      stay far away from this company if your a legit contractor . complete rip off . there is no transparency they will no credit you for bogus leads at all . they get you signed up and lock you in to a bogus contract and flood you with fake leads. when i challenged them on my credit card disputes they came up with a bogus contract . **** MY WORDS THIS COMPANY WILL STEAL FROM YOU AND NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT IT !MAJORITY OF THE CUSTOMERS ARE LIBERAL AND LOOKING FOR A HANDOUT OR A SUPER CHEAP PRICE . their app is for the garage mechanic that is unlicensed . if your a contractor stay away !

      Thieves! Thumbtack steals your money for bogus leads. Leads that aren't actual people. But as long as they have a valid phone number, that's enough to deny a refundefor the money they stole from my account for a lead phone number is unreachable ** it's not an actual person. RIDICULOUS!!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! BEWARE!!

      Absolute Scam, let's get a class action suit together!I registered on ThumbTack as pro. They charged me $170 from my card without my knowledge for a lead that didn't meet my target preferences. I put in my settings that I only work remotely and only with commercial companies. Thumbtack sent me a lead that wanted me to come to another State and do work for the church. The problem was also that the lead would not contact me and I couldn't even get in touch with him.I was denied a refund for the lead. I intend to *** the service with a class action lawsuit. If you are also cheated by the service, then join the group on Reddit!

      I see many of the same complaints I have. Fees that are charged for leads that amount to nothing. The potential leads don't even respond...and you are charged just for getting the alleged "matches." I have reached out to customer service over a dozen times attempting to stop the charges. Nobody responds. I am looking for any other victims to join me in a class action lawsuit for consumer fraud.

      Your better off walking into a hardware store and asking someone for help. These people aren't required to have any sort of licensing. Paid a guy for two small jobs and neither of them were fixed but still had to pay him for his time. He broke the clips off my built in microwave i watched him but he never said hey I just broke it, meanwhile I'm picking up shards of broken plastic. He destroyed things and fixed nothing.

      Terrible experience with this app. We have gotten a couple of legitimate leads, but mostly we are paying exorbitant fees for "leads" where potential customers don't even respond to our initial message, and haven't even viewed our business profile. When we go to dispute these charges, we are instantly met with an automated response telling us our claim isn't eligible for a refund. The "start a chat" feature on their website isn't functional, and customer service is basically powerless to distribute refunds unless you can verify that it was fraudulent.

Customers who have projects or jobs that match your targeting preferences that you entered into your account can reach out to you to learn more about working with your business. When this happens, you are charged a lead fee. You're paying for the value of being connected with a potential customer whether or not you're hired.All sales on Thumbtack are final and non-refundable per our refund policy in our Terms of Use under the section Thumbtack Fees and Taxes., which all users on Thumbtack agree to upon signing up. However, we know every dollar counts when you are a business owner, so there are certain situations where we will add credit back to your Thumbtack balance. If you ever find that a customers request does not match your account preferences, if you quoted on the same customers project twice, or if a customer request violates our Terms of Use, we will review the situation.       Thumbtack is horrendous. Speaking as a pro they will charge you for ghost leads or unmatching-preference-leads and when you request for a refund they'll deny it. You can't speak to a person to address your concerns and they constantly apologize on these reviews of their company when hundreds are saying the very same thing. Thumbtack is a SCAM To thumbtack's response team to this review: don't apologize but change your platform's fee/lead policy's and REFUND all the pros you scammed.

      This platform doesnt treat professionals good they reach out every time a customer has an issue which is 90% of the time they want fair Cheap work with the best quality *** tag has been known to deactivate accounts for no apparent reason until your refund the customer even though youre the one paying them stay away thumbtack is a scam
