  Never had a problem. I'm a professional and have had a couple times I've needed a refund due to customers not responding after looking for work. If you actually learn how to maneuver the app you can absolutely kickstart your business. After reading most recent reviews I can tell you it's user error. This app writes everything out for you and hides nothing. Will continue to use thumbtack.

  I am experiencing many of the same problems as other Pros who once listed with Thumbtack years ago, and now are being charged crazy fees while also being shut out of the Thumbtack platform. No matter what the issue, Thumbtack says to log into my account there, then charges money and does a background check for every single log in. Their social media pages just lead to a bunch of chatbots that tell you to log into your account, for the same result. Their phone number leads to an automated message that only allows you to interact via text message, then shuts off. The text message support never responds. Thumbtack has made themselves unavailable in every way to resolve any problems.As of now, it's impossible to consider them a legitimate business in any way whatsoever. It's not clear to me that what they're currently doing is even legal? I hope all freelancers, small businesses, and customers stay away from them completely. In my opinion, for everyone's safety, they need to be shut down and forced to pay compensation and stopped in their tracks from damaging people's identities and professional lives.

  Working with Thumbtack Pro was a thoroughly disappointing experience. After signing up with Thumbtack Pro, I can honestly say I have had a terrible experience and do not recommend them for other service providers. Not only are their services extremely expensive, the customer service is below par and the leads provided were of extremely poor quality. Hold times for a customer service representative are well over forty five minutes. **************** is outsourced and escalating to management does nothing additional but get you a prefabricated email. In addition to the fake bot leads that come through, I was particularly shocked by their refusal to refund any of the funds paid for their services even after repeated requests. In my opinion, this company does not deserve anyone's time or money and I cannot recommend them in good faith. For these reasons, as well as many others, I do not recommend Thumbtack Pro.

  DO NOT PUT YOUR INFORMATION ON THUMBTACK!!I put my information on there platform and for a FULL SERVICE caterer which I was looking for my wedding. Some how a business named ******************* which is only on Thumbtack texted me and I didn't do my research and thought that Thumbtack had sent my information over to them. I ended up hiring ******************* and they did a terrible job they even butchered my wedding cake! I contacted Thumbtack and they said that they do not see any connection from my account and *****... somehow my information was released to this terrible company and they are not willing to discuss anything with me even ***************** keeps mentioning multiple time that Thumbtack definitely had something to do with my information being released to them

  Thumbtack is not a good company to work with. They charge you for every lead even if the customer doesn't hire you. A business like this is stealing from small companies trying to survive. I was once charged ****** for a lead and didn't even get hired. When you ask for a refund, they just decline and copy and paste the same political answer over and over again. Please save yourself time, money, and energy by not working with this company. I only have regrets working with them.

  This company is a scam with fake leads. They don't even tell you how much the lead cost until after you paid.They should be ashamed of themselves for misleading people and creating random prices for leadd.

  I attempted to create an account and everytime I do, they disable it and say i "violated there terms of use." I connected my debit card for the leads and then they disable my account for absolutely no reason?? They keep sending me some generic email stating "why" they disabled my account and even sent me something regarding the ****************, but I'm not even from there? Idk seems fishy to me.

  I have used thumbtack for my first time and sure am disappointed. Someone reached out to me about my project installing doors saying they could no problem they messed up the whole project and took our money didnt finish the job it looks awful i tried to co tact thumbtack to complain and i cant reach anyone the phone line says they are in training and i try to do the online form and it says something went wrong so i have no way of reaching them ! This needs to be resolved as i kkkw have to pay other people to finish and redo the job they did terribly wrong ! I had another professional come to check out the doors and he informed us it was done entirely wrong and he will have to fix everything !

  Thumbtack is one of, if not, THE WORST lead generation apps out there. They are scammers, and continually try to tell professionals that they aren't and every lead is 'verified'. Nothing can be further from the truth. I've been on Thumbtack since the very beginning, and I know what they are doing to us Pros. They need to be sued. How ironic that in their Terms and Conditions it states no class action lawsuit can be brought against them. We are charged for jobs we don't get. We are charged for customers that never reply nor check their messages. We are also charged and customers haven't a clue that we are. Furthermore, Thumbtack has no transparency and we are charged a random amount. While we set the limit on fees, they don't reveal what that fee is,and where they are coming up with the dollar amount. Their "customer service" is overseas (***********), and reading a script. They will not give refunds 99% of the time, and lie constantly. This is how they are raking in enormous amounts of money. So we , the professionals, are supposed to ************** that never responded or didn't even put info on their lead request. Every customer, or potential customer, needs to be informed that we are charged a fee every time we are picked. These customers don't know this. A customer will pick 5 pros , and 1 gets the job. But 5 get charged the fee. It's a scheme! I have an outstanding balance, and I'm supposed to pay this amount for customers that never replied nor hired me? Or even read my replies? It's outrageous. The credits system years ago was much better. It worked. This new method is to make Thumbtack more money. A lot more. That's obvious. I've talked to several attorneys, just to see if this has legal ramifications. It might. The refund policy is a joke, and to get a refund is a miracle in itself. Having a phone number means nothing. The customer can still be a "bot". ********************** is a huge scam--stay far away. They are sending fake leads and will take your money.

  DO NOT GIVE THUMBTACK YOUR MONEY! The biggest scam of all lead-based companies. The sales team offers excellent deals to get you to join. However, after you pay and join, nothing, zero, **** they say happens. I was told I would get 10 leads a week, I have got one in **************************************************************** asked for. The Icing on the cake is my profile is often not showing on the page for my industries, and I can't get help for days from their " Tech Support" which is always in "Training" or unavailable during business hours.
