      Absolute scam. Charging businesses for leads that arent viable, even if the pro declines the lead. Do not use, they are stealing money from small businesses.

      I just signed up with Thumbtack as a contractor to receive leads. The experience was horrible. There is no customer support and they charged me for a lead that was not a lead. I requested a refund and was denied with no way to contact or talk to anyone. As you can see from the amount of negative reviews, I've cancelled my account.

      Thumbtack lied to me about there charges claiming I would pay 1 number for a lead but then charged me 5 times that amount. When I reached out to fix it I was given the runaround and made to feel like I was the one wrong. That's bad business practices.

      Thumbtac is a total rip off and no one to talk to. I had more so called leads that never happened, I'm beginning to think they are fake leads.They never give a refund, seems my situation never matches their policy. Tried to delete my account but has to go through approval first, mine was not approved. I am pretty upset at them.

      I used their platform. They charge you for leads, but those leads never read your message, so they respond to you after you respond to their request. Thumbstack charges you for leads that are not real. Of the eight leads, not one responded. Im fine paying for leads as long as they are real. I complaint and they said they cannot do anything with its. Such service is like a scam.

Leads are generated by the customer. The customer is the one going to **********************, putting in all their job details, and selecting the pro according that they want to work with. We value the pros that use Thumbtack and we ensure that all leads are legitimate through measures we have in place.

      While we do a refund for leads that have mistakes, we are not able to refund for customers who are unresponsive, hire someone else, or change their mind about the project.       I genuinely believe a lot of leads on here are bots. Pros have to pay for leads who message them, which means if a bot selects the pro and the pro gets ghosted, the pro still pays for the worthless lead. This has happened to me so many times its not worth using the site. Not to mention I have been forced to pay for leads that dont match the description of what I said I would pay for!

      No alerts when you get a lead. No text, no phone call no nothing tonlet you know you have a direct lead that they automatically charge you for..... This is NOT the thumbtack from years ago...... We will no longer work with this business!

      Will never use thumbtack again. Two contractors from that app had no clue how to fix my washing machine. For one of the contractors, it took for me to leave an honest review to get a response after he left my house.
