Both the new and used Fitbits I have had 4 devices in the past 3 years lacked durability. At this point, I refuse to buy another [5th] device. I have lost all confidence in Fitbit products. Additionally, Fitbit will not issue a full or partial refund for the annual subscription. (If you purchase your subscription from ****** Play Store or Apple, Fitbit will also redirect you to them.) The subscription I have runs from 12/11/2022 - 12/11/2023. As of 02/26/2023, I am unable to use the device or get the most of the membership. (The part that connects the device to the band broke as I was walking.)Save yourself time and money. Find a more durable product. Please note: I did not submerge the Fitbits in water. They were not dropped. They simply have not been durable in my experience.02/08/2020: I bought a Fitbit Charge 3 from Amazon.06/26/2020: The screen stopped functioning.12/05/2020: I replaced the broken Charge 3 with the Fitbit Charge 4 Special Edition purchased directly from Fitbit.06/15/2021: By this date, the device malfunctioned and stopped working.August 2021: After the Fitbit Charge 4 Special Edition stopped working, I bought a used Charge 2 from a friend. It lasted much longer than the two new devices I purchased. Ultimately, the piece connecting the device to the band broke off into the band.December 2022: I was given a used Charge 4.12/11/2022: I purchased an annual Fitbit Premium subscription.02/26/2023: The clasp of the Charge 4 broke while I was walking.

Fitbit is as others described a terrible company. Charge 5 broke right from opening the box. I tried to replace the small band with the larger band, and the little plastic piece broke. Chat was very cold and impersonal, with little resolution but to have to ship everything back either for replacement or refund, but no attempts to offer any loyalty to a long time customer. So I set up the refund and packaged everything up, and then tried to call just to see if a person on the phone would be a little understanding, but they just hung up on me halfway through the conversation. I fully expect to have to put in a formal complaint as I don't see them giving me a refund. Bad products, bad customer service.

Con-artists. I bought a Fitbit over 15 years ago as a family motivation thing to keep us doing challenges, etc together. We ended up all cancelling our subscriptions. I didnt have any charges for YEARS. Then I started getting them again, but I looked into it by calling FitBit and it was for a Fitbit that I never had and they refused to cancel and close the account. I had to get my bank involved and eventually it was cancelled. Well, this happened again with another FitBit on my account that was also NOT MINE, and I had the same problem, except this time FitBit argued with me. They really dont care. As long as a subscription is active, they are happy, even if it isnt yours.

The devices don't work properly, they go way over on calories burned and distances traveled. When you try to return it, you have to fight to get your refund. They also don't automatically refund for insurance policies purchased with the item. You have to reach out after they received the item back to try to get a refund on the insurance plan purchase separately. These people are crooks. Don't buy FitBit, get a Garmin!

Bought a Fitbit Charge 5 with 1-year subscription for my wife in June, straight off the Fitbit website, using my credit card. At the time I was told this was the way to buy it as a gift. In January (6 months early), Fitbit autorenewed the subscription for $79.99 plus tax through Apple Store. We had never agreed to an autorenewal, nor was there any warning it was pending. When I called to resolve this, they said it was because I had used my email address for the purchase instead of hers, so she had been on a 6-month free trial which just expired. They said repeatedly that they do not EVER give refunds for subscriptions, even for a mistake like this, and they had no way of transferring the balance from "my account" (email address) to hers. Had to get a refund through Apple Store instead.

My fitbit Ionic was a recall. Fitbit stopping servicing it and it stopped working. They said I must send it back in order to get a refund. I sent it back September 2022. I recrived an Email stating they'd received it and it will take 10 Business days to receive my refund of $329 via PayPal. Then i was told it would be 40 days. I"ve called repeatedly and still after 4 months I've not received my refund. And no one can tell me when I'll get the refund.
