On 10/13 i sent $154.20 to my bank account, this amount was never received! I went back to check and it had been marked as an instant transfer and took the amount down to $152. So I was charged, falsely put instant payout and I still havent received it and here we are 12 days later!!!!!!!! I have emailed them twice!!!! Once I finally got a response you want to know what the email said?! We got your response do you still need help?! Like are you kidding me!!!! No response to my actual claim, no money, and no solution. **************** is horrible, the site in a whole is horrible!!! StyleSeat used to be great now all theyre interested in is making money off of you! I want my money and I want it now!!!! I swear I will never use this website again, I have issues on top of issues with them for the past few years and its not improving. Im sick of it!! I booked a hair appointment through the app styleseats. I met a young lady by the name of **** ******** on there platform she instructs you roo pay through cash app a deposit of 20 dollars to get your hair done. I did that. She also asked for an additional 20 cause she was having difficulties. I sent the money vis cash app then was blocked by the stylist. Date of Appointment with a stylist on Styleseat: 9/27/24 The stylist Blu from Blu's Elegant Styles in *********, ** took photos of me with the intention of posting them without my consent. I messaged her through her listing on Styleseat to take them down, her response was to terminate the messaging feature, and subsequently she actually posted even more photos that I did not know she took of me. I emailed Styleseat support for assistance, got a reply several days later from someone named ****, who requested a screenshot of the photos of me that were posted, so that she could "assist with removing it." I have not heard back from her, and my photos are still up.Business Response

I booked 3 services with a stylist. At 12:17a the day of the appointment the stylist asked could she do the service in the morning or evening. I tried to work with the stylist who then told me of her mother’s illness and made excuses of why she could not do the service. Because I had booked a travel service I even asked to **** to the salon and the stylist declined. I asked for a refund of the deposit and cancellation of the service, stylist never responded and did not show. Styleseat does not have a live customer service or anything in place to deal with scamming stylists.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I am not accepting of the findings in that the stylist did not show up for an appointment. Style seat has a policy listed that informs that if a stylist does not show up or provide a service it is refunded. Style seat is not honoring of its own policy and people should not use a booking service that does not honor its own policy and does not have consumer protection. Legal action sounds like the only step to take.

I used this company to book an hair appointment. The appointment was on 9/29/2014. The stylist Lala was rough on my head I am still suffering migraines from how tight the rubber bands were. Also in my **** to go home I noticed my hair was already unraveling. By day 2 all of the twists were unraveled. Date of Transition August 28,2024.
for a full Sew-In with ****** ******** ** ********** ******* ** *****. I found this professional listed on the StyleSeat website. On 8/28/24 the professional was very late for this appointment. This apointment was for a full hair sew-in which she did not complete. The top and the sides of my hair were very thin so ask her to sew-in more hair since there was plenty hair left. She reluctantly put two small pieces. After sitting for over 5 hours stiff and in pain due to a knee deformity. I left but paid her. Seversl days later I noticed the sew-in was not properly done numerous sections of my hair and scalp were showing. So I texted the stylist above and ask to return for the additional hair to be inserted. She replied three days later references she would but did not. I have sent 10 texts to *** ******** to no avail. *** ******** sent a text on September 15, stating she asked StyleSeat to refund me my $220.00 back they did not. when I made contact StyleSeat they basically said they are not responsible for the professional conduct and referred me back to the stylist for a refund.Business Response

It was scam. Got there to the hair appointment on time and they said the were coming from the hair store - I will be there in a min- 10 minutes after I text whim the app. She asked for my number to call never called - said they would come in a red car- was sitting by the gate entrance to the apt complex for 45 min no red car came in stoped communication after 30 min I asked where their appt was she said in the back. I drove around back no one was there. Waited 20 more minutes- then all communication ceased when the went to their phone, marked that I was there and got paid. Services were $30 for style and 80 dollars for retwist They added a 90 dollar tip too. never got my hair done. I reached out before I left to file a complaint. Gave her a bad review. Style seat reached out to her and she lied and said this—via the StyleSeat email sent asking her for feedback “— I did in fact meet with her she was very rude when she came into my office talking loud and rude and about what she wanted and did not want to let me wash her hair for service because she did not want ***** ******* in same room that is why she kept texting and talking crazy I just paid out service for inconvenience and rudeness because I had other clients “. On Saturday August 10th 3024, I booked an appointment for 3pm with a stylist named **** through StyleSeat. The cost was $250 for an ash honey blond hair color, layered cut and deep conditioning treatment. Styleseat required an appointment hold fee on your credit card. The stylist requested full payment while I was under the hair dryer. She had an automatic gratuity of 20% which would have been $50. At no point was this stated prior to me booking. She proceeds to color my hair a hideous reddish orange color totally not what I asked for. She is yanking my hair and her product is being applied directly to my scalp and its burning extremely bad. I advise her that *** never had a stylist color my hair without foil or apply chemicals directly to my scalp. She was rude and unprofessional. She told me to leave the product on and I told her this is not my first time having my hair dyed. This lady proceeds to styling my hair with plastic gloves on which was weird and tells me that this is the color she styles her eyebrows with. I woke up the next morning to GREEN roots. She goes into HER styleseat account and charged me $250.00 as I told her I was not aware of the automatic 20% tip. I advised her and Styleseat that this was theft as I never authorized her to charge my card and the style she did was not as promised or booked. Ive since filed a dispute with my bank and contacted the states cosmetology licensing board to have an investigation done. I want my money back as I had to pay another stylist the next day to cover the green and style my hair. Dont use this website. They are scammers through and through!! Once you enter your credit card number, its over. They charge what they want and do what they want. A class action lawsuit is necessary as I see this is happening to countless other people.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:First of all I fault Styleseat for negligence by allowing stylist to charge clients cards used on their website to secure an appointment. The terms are not made clear concerning stylist tip request, refund policy , ability to draft clients card until AFTER a credit card number is entered. This is considered fraud, misrepresentation and theft. Your response pertaining to stylist being willing to fix issues is a flat out lie as proven by the numerous victims posting here and on this scammers 3 Yelp profiles under different fraudulent business names. Once a fraudster has our credit card number, what would hold them accountable for rendering the services promised other than a lawsuit. And, that should be clearly stated on your websites MAIN page! I want my stolen money refunded and this stylist removed from your platform to protect other potential victims of her scam!

I am rejecting this response because:
Your online portal is a way to rob unsuspecting clients of their hard earned money.You allow unlicensed, inexperienced, unprofessional unethical stylist to advertise under false pretense with bogus positive reviews. Once we input our credit card to reserve an appointment, the fake stylist can do whatever to our hair and charge us whatever through your portal. That is theft! And its illegal. The state of ******* should not allow you to operate.
This stylist I went to has real horrendous reviews on Yelp under several different salons. Which I found after she ruined my hair and stole my money from my account. I went to that salon suite and spoke with a stylist in another suite and she stated that countless young women come to her to complain about this very stylist. This needs to stop. If she is successful in getting money from my account after my bank dispute, I will be suing her and StyleSeat in small claims court in a ******* for the maximum allowed. Its the principle of it all.
You lie and say the stylist are willing to work with clients, I have not had that experience with ****. She is a con artist. And I want my money back! Period!!!
