      This company is a joke. They provide personal loans and then require prove of citizen and once you upload all documentation they disapprove you at the last hour. **************** is also a joke, many do not know how to explain what documentation needed and state that customer will get approval so they check your credit score in the process, lowering your score and after two days they come up With a final dissapproval excuse that they cannot add funds to your account due that it is a joint account.       After a thorough review of your profile, we can confirm that you applied for a SoFi

      Personal Loan in the amount of $********** You were pre-qualified for the loan and

      provided your consent for a hard credit inquiry to be completed on 06/11/2023. The SoFi

      Personal Loan application was approved on 06/13/2023 and we received your e-signature

      that same day.

      After an application is approved and signed for, SoFi completes a final verification of the

      disbursement account, automatically and/or manually via a third party verifier, prior to

      funding. Additionally, SoFi’s policy is that if a disbursement account is unable to be

      verified then the application is declined out of an abundance of caution that the funds are

      going to the correct party.

      Regrettably, we were unable to verify the disbursement account systematically or

      manually via our third party verifier. Therefore, the application was declined in accordance

      with our policy due to being unable to verify your identity on the account as of

      06/13/2023 and an Adverse Action Letter was sent that same day.

      I had been approved for a sofi loan up to $7000 I asked for $5000 and they did a hard credit check! And denied my loan because of what I made last year! This place is a scam stay far away!!!! Other lenders are definitely more happy to help out!! Keep shopping this place is ridiculous and will chop at your credit score and leave you mad by the end of the day!!

      I took out a personal loan from Sofi about 2 years ago and never was late with a payment, recently my wife was in an accident that left her partially paralyzed, she lost her business and patiently waiting to hopefully receive disability but may take a while. I currently have a personal care for her during the day which is not covered by insurance and the bills have extremely exceeded my income. I have worked out reduced payment programs with CITI, Capital One and Chase through their hardship programs which enables myself to continue payments, SOFi will not offer any hardship programs as I have spoke to them several times by phone and email and now they are sending me threatening emails by taking legal action. This bank is a disgrace.

      I only opened this account because they were offering a bonus with a new ******* Money by SoFi account. The ad came directly to my ******* smartphone through the ******* Money app. Their website clearly outlined a promotion of $20 for initial deposit of "any amount" (however when you actually get to the account open page it states there is $10 minimum), and $200 on the first $1,000 deposits within 30 days. Sounds easy enough, right? Wrong. I met both requirements within the allotted time frame and neither of my bonuses were deposited. I had to reach out to support via email about the first bonus, and was finally rewarded after about 2-3 of going back and for (i.e. time wasted). Now I have just had to contact support about the second bonus, which was nowhere to be found although they said it would be deposited after 7 business days. Let's see if they honor this one as well. It's interesting to me that they have the time to update their bonus offer every 30 days, but not enough time to make sure that it actually credits like it's supposed to. Overall, shady and deceptive marketing. I hate having to chase down something that YOU say will be done automatically. 1 star and a bad first impression. Good thing I have other banks.

      SoFi closed my account and holding my money hostage. I have tried ten times to submit my license using my iPhone which was successful to verify me. When it comes to scanning a facial picture with my iPhone SoFi website keeps saying oops, retry. How am I supposed retrieve my money?

      Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding your SoFi Bank Account. We appreciate the

      opportunity to respond.

      After a thorough review of your account, we can confirm that your account was restricted on

      04/18/2023, and your account was forwarded to our Member Security Team for further

      investigation.

      The SoFi Bank Deposit Account Agreement states the following information regarding our right to

      restrict the account:

      “If at any time SoFi Bank believes that your Account is being used or managed in a manner

      inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement, including Account activity in violation of law or any

      SoFi Bank policies and procedures, or if we identify suspicious, irregular, unauthorized, fraudulent

      or illegal activity, we may, in our sole discretion, take any action we believe appropriate, including

      without limitation, suspending access to certain Account features (e.g., limiting features such as

      ATM fee reimbursements), reversing a transaction, or suspending or freezing your Account entirely

      (and any other accounts you maintain with us), or we may remove and segregate disputed funds

      from your Account, until such time as we are able to complete our review and investigation of the

      Account activity and decide to lift any Account restrictions or close the Account.”

      Our records indicate that you contacted SoFi via phone several times between 05/18/2023 and

      06/01/2023 inquiring about the account restriction. You were advised we could not remove the

      restriction or expedite the review. On 05/18/2023, you spoke with our Member Security Team,

      during the conversation, a link was sent to your phone number ending in ****; you stated that the

      session has expired and the agent advised you that 15 minutes were remaining to complete the

      verification, however, you were unsuccessful in completing the verification. Unfortunately, on

      05/20/2023, you were not able to complete the verification again.

      Our Member Security Team completed their investigation on 06/02/2023 and decided to close

      your account due to violating the SoFi Bank Deposit Account Agreement. The remaining balance of

      $106.22 will be transferred via ACH to the linked external account ending in *****. We apologize

      for any inconvenience this may have caused.

      Horrible bank once you have something go wrong like fraud in my case. They throw you into a black hole with frozen accounts and zero communication. Makes you realize the value of brick and mortar where I can sit down witha human and gets things done. Will be closing all banking asap.

      They offered a $200 bonus to apply and receive a new credit card. Now they refuse to honor that. They are liars and use false advertising. Very deceptive company. Stay away from these crooks!!! Should not be in business!!!

      I have a bank account with **********************. I received a payroll check from a employer for a 2 week job i did in ********. I deposited the payroll check into my account and waited 5 days for the check to clear. After the fifth day the check showed returned in the app. I then called to find out what the issue with the check was so i cpuld follow up with the employer. I was told my account is frozen and is being closed. I didnt understand why and the fraud **** was rude and stated my account is being closed and that the check was no good. Its been over 2 weeks now and my account is still froze. Its not been closed and they wont allow me access to my funds i had in my account before this happened. Im now at home with no access to my funds to p a y bills or live day to day. Ive been given no time frame accept after the investigation they will give me more info. Supposedly the investigation is over and the account is closed. Not only have i lost income over the bad check i received sofi is holding all my other income hostage as well including my wifes direct deposit from work. Im fine closing our account i thought banks would protect u from scams but thats not the case. Close my account we just need our money. We have a family to take care of. This company is as bad as the scammers out there.
