      I think if you need access to your money soon after receiving it, don't use this bank. There is so much they don't bother to tell you when you open your acct. Like the fact that if you deposit a check on-line, it will take 5 days for it to show up in your account; that employees don't seem to know the rules. One employee told me direct deposit gives me immediately access to my money; while a supervisor told me I would not have access to my $ for ***** hrs., which does not work for me. Try trying to make a deposit at a physical ************** will cost you close to $5. These are things they don't tell you up front. What I want from a bank is honesty and transparency, and I don't feel like they offer that at all. By the time I got off the phone with them my ** was through the roof. I ended up breaking one of my New Year's intentions, which is not to let anyone steal my joy, and that day that is exactly what heppened. I got over it though because I'm enjoying letting others know how raggedy they are. I'm warning others not to make the mistake I made by opening an account with this organization! Needless to say, I closed my account but now I have to contact every one I gave their info to (my rental office as I pay my rent on-line), social security and a few other companies. If I could give them less than 1 star, would so in this space, I give them NO STARS!!!!!

      I set up a checking account and the wrong email was put down. I called and spoke with their "help" line. They told me to put in another account with the correct email address and they would correct it there and switch the $100.00 I placed in it to the new account. I got my card in the mail and preceded to try and get it working. It wouldn't go through. I called their "help" line and was told there was nothing they could do. They told me that I would have to have another email account to fix it. Very unpleasant people. I even spoke with a supervisor ...no resolution. My son is an IT person and was making suggestions how to resolve this. They didn't want to hear anything. I told them to give me my money back and cancelled my " account". Explained I would tell everyone not to deal with them.

      I opened my account with SoFi, attracted by its decent welcome bonus with qualifying direct deposits. When I read through the terms and rules at the time of my account opening, it said deposit $5000 or more within 30 days and I could get a $300 bonus; and that's how I set up my direct deposit following the rules to get $300. However, I only got $50 at the end after depositing more than $5000 within 30 days, because SoFi changed the bonus criteria along the way and didn't honor the rules I initially saw at the time I opened my account. **************** is not helpful at all in resolving my issue. It was my fault to trust SoFi and didn't take a screenshot to collect evidence for myself, but I feel so disappointed about SoFi's treatment to its customers.

      Horrible company to work with. They approved our student loan refi and intentionally sat on it so we would have to reapply and pay a higher interest rate. Then they lied about attempts to notify us about the process and lied about us not needing to take further action to close the loan. These businesses practices are not only unethical but probably also illegal. I would stay far away from this company. That outsource their call center to ***** leading to poor communication and business skills.

      I wish I had come here first before opening this account with SoFi, I have had real difficulty transferring funds into the account. One day, it says funds will be available on a certain date and then the date is pushed back. Funds for payments I have made have been returned because they haven't been "verified" Only have chat support, without any solutions to their lag time. Person in chat was extremely patronizing. Guess I am bank shopping again.

      Mobile deposit for $200 took 3+ days to go through and hold was not removed when site said it would be; company did not honor free funds up to $350 for registering direct deposit - I was notified Id been awarded $50 and that never happened; chat support unreliable; FAQs page unresponsive and doesnt load; customer service only 9-5 in pacific standard time

      I transferred x amount of my money to sofi account I just opened and all sudden there's a restriction and now that my $ is available I can't logg in. Telling me my password is wrong and that's a lie because I'm not stupid I only use 1 password for everything never once have I changed it. I even try resetting it just to see if I can get in and never get an email even if I was wrong but my password you still wouldn't be able login. I'm going to file a law suit against sofi for giving false/lies about my account login. Basically lying saying my password is wrong. You cant even reset it even If I was wrong. I'm give them 1 day to unlock my account or my lawyers and I will be getting way more then my own money I'm trying to access. So up-to you sofi. Horrible security system and customer service representatives are rude and seem miserable. Seems like you just hire anyone. Get you business together

      i transferred my *** from one company into SoFi and my money never showed up. I contacted customer service at both places and it was confirmed that Sofi received my money. I contacted SoFi's customer service on multiple occasions to find out where my money was and was told I was emailed and told I was not entitled to the money in my *** account and that is the only reason I got. I never got an email from them and when I contacted customer service again for the umpteenth time they told me I need to contact the security department that they can only tell me what their notes in their screen says. They can't transfer me to that department and I get nowhere when I call the number they gave me. They have $1600 of my money and they won't release it to me with no explanation. Someone has my money. How can they just tell me I am not entitled to it when I started the account with my own money?

      If you love your family, then don't die with SoFi.I'm dealing with closing accounts for a deceased relative and they have been the worst financial institution that I've dealt with ). The customer service is horrible. I've had to send the legal paperwork in multiple times to multiple people. After I send in the paperwork, they don't respond to emails and won't give me a phone number to call them back or even a ticket or case number. All their reps say is it is processing and they don't have a timeline (it's been over two months).If you are over 50, have any major medical issues, or just love your family then I would not recommend Sofi. Their "benefits" over a traditional bank are not worth it.

      This company was rude and very disrespectful through chatting. After admitting all my information was fine, they want to tell me to resubmit all my information again. I only wanted to mess with the company with small investments before I become completely committed to the company, which I am glad I did. Because they ****.
