On November 1st, I booked an appointment on StyleSeat with a stylist who never confirmed my appointment. On the day before my appointment which is 11/03/22 I called to confirm the appointment and thats when I was told by the stylist that her StyleSeat app is not working and that she cant get the money or access her account to cancel the appointment. So, I needed to contact StyleSeat which I did multiple times. Not only do they not have a customer service number but no one to contact anyone. On the day of my appointment, I noticed I was charged $300 for nothing in addition to booking fees. So I will like to have all my money refunded back . I dont understand how a company runs without a customer service number or agents to assist people when needed.Business Response

I made an appointment to have my hair retwisted on October 3,2023 with **************, the amount would be $96. The instructions were for me to send an email with the hair length and her number was also listed so I sent the email and texted her asking about the address. In total I called her around 15 times up until the time of the appointment. The phone number never rang and went straight to voicemail. Her mailbox was also full. I sent numerous emails to StyleSeat explaining the situation and the responded that the stylist claimed I did not show up for the appointment and therefore I have to pay the entire cost of the appointment. I think this was very unprofessional on the part of the stylist and I also felt disregarded by StyleSeat as a customer and felt there was no other recourse but to bring this to the BBB.Business Response

I am a stylist with StyleSeat. I drive 34 mins to my client last night and serviced her for 2 hours. She then paid $160 from her card on to StyleSeat. When I got in my truck to deposit the funds it said my deposit was only for $14. Here it a next day and they have yet to give me my money I worked hard for. You submit a support ticket and they respond weeks later! I want my money that I worked hard for NOW!! Its really discouraging as an artist to stay loyal to a platform that doesnt even have the decency to have a **** customer service number for the professional especially when your playing games with people money!!Business Response

At the time this appointment was booked, there was a temporary authorization on your card for a slightly higher amount than your estimated appointment total. The small difference accounted for any changes in the final price of your appointment due to tip, added services, and pricing changes. This was done to ensure that there were sufficient funds for the appointment. It is very heard to reach a customer service rep at ******************. Yes, I have been in contact with someone but following up takes 2 to 3 weeks. I am a professional with StyleSeat. The company has ridiculously crazy marketing schemes as far as even if I can prove I found my own client and gave them my link to book they still charge me and say that person already had an account so they take a percentage of my pay. They also wont let me update my bank card to pay my subscription fee saying that the billing address is not correct. Ive emailed them for 2 weeks about this with no return email, they stopped my clients from being able to book and therefore have cost me so much money. This company is a SCAM!Business Response

Booked two haircuts on StyleSeat on 10/09/2022. Paid booking fees. Reached out to 1st ****** because I needed to get more information about a service I selected. I received zero response. Additionally, when time neared for the appointment, I received no information about location to the actual physical site. I tried calling, texting, and emailing. Because I had a concern for safety and sensed fraudulent activity, I cancelled the appointment. I need a refund for the booking and cancellation fee.The second appointment I booked did not have a physical location. I called and texted at the appointment time and supposed location. This app is not allowing me to get deposits at my bank. I keep getting an error message for the same account I used before. *** actually tried adding two different accounts. I still keep seeing that I need to update my bank info. I dont know what other way Im supposed to get my money after doing a service so I cant even use this app anymore and customers want to book. StyleSeat debited funds from my debit card which should not be in their records. I have only authorized them to utilize my credit card for payment. Not only did they use an unauthorized form of payment which is fraud they did charge my credit card for the same payment twice. In total a 50 haircut for my son is $146 dollars that I now have to sit and dispute. They dont offer any way to contact them on their app to remove all of information from their systems. I have messaged StyleSeat numerous times over the past couple of days over different platforms, just for me to never receive a response. StyleSeat processed the charge as if I received the services and I begged them to cancel the pending charge before it went through. Now I am out of almost 200 dollars. Someone needs to not only remove scammers from using certain platforms when handling money. But this app also needs to close as it does not protect its consumers. RidiculousBusiness Response
