      Sofi did a hard credit pull, APPROVED my loan, then never gave me the funds, and 3 weeks later declined my loan.

      Seems like every other review for SoFi, i have had my account frozen for over a month now. i have gone from calling every day to a few times a week. luckily i got my direct deposit changed to a new account i opened or else id have missed every bill i have. some reps tell me they dont know why, some tell me its because of a check i deposited and then canceled as it was going to take a WEEK to deposit on the mobile app. This bank is a scam at worst and an incohesive mess at best. Do not bank here.

      Same issue as everyone else here it appears....My wife and I made a joint SoFi checking account for bills/expenses/etc. My wife tried to transfer some money from our SoFi checking account into her personal account (different bank) after she paid a big house bill w/ her personal account. Andddddd FREEZE. Our SoFi account gets locked. No email notification, text notification, nothing. I just happened to log in the next day and am greeted with a small banner at the top of the app, which tells me the account is locked. I call the number provided, and tell ******* on the phone that yes - this transfer is authorized. They say thanks, and tell me to continue checking my app to see when my account will be unlocked. Well that was 7 days ago, and our account is STILL locked. I've called every day since asking for updates, and the answer is always the same - 'please continue checking you SoFi app to see when your account will be unlocked.' The phone reps won't patch me through to any higher authority, and will not tell you when to expect the account to be unlocked. One rep actually hung up on me - and I pride myself on not being a jerk to customer service reps! ** unless you like losing access to your money for indefinite amounts of time, I cannot recommend SoFi to anyone. Sure the interest rates on the checkings/savings looks good, but at the end of the day (and end of the month, when the bills are due!), you want your bank to be reliable, quick, and friendly. And SoFi just doesn't cut it.

      I've been with SoFi ever since 2019 with no issues. On January the 11th in the evening time I received an email my account has been restricted with no explanation as to why. I have called them numerous of times told them I didn't report any fraud charges therefore there is no fraud charges they just keep saying they have escalated the case. It is still frozen. After seeing all these bad reviews anyway once I remove my money from the account I'm going to close all of my SoFi accounts anyway. SoFi have so many bad reviews now it's pathetic. If you are looking for a bank do not use SoFi. Try Varo, Chime, etc! I just want my account unfroze so I can remove my money and close all my SoFi accounts. I don't recommend SoFi for anyone! ****** search SoFi closing accounts and there is many bad reviews. Choose another bank not SoFi!

      On Sept. 18,2023 my account was frozen and I was told that it was under investigation and someone would get back to me about my account. After calling several time every week I was told I violated the check deposit agreement. I asked what part of the agreement I violated. And Noone could give me any information. The next week I called back and was told that the check I deposited was fraudulent. And was given a reference number to contact the irs. In doing so the irs told me that they had no information o the reference number and I had no debt with them. It is now Jan. 12, **** and my account remains frozen, and I am still being told that my account will be closed. This has created alot of problems for me financially my rent is behind, my lights and water are behind due to the freezing of my account. ********************** has still not contacted me and continue to keep my accounts frozen. Please somebody help me get my money out of this bank.

      Like many others on this site, I have had an account frozen at ********************** after depositing a check into my account. I have spent multiple days calling to check on the status of my funds being frozen and receive no status updates or assistance. There is no one to talk to regarding the account freeze and no other options to chat with any SoFi representative. The customer service is horrendous and it feels as though the institution is holding my money hostage, and not providing any actual assistance to solve the problem.

      I am an early adopter of the SoFi Credit Card. I would never recommend this credit card to my worst enemy. On paper, the benefits are good.But the way fraud is handled is abysmal. After being making an initial fraud claim, and waiting 90 days-only after calling-I was told that the report was filed under a different card than the used in the unauthorized transaction, and that I would have to wait for this new dispute to resolve.I did not receive a case number for this new dispute and I have NEVER been emailed WHATSOEVER regarding these issues. Now I have to keep making payments on hundreds of dollars of fraudulent transactions every month, because I wasn't given a provisional credit, like the standard is for other banks.Stay far far away from SoFi.

      I have been an active member of SoFi Money by ******* or SoFi Bank as they are now called for 4 years. I have never encountered even one issue with my checking, savings, investment or vault accounts in that entire time. Instead, I have been repeatedly rewarded with benefits, swag, high interest rates on all of my accounts regardless of balance, bonuses, and membership perks. I currently participate in their Inner Circle Ambassador program which gives me even more rewards on top of membership rewards. I cannot give enough positive feedback to express how awesome I feel SoFi has been and is still to me. I would highly recommend this mobile banking app to anyone that is looking for an awards driven, fun, secure online bank. Thanx SoFi! ?

      I recently opened a checking/savings account with **********************. I made a mobile check deposit with the sofi app. This was a check issued by ***************** government, the ** treasury. My first attempt to deposit was denied by sofi. In an email from sofi, it was stated the check was not endorsed. Apparently my signature was missed by the "bank". I made a 2nd mobile deposit attempt for the same check. The deposit was again denied. This is the email from sofi: "We cant accept credit card checks, large checks made out to multiple people, or checks made out to someone other than the account holder."This us treasury check was made to ME. Only me. This was NOT a credit card check. Sofi is a pathetic excuse for a so called technology bank. How dare you deny my check deposit which was issued by us government! You must have incompetent, imbecile staff behind your computers. I've lost all trust in this pathetic sofi institution. I am pulling out my funds and closing this account. ********************** you are a joke and you should be fined for this. Do not become a customer at **********************.

      On 01/04/2023 I received an email stating that my account has been restricted due to fraudulent activity supposedly. I followed the steps to prove that there's no fraud. I talked to 6 people. Each of them told me that I could not call the fraud department to getting any information and that they are the main point of contact. I don't understand that at all!! My money was deposited into the account today, 01/05/2024 and they're telling me that I can't access ANY of my money. And that I have to just wait for the fraud department to call me. This is really bad due to the fact I had to walk an hour and 32 mins home from work because I had no money!!! My kids couldn't be picked up from daycare, so their teacher had to drop them off for me!!! I can't pay my bills, rent, nothing!!! I need answers. I've never heard of anything like this before. Two of the representatives hung up on me!!! Because they couldn't understand what I was saying when I was spelling everything out for them! SLOWLY! this is infuriating
