I subscribed for a single background check, and after two requests to later cancel the subscription, with confirmation texts confirming it was cancelled, I continue to be charged for the service (while having an unusable, inactivated account). Now the listed phone number only provides an automated attendant that repeats nonsensical options to purchase a medical alert device. Total scam, and now I have to report them for credit card fraud.

I signed up for a reverse phone number report for my disabled son who has disappeared. I paid for a recurring member ship to access the report. After several verify your device emails I still cannot access my account or report. Website is not customer friendly and now question ********************* rating system after reading their reviews here and the A+ rating they gave this scurrilous business.Truthfinder

This site scammed me out of 30$ making me think i was getting a month of unlimited report. They scammed me after with "One person report" for 30$ wtf. Then they say i have to pay 28$ for unlimited reports for a month. Give me my money back!Truthfinder

As a consumer advocate, I feel compelled to warn others about my frustrating experience with Truthfinder. Initially, I was impressed with their easy sign-up process, but my perception quickly changed when I tried to cancel my subscription. It seems Truthfinder has cunningly designed their system to be a trap: easy to enter, but nearly impossible to exit.Firstly, the website becomes strangely uncooperative the moment you need to access your account for cancellation. I found myself locked out of my account after not logging in for a while, which could happen to anyone. However, when I attempted to reset my password, the promised reset email mysteriously never arrived. This is not just a technical glitch but a recurring problem that conveniently blocks access when you need it most.This led me to their customer service line, which, in my opinion, is a strategically placed hurdle. The waiting times are exasperating, and it feels like a deliberate tactic to discourage customers from canceling. Its a ***** contrast to their otherwise efficient system. This approach, while possibly legal, reeks of greed and a blatant disregard for customer rights and satisfaction.A subscription service, by its very nature, should ***** uninterrupted access to its customers, regardless of their intentions to continue or discontinue the service. Holding customers' access hostage as a means to prevent cancellation is not only unethical but also a betrayal of trust.In conclusion, I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of Truthfinder. Their business practices are manipulative, focused more on trapping customers rather than providing a service with integrity. DECEPTIVE approach. How long did I have to spend answering either dummy questions or fake warnings? Ten to fifteen minutes. What a waste of my time! They gave me the age of the individual I was searching for, which I'm sure was correct IF THAT PERSON HADN'T DIED 22 YEARS AGO!!Do I want to pay for further inaccurate information??? Horrible!They have different memberships that get confusing. I thought I had cancelled my membership only to find that a second one was going and I got charged nearly $30 for the second one. I looked it up and see the first one sent a cancellation email so I was shocked when I was charged. Just had a very terse conversation with the customer service person and they insisted I had 2 memberships going and since I cancelled yesterday AFTER the membership got charged it was my fault. I insisted on a refund and said I would file a dispute with my bank, Paypal and my state attorney general's office if they did not refund me. They went ahead and refunded me. NOT okay to rip people off like this. 2 memberships? Ridiculous. Purposely confusing people and trying to get money any way they can. NOT OKAY!!!!! Ironically they are scammers giving you information on scammers. Make sure if you have memberships you have everything cancelled or they WILL charge you and BLAME YOU!!!!!!Truthfinder
