Stylist Via House of Braids/Bebe House of Braids(she changed business name)Amount $381.10 charged 5/31/22.Styleseat has been made aware of the issue and they are telling my bank when I disputed the charge with Citibank that I did not dispute the charge with Styleseat within 5 days there is nothing they can do. I went straight to my bank with the dispute because Styleseat on their webpage tells you to contact the merchant to resolve your issue and they do not process refunds. I tried reaching out to the stylist she blocked all communication with me which is why I went to my bank. So then I did reach out to Styleseat and they have all info of how I never booked anything with them directly on their app. The stylist did. My only communications with the stylist were through text to set the appt and cancel. The stylist had advance notice to the cancelation and told me she couldn't do refunds only a store credit which was a lie. Styleseat has all info that I canceled with the stylist direct and she went on to charge me anyway providing NO service. I canceled because I had to have spine surgery I want my $381.10 back this stylist did absolutely nothing and with stylseat telling my bank I did not cancel when in fact I did and have the text messages to show it They need to do better by consumers. I will never use this app ever just for the problems it caused. Now the stylist booking an appt for me and not canceling when they were already informed weeks in advance I want my money back or give my bank accurate information so they can credit me. It says if you cancel more than 24 hours you shouldn't be charged and this should have never posted to my account now you are holding my money hostage! Bad business practices and fraud. This is not the first incidence with this stylist I read complaints before. she removed her info from the website she probably operates under a new name! She has made several invoices/charges and this last one from May needs refunding too!! not valid!Business Response

I was scammed on StyleSeat. There is an account by the name of ***************************** who is actively scamming on StyleSeat. I have reached out to StyleSeat directly to advise them of this fraudulent user and I am still waiting to hear back. And this scammed has changed their location of their business multiple times in the last ******************************************************* multiple cities! This is unacceptable. I paid the scammer a $45 deposit via CashApp which CashApp is refusing to refund. I don't expect ******* to refund me because they are not the ones who mislead me. StyleSeat allowed this scammer to become "identity verified" on their platform, but no criminal would put their identity on platform where they will be preforming fraudulent activity. I would press charges against this user if they were real, but they are not. StyleSeat was negligent in allowing this fraud pass their identity verification. The user also posted fake reviews to further mislead people. How a user can write their own reviews is a recipe for disaster. This negligence has allowed me, and many other to be scammed on their platform and StyleSeat needs to be held accountable. I want this scammer banned off StyleSeat, I want my $45 refund, and I want confirmation that StyleSeat properly took the steps to verify this users identity. If all three of these things cannot be provided to me, I will be happy to file a class action lawsuit against StyleSeat. For negligence and causing its customers to be contiguously mislead. Extremely dissatisfied with this platform. This is the third time I have had issues revolving around either being double charged after my stylist insist I pay via cash app or cash, or being charged a fee and the stylist not seeing the payment posted, then refusing service, which is EMBARRASSING. I originally had an appointment booked for August 29th, because August 30th is my birthday. Two days before I received a call from my stylist saying that she would need to cancel my appointment because she had jury duty. I received a notification the day before the appointment reminding me so to be sure I reached out to confirm the appointment was canceled. She explained style seat penalizes for cancellations and she wanted me to process the cancellation myself. Which is fatally fine, and I understand. When trying to cancel the appointment it would not process because there was less than 24 hours left before the appointment. I reached via text and she explained that we could reschedule for another time. I rebooked an appointment with her and was immediately charged for the full service. After taking my hair down I get to her location and she says a payment was never received and I would have to double pay. We both tried for at least 30 minutes to get in contact with style seat or find a relevant FAQ and nothing. A N Y site that is accepting and delivering form of payment should NOT be authorized if there is not a way to get in contact. This app is only worth of booking, not payment. I will NEVER use this service again.Business Response

I booked for starter locs. Came in the Tuesday before my appointment to speak with the stylist. I informed her a previous stylist worked on my sons hair and it was not done right. She told me to send a picture of my sons hair and the style he wanted. I did send her pictures the next day. Never received a response. I show up to my appointment on time. Speak to her about my sons hair. What we want, scalp condition. She says nothing about his hair. I leave to run errands and notice the appointment was changed from starter locs $140 to a different service for $240+. Destiny begins to yell and be confrontational and hangs up on me. She changed my appointment day of and charged more $250. SCAM bait and switch. She then threatened me calling me names, saying I had to pay her through ***** only she wouldnt accept payment through the app. She threatened to call the cops and say I robbed her. I paid her through Zelle she wouldnt provide a receipt through StyleSeat. I tried reporting to Styleseat that she was a no show. She showed up late, charged me more, threatened me, had me pay outside the app. At the end of this she marked the appointment as a now show and is trying to charge me $70. I need styleseat to immediately remove this charge and delete my account. The stylist on here are lying about their location, lying about their services and charging more.Business Response

An appointment was made with my account that I was unaware of. The appointment was booked with ************** In ********, ** on March 24,2022 at 1:15pm-3:00pm. The appointment was made at 1:07pm. I know it wasnt me because Im working during the week. Luckily, I was not charged $115.00 because I keep my card locked at all times. Im not sure if the stylist is making fraudulent appointments but someone needs to look into this so that it doesnt happen to someone else.Business Response

I booked an appointment through styleseat and was discussing with the professional over instagram as well to get my hair done. She gave me a specific time and styleseat sent the address and said the charge would be pending until after my appointment. At the time she told me, I go to the address only to find out its an apartment building. I wasnt given which flat number to buzz in for. I called the professional on instagram multiple times and kept messaging until well after an hour had passed and got no response. Styleseat still charged me for the service although the professional never rendered the service in the first place.Business Response

I was scammed by a fake post advertising a hair service. I paid them a separate down payment that I cant get back. But, on top of that, style seat gave the scammer $20 more because I cancelled when I saw that the address was fake. They will not refund the money. There are reviews from customers on the ad saying that they were scammed by this person, and style seat continues to leave the ad running. After making good money that day, the scammer wrote a fake review saying that their hair looked great. Style seat needs to refund my money, and look into it, and disable the post with customer reviews explaining how they were scammed like me, right on the fake ad.
