      I was fraudulently charged from a random "vendor" with zero contact information. My "purchase" was never scanned or swiped with square hardware, this my information was stolen and keyed into their software. When I received notification that this fraudulent charge was pending from my bank, i IMMIDATELY contacted my bank, and square. Square was able to give me a receipt of the supposed "transaction" where the vendor has ZERO contact information. This left me unable to contact anyone about this "purchase" and square could not provide any information about the vendor, nor could they cancel the PENDING transaction that they sent to my bank. This company is a incubator for fraud and scams. But, as long as they collect their % share of the fraud, who cares right?

      If you create a square account then you are committed to using their hardware.The purchase of a terminal is about $300, so it is not a lot, but ...After less than two weeks of operation, yesterday Square "deactivated" my account. The first ******** of the day was able to pay by credit card, but then the device would no longer work. After digging around, it became apparent that the account had been deactivated. If you call their support line, you will get into a conversation which is an endless loop of non-explanation. They will not tell you why your account was deactivated, but they have a solution, which is to open a new account with a different email. This is priceless. They switch off service at the drop of a hat, and then offer this as the answer.I told them very clearly, I would switch to Clover, and never be back!

      I used Square (Squareup) once to process a payment for a guitar repair through my small business. After attempting to transfer the funds to my debit card, I received an email saying my account was deactivated and that the funds would be held for 90 days with absolutely no reason given.I contacted customer service. The first rep said he didnt know why the account was shut down but promised to escalate and call me back. He never did. When I called again, the second rep refused to check the case notes, refused to connect me to a manager, and hung up on me when I mentioned recording the call (even though they record their own calls).Now, I cant reach anyone just an automated message that blocks further support. I never violated any policy, and the money was never even transferred its just sitting in Squares account. No warning, no justification, and no way to resolve it.This is an outrageous way to treat small business owners. If you're considering using Square, be warned: they can take your money and disappear behind automated walls.

      I, nor my company Joidat Travel, have an account with ********************** **** even though when you ****** Search you will see Joidat Travel listed under Square with a fake barbershop description. I called the company, spoke with a Square Representative, who informed me that if I don't have an account with ********************** ****, the company name, a created link ***************************************** and the fictious information CAN NOT be removed! Surprised to learn, I, the owner, do not do business with Square, Inc. So, how did my company's name and created link connect with Square, Inc.? I requested to speak with someone at a higher level. the Representative attempted to get help from the Manager who was "not available." He proceeded to request that I contact ****** Search. Little did he know, ****** Search referred me to Square, Inc. The information is still present on ****** Search as false representation, violation of my rights as the owner and mixed messages. I AM STILL REQUESTING REMOVAL OF THE FICTIOUS BARBERSHOP!!!!!

      Square customer service is horrible. They say they are recording the call, but if you are recording they will hang up on you. You can't speak to a supervisor. The supervisor will call you back in 1-3 business days. They say mobile check deposits take 1-6 business days, yet they don't count the business day it's deposited, so the truth is it will take 7 days. They screwed me badly not cashing checks and refused to do anything about it. They refuse to admit that thier 1-6 day check cashing policy is false. They charge the MOST and have the WORST service.

      Thieves! I have been a lotal customer of ********************** for years with an annual sales revenue of $300,000. Of that annoual rvenuew, Square processes about $100,000. I have had only ONE chargeback in all my years with them and it was in the amount of $600. This is a tiny amount compared to the hundreds of thousands I process with them. For no reason whatsoever, just last week, they put a reserve on my account. So they will hold 30% of my funds for SIX MONTHS!!!! That is stealing my hard earned money. Square is run by a bunch of THIEVES! DO NOT USE THE. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY UNDDR THE ***** OF A RESERVE. Who holds a person's funds for six whole months?

      I spent hundreds of dollars creating, maintaining, and promoting my website. As soon as I made my first debit card sale my account gets flagged by AI as suspicious and I get permanently suspended. I now have to wait 90 days for them to give me the money from my customer.

      Square has the worst customer service, and they continue to hold money that is not theirs, deactivate accounts without providing reasons, refuse to help small businesses, and basically stealing money. They collect their fees and then hold your companies money for an unlimited time (most likely collecting interest on money not theirs). This company does not help or assist small businesses. I have been waiting since December 2025 for funds to be deposited into my legitimate business account. I was emailed by Square the funds would be deposited on April 5th, 2025. This has not happened. Meanwhile communication with Square has been impossible. I have been polite and patient. They refuse to explain or provide answers. Im at my wits end. I do not understand how a company can continue to steal peoples money and not be held responsible.

      very very disappointed, had a small jewlery buisness, and after suddenly deactivating my account with no notice, they said they would hold my funds for 90 days. when i called them and begged and reasoned( as my funds in my square are what i need to pay my bills this week) they rudely told me nothing could be done and refuse to help me. i need my money
