" when I made my original purchase that I would NOT purchase any other items and told them not to charge me for anything else. THEY IGNORED ME COMPLETELY and charged my account without any consideration towards me. I would NEVER recommend anyone do business with this company. It was NOT a simple misunderstanding, I was charged intentionally and I do NOT appreciate being taken advantage of.
My credit card did the right thing and refunded my money to my account.
