      SoFi is sending emails to customers who received free stock for a brokerage account they'll charge them $25 fee for "inactivity" if they did not log in by "end of day" after receiving the email. This was due to not logging in within 6 months.This is an outrageous business practice considering the free stock offering was from years ago and less than $25. To insinuate they'd be willing to charge customers, especially considering the thousands of accounts who surely have less than $25 in them, and then potentially overdraft their accounts or at least scare them into believing this was possible, is typical SoFi. They've done nothing to rectify their terrible customer standing.

      I have a credit card with SoFi and I did a virtual chat with an agent last night 05/17/24 about my autopay. I previously had an issue with the autopay not pulling from my account and I had to make a payment myself. I bank with SoFI as well so it pulls from my checking account instantly. The due date is the 17th of every month. I started the chat with an agent because I was concern led that I did not see the autopay pull from my account. The agent name was ****. I asked the agent if she could see a pending autopay transaction because it was not reflecting on my end. The agent said she did not see any pending autopay and that she could set up the payment for me. She told me to disable my autopay so I would not be double charged. I thought that was weird since she said there was nothing pending. I allowed the agent to schedule the payment and I noticed it did not come out of my account right away.I told her to pay ****** for my April statement balance. The transaction comes out instantly when I do it and says instant payment. The agent said it was fine and I would see it tomorrow. Today, 05/18/2024 I check my account and I have a posted autopay transaction for $****** and a pending transaction for $****** that the agent made. I immediately called SoFi because I was told there was no autopay transaction and now Im being double charged. The agent on the phone name was *******. I explained what happened and she confirmed she did see the chat and the double charge. She told me because I have a balance for *** that the extra payment will go to that. I told her I did not want that and that I wanted a refund because it was an agent error. She said that it will take 7 business days to post and then they could look at a refund. I let her know the autopay was posted already so she could refund that and just let the pending transaction post. She said it was not posted and my balance wasnt updated. Everything was updated on my end so I asked for a manger and it took 20 mins.

      Great company ! Looked into personal loans to pay of credit card debt, sofi approved me within minutes and funded within a couple days since I applied on a Friday. The interest rate is lower than anywhere else. Great costumer service as well. A+++

      Do not try to apply with this company. They will tell you they will help regardless of credit rating only to be turned down. They won't help anyone make a fresh start. Please don't waste your time. It is false advertising.

      They have terrible customer service and they are very misleading with their promos and features. My girlfriend referred both me and my dad to Sofi, and none of us got the promo money that they advertised to us. When we called them, it took about an hour to get in contact with a customer service agent. The customer service agent told us that there was fine print in my dad's referral, and they agreed that the conditions mentioned in the fine print were missing in the referral text and it should be there. However, they said they couldn't do anything for us, so we asked to speak to a manager. We stayed on the line waiting for a manager for hours until it hung up on us. We called again the next day and had a similar experience, but this time they offered to have the manager call us back later that day. A week later, we had no call so we called them back. After another long wait and another similar conversation we got transferred to a manager again and waited for hours again, but this time we got connected. This manager was basically the same experience as the regular agent. They told us that the text should have the requirements, but wouldn't ***** us the promo. They told us they'd open a ticket and we got an email later that day saying we were denied. We decided to leave Sofi because we can't trust them.

      I was just told I don't have the ability because of my disabilities to manage a loan or basically do anything I told them I was trying to accomplish through their bank I'm extremely offended and need to know if my civil rights as a disabled person were violated

      My name is ************** currently have a checking and savings account with ********************** bank they are by far one of the worst banks to bank with I do not recommend anyone to use any of their services. I've been a banking customer for years and not once have I had a good encounter with any of there online or phone representatives they're rude and a very unprofessional banking institution. One particular time I was speaking with a phone representative about my account because I was having another issue concerning my account the representative ******* called me a n***** and told me I should be back in chains and all I was trying to get her to understand that my account had been frozen and could not access any of my funds. Sofi still has not unfrozen my account and will not let me close out to get my funds. Everything that Sofi Bank advertise or promote is a lie. PSA WARNING... PLEASE DO NOT BANK WITH THESE EVIL AND UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE...

      Horrible company for customer service and they do not work with you on anything. Never late or missed payments and was treated horribly by customer service. *********************** loan with different bank just to get away from them.

      I only back with SoFi for a few months. The first Time I called into customer service, my phone number mysteriously got changed. I wasnt notified, but when I log back into my account, I noticed the change I called customer service. They had no clue how it got changed apologize and then changed it back a few months later maybe two I was scheduled to get a direct deposit the following day, but the day before mysteriously close my account. When I called to question why they said that I had broken some kind of rule but no one could tell me what the rule was, I called back several times yet still, nobody was able to answer this question one representative told me to reapply online to see if that will fix the problem. When I reapplied it says that I have an active account with ********************** thats no longer true because the account was closed and I dont know the reason but as of today 2024 is still says I have an active account with ********************** and I dont. Call customer service many times no one can give me any answers. They see that my account was always in good standards. I did have direct deposit going directly to the account so there was no reason to close the account. Do not bank with this bank there is some funny business going on and no one can seem to explain why! Just know that if they ever close your account, they wont be able to give you a reason why and they can close it without reason.

      My SoFi account was compromised in March 2024 and $5000 was taken via "Pay A Friend." I froze the account right away and called SoFi. The person I spoke with UNFROZE my account, putting my account in further danger of more money being taken. I have two disputes out and SoFi hasn't contacted me in 20+ business days. They also won't provide me with information as to where the money went. It's been two months since the money was stolen. SoFi won't update me with anything nor tell me what additional documentation they're waiting on. The person I spoke with tonight just says that "the back office has to review the dispute and there is no updates and no way to get ahold of the back office." They gave me an email for me to send additional information to, but every reply says the account is not monitored. I call every week to ask questions and ask for an update, which they never provide.
