  Like so many I sent two bags to TRR. They talked a lot of game and said I would okay the price. They never contact me about the price. I saw it online. Which was low. I couldn't get intouch with anyone to have them ship it back. I could better at a yard sell. Just as quickly they sold it, dirt cheap an my commission was a lousy 11 bucks. To which I have not received. This website and corp should be shut down for taking advantage of ppl. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM ... THEY ARE CROOKS!

  I am a RealReal seller, not a buyer. RealReal takes a large percentage of each sale, which I accepted. (After all, they are doing the effort to authenticate, ship, and to accept payment.) But, once RealReal has your merchandise to sell, they make their own rules. You cant talk to anyone over the phone. They will only text with you. You get someone different every time you text, and have to explain your issue from scratch. Its very difficult to get a straight answer from their representatives. They are skilled in the art of double-talk. Their written policies say one thing, but they will tell you something else. If they can figure a way to delay you receiving your commission, they will. They sold an item for me (at a ridiculously low price) on 8/1/24. Because of some unwritten policy (and I expect incompetence), I wont receive payment until October 15th. Logical argument is useless. Expect to be showered in platitudes about how much youre valued. Dont believe it.

  BAD ATTITUDE-BAD VIBES The Realreal on *********** is terrible- I went to sell some (brand-new but really ugly clothes) and was talked down to by 3 guys dresses in black. The clothes in the store are for people who aspire to be **** looking. Yuck_ I wouldnt be caught dead wearing anything from that place.

  Do not sell with TRR. This business is dishonest. I sent in 6 items to sell on TRR. In the initial conversation ******* said TRR would assess the items, price them, then I would ok the price. If I wanted my items back they would send them back at no cost. This is not what happened. They assessed my items and placed them online to be sold without consulting me. One of my vintage DVF dresses sold and my commission was $8. I asked for my items back and they told me it would be $15. I argued and they waived the $15 fee, but when I got my items one of them had been stolen. *** talked to several friends who have also had items stolen. Do not trust TRR or sell with them.

  BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! I used this company for many years and although I wasnt impressed with my commission it was worth it to me to have them handle everything. The last time I consigned I reluctantly gave them some of my designer bags that I havent used and a ton of clothes. They got my items listed them at ridiculously low prices - which is why they sold so quickly. I had signed up for site credit and had over 1K of credits on my account. I go in to make a purchase and notice my site credit is gone, all my seller history is gone as well! I have spent the last 3 months working with their horrible customer service in addition to finally getting a manager who has done nothing! They have stolen my bags, clothes and commission and their excuse is they merged my account with other accounts and are working with their IT team to get this resolved. Im getting my lawyer involved at this point - its not the money - its the principle! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

  Horribly unethical service for Consignors! They have my designer items listed at under $10 with a commission of $2 and want to charge me $15 an item to return them to me. **************** just offered me $50 site credit since Im upset. I said sure, use it to send me 3 of my items back for $45. No response. ******** company to consign to.

  Do not sell or buy from the Real Real. They sell overpriced fake designer items and make 40% commission on sold items. They do not notify you of the suggested sale price and will sell/ship out your items without your approval. Giving you no opportunity to retain your items back if youre not agreeable to their extremely low commission. An absolute scam

  I was sold a bag by Givenchy that didnt have a serial number which means it is counterfeit. It somehow got past their expert authenticators. When I wrote them i received this reply:***** (The RealReal)Jul 26, 2024, 5:46AM PDT Dear *******, This is a follow up email regarding your item inquiry "GIV204329". I appreciate your patience and understanding and I am sorry to inform you that the request is outside of the The RealReal standards or part of a The RealReal automation that cannot be changed by teams.Dont expect their items to be authentic!!

  From the start, when the Real Real sales rep picked up my clothing items, they couldn't set up an account for me online because the app wasn't working. It's a year later and I haven't been paid for items sold. The agents in customer service have such heavy accents, it's extremely difficult to understand them. I should have sold the items myself on ***** ******************

  Been using the site for YEARS, but NO more.Been using the site for years, 98% of the time I've been SO HAPPY. I've had a few situations recently that didn't add up and was told basically, 'too bad' by The RealReal. I now see what others have spoke of, I've always stood by them but today was a final straw. I will now longer use The RealReal and I will spread my story to others. BUYERS BEWARE!!!
