I tried to purchase some of their books online and I felt misled and tricked more than once. First, they required any purchaser to be "signed up Free" for a subscription to their products. The fine print said that there would be a $97 charge if the subscription was not cancelled within 14 days. This was NOT emphasized (but I caught it and went online and (after an hour wait) eventually got it cancelled (I think). Second, moving toward the checkout process, they showed a whole sequence of books for $5 and I chose three of these to add to my order. When my order was actually made, the books for $7 each and there was no way to remove them. I complained the the customer service person online, and they said that I had purchased the hardcover versions, but the fact is that NOTHING was said about the $5 books being either hard- or softcover. Eventually I deleted the three additional "$5" books from my order.These tricky sleight of hand sorts of behaviors should cause other customers to be very much on the alert.Puppy Dogs & Ice Cream Inc

Buyer Beware!!!! I ordered a set of books, received 2 sets (supposedly I clicked yes to add another to the order, which I did not) and was charged almost double. Then I was autoenrolled in a yearly subscription for $97 + tax. So very frustrating. This is obviously a fraudulent company that is preying on parents that want to help their children with emotional distress and this company just wants to take your money by using covert tactics. Same experience as many below. Charges made for $102.82 for renewal of a subscription that we NEVER made to begin with. Am currently in ongoing dispute with credit card company. For some reason the credit card company is denying our dispute responding that they "had not received any valid proof of cancellation". I just received the phone number of the card's Senior Billing Team Disputes people and will be contacting them. Communicating with the Puppy Dogs people is also very awkward, seems like its some sort of computer generated system and they are not accommodating our request for a refund. Moreover, we feel that we may need to have our credit card company give us a different account number to prevent the "Automatic Renewal" of this charge next February.Puppy Dogs & Ice Cream Inc

Since the free trial expired without a cancellation, you were billed the yearly subscription charge. I would like to clarify that we would love to accommodate your request for a refund, but once the chargeback process is initiated from your end we are unable to submit one. Our preference is always to work things through with our customers rather than have them deal with the chargeback process. Unfortunately, once that process begins, our hands are tied. I also want to assure you that the subscription has been cancelled and there is no danger of you being charged for it again going forward. I believe it is, or at least should be, illegal to charge for a service or product that we did not actively agree to. In effect, what you did was to bury this charge somewhere in the original order and when we did not decline it, or even notice the email in which declination would have been offered, you charged for it. Your statement about not being able to refund the money because it is in dispute with the credit card company sounds like malarkey. I request that the BBB look into your pratice of charging for services that were not actively assented to.Review fromKim P

I ordered 3 books for my granddaughter and I was charged ******. I did not receive anything about a digital trial or anything else but I have been charged. This is so shady and not how a company should do business. I am so disappointed I ordered 3 books for my great grandson...I canceled membership and then they charged me $97. Not only did I not approve this, it makes no sense ??
