      Bought 2 Fitbit versa 2 in 2 years and both times the screen came apart from the watch

      My Fitbit watch is a Versa 2 and worked well until I downloaded a recent update from the Fitbit App. Their update immediately caused the watch to continually display the Fitbit logo. When the watch is turned off, it will simultaneously turn back on by itself displaying only the logo until the battery is depleted. When contacting their customer service phone support, they escalated the problem to their Fitbit team and advised me I would receive an email from them. I received a canned email response a short time later indicating my watch is out of warranty and they will offer a 35% discount towards a new watch. They did not address the fact the update caused the working product to fail. I traded a few additional emails with Fitbit but they continued to reference the watch is no longer covered under warranty. This takes on the appearance of a scam to increase product sales. Is it possible engineering and marketing produced an update to cause a product to fail in an attempt to sell new product? That's my guess. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another Fitbit product.

      They sell defective products and offer no replacement. Without any incident, their products fall apart after only a year. But they charge a hefty price for their products. This is basically stealing money from customers. No one spends 200 dollars for a product that is projected to last only a year.

      According to the specifications, the Fitbit versa 2 is supposed to be swim resistant upto 50m. It even has a swim lap detection feature. I took into the swimming pool exactly ONCE and it died on me. Tech support instructed me to put it on the charger, at which point it got dangerously hot. The next day I get a 35% discount code from them to buy another Fitbit. What a scam!

      I have had 3 different Fitbits. My last was a charge 4.worked fine until they pushed out an update now the Fitbit has a black screen. Contacted customer service tried restart and removing and adding back device. When that did not work, they sent a coupon for 35 % off of selected Fitbits.Dont purchase their products. Their updates damage your device and render them nonfunctional. I believe they do this on purpose to boost sales

      Fitbit seemed to have started out as a good company with quality products and excellent customer service. Several years ago, they honored their warranty and replaced my fitbit at no cost to me when it died.I currently have a different device that physically broke after only 9 months of wearing it. When trying to get a replacement per the 1 year warranty, they refused to honor it. After research, I have discovered that a multitude of other customers had the same exact failure of the same device. Definitely a defect that they won't admit to or try to remedy!This company has definitely gone downhill in both product quality and customer service. Just trying to make money off of people at this point instead of actually trying to serve their customer base. DO NOT buy from them unless you want to be greatly disappointed!!!!!

      I have been a Fitbit wearing lady since the pedometer. I upgraded all through the different Fitbit charge devices. I had a few hiccups over the last several years and struggled to find anyone to help. My fitbits were worn as a way to reduce health insurance that I received through my partner. I am writing because I got the Fitbit 5 charge its been a year of B.%#%^ This charge 5 never connects doesnt get steps doesnt update now it does not have a screen its a blackout. I can never talk to a person. Its garbage and its now so burning hot after talking of charger that I though it may cause a fire. Shame on Fitbit makers. I am so angry I dont understand I feel I got the lemon in the bunch. I need a activity tracker I wanted the extras charge 5 offered but its garbage.There is no one to help I tried everything on the community site nothing worked. I went from 5 million steps or more a year to nothing 100% less it never uploaded anything, I am angry I want it fixed, replaced something because this is uncalled for bull crud. Shame on Fitbit fix your products, care like you did in the first charge release. *********************

      Fitbit customer service is terrible. I called customer service and ***** M answered my call. He was very rude and didn't want to help. He all the time ignored my query and declined to transfer the call to any senior or Manager. Again fitbit customer service is taking down customer relations in deep low.

      As stated by countless others: Ionic refund never received. Sent the watch via their prepaid packaging. Three months and multiple contacts later. No refund. I suspect that ***************************** "volunteered" to recall the defective ionic to avoid government oversight that a safety recall would have caused. This way, the device is NOT in customers hands and causing ***** and they can come up with reasons not to pay etc. I took them up on their offer to get new devices at a discount. I wish that I had not. I do NOT like the new devices, and have already had to warranty replace one of the two already! My faith, trust and relationship with Fitbit and ****** has been irreparably damaged by these incidents. Safety recalls of this nature should not have happened. Failure to follow through with the recall and always stating some excuse or another for many months as to why you did not receive your refund is not any better than designing a device that can hurt you to begin with. I, for one, Have chosen to switch to Apple and not use any ****** (Android, Fitbit) product or service any longer ( closed my paypal, honey accounts as well). This is EXTRREMELY difficult to do! I even use DuckDuckGo as a search engine now. I unapologetically HATE ****** and all of its evil spawn (yea ******.. when you removed "Don't be Evil" from your company statement... we noticed). Namely in this instance: Fitbit. Another product/Service decimated by Alphabet!
