To say SoFis customer service department Wawa helpful would be to lie I contacted them and ended up dealing with three people *****, and ********. We are expecting a refund from enterprise after renting a car for the weekend. I confirmed with enterprise that they sent the refund to SoFi and SoFi told them it would be within 5 business days for the transaction to be complete I contacted them to get an update on that refund and the three mentioned above claimed they did not have it and took an approach and attitude of say whatever you can to avoid blame and end this conversation. This mindset is becoming a theme in customer service and it is sickening. I truly did not get any real reassurance or way to monitor my refund even after explaining to them we are relying on said money for food and gas over the next few days. I have had a solid experience with SoFi up to this point but these are the interactions that leave you questioning your decisions. I like working with banks that truly put their customer first but if this is what their customer service department represents? That does not seem to be the case with SoFi Truly disappointing as now I have to check my account every minute because my nerves are rattling knowing I dont have my money and no way to check when it will arriveSoFi

DON'T DO Business with This so-called company I was preapproved July 19, 2024 for 7500. I sought a loan for 4500 and after providing every document including an employment verification link on 8/3/24 and received an email declining my loan due to their inability to verify my employment, which I believe was really an inability to utilize the standard employment verification system that companies utilize today. I sent the following email in response to this decline.I find the decision unbelievable noting all the changes your firm sent my through which included constant emailing, unlocking my credit file and contacting my employer and obtaining their website information for verification that all major companies use for verification. I don't believe your company knew how to utilize their verification system because it would have verified that I am a rehire that has worked for the county three times. Misleading me with your preapproval process and your BS customer service. I know and understand I am only one customer, but I will do my best to expose the false misleading qualities of your firm to the BBB and Financial oversight ethics representatives for consumer affairs.SoFi

Do not put your money here if you are not sure of quality of merchant. They will take 90 days to think about giving you your money back. A rideshare Empower) drivers had ride off several times when I would go for my cigarette pick up- I paid up front and they would drive off with no consequences.. I contacted SoFi and they seem to have unprofessional claims clerks who would ask me same questions over and over till it was 90 days and then they would deny. Claims our a big part of banking and if not handled professionally, it can be a disaster and bad merchants get away online.SoFi

This financial institution is working outside the parameters of Electronic Funds Transfer Act. They are non-compliant regulatory E. They have not followed through on following the guidelines for financial disputes. I have been completely lied to by this organization. I purchased a plane ticket thru bookings.com when I received my itinerary the return flight was not the flight in which I selected. They said the plane filled up so assigned me a different flight. That flight was for a different day I could not accommodate. I instead of selecting a flight for me to please just issue me a refund if they cannot follow thru on my selection. I was passed from person to person. I tried the online chat. They admitted what they did & I enclosed screen shots. Provided to SoFi in dispute less than 2 hours after purchase. As I was trying to get refund from Booking.com Was advised I would get credit in 10 days that was 15 days ago now told maybe 90! When I asked about provisional I was hung up on!SoFi

TERRIBLE. I opened my account 6/25/2024 and as of today 7/29/2024 I still havent received a debit card. I have called 3 times to have a new card sent and received little to no help with getting a card to me, each time its wait another 7-10 business days. The customer service online are rude and the supervisors over the phone could seem to care less. Each associate will give you different information and then apologies for the others misinformation Just pay the fee to have a bank account with any other major bank, save yourself the headache.SoFi

Sofi is not a good bank my last deposit theu never gave me money but posted the money to my account I called them for 6mths straight about why it say money was in my account showing in my account but would let me take it out they put some hold for 6mths alway a different story... lie after lie I said don't yall type in wverytime I call to find out why I can't get money... when my check gotta deposit I lost my card it took them a month in a half to get a card they kept changing the date they sent it out so that two things that happen. So fi put me in a bind with my bills at that time I trusted them with direct deposit. I got friends to sign up never got money for that. Very bad bank and never got the money for my last check deposit but it's posted to account.. I'm putting this info on every social media I can now worst bank never get story straight there word against mine cause it wasn't put in system when I called.. this bank should be closed they steal your money and don't give you anything for people signing up.SoFi

I opened a Sofi account without reading reviews, aside from having to wait for deposited funds to be available, I didn't have any real concerns. Until...I mean, kudos to them for catching fraudulent charges, however, their sole solution was to freeze my card and have me wait over 10 days for a new one. As a single-account user, going cardless for that long isnt an option. In my small town, 'pay' apps aren't widely accepted due to fees. Previous banks would credit my account and investigate without freezing or replacing my card, which made me feel appreciated as a consumer. Perhaps I became too accustomed to this kind of service. Now, I'm reevaluating my bank switch. If you're wondering why I switched accounts in the first place, the reasons are personal and irrelevant to this review. I'm currently looking for a new bank.SoFi
