Do NOT trust this company, save yourself the headache and don't get scammed like I did. I have been waiting nearly 3 months for the solar panels to be turned on after there was such a rush for me to sign the contract and get them installed. I only receive updates when I call my sales *** AND email my activation "specialist". The timeline that sales told me is so wildly different than what is going on it's laughable. I receive literally no updates besides "it's pending approval". How does it take so long to get approvals after these solar panels are installed? Right now I'm stuck with these panels and no green energy benefit as the customer support team likes to remind me it's breach of contract to have them removed.STAY AWAY FROM SUNRUN!Sunrun, Inc.

I have had Sunrun solar since mid 2022 but I had not used the Autopay feature which reduces the monthly payment by $$7.50. I decided to turn it on day before yesterday. Big mistake. I was behind by a few days on the current payment due which is $300/month. Next day they had taken $900 out of my checking account. I tried to get $300 back thru online chat but they wouldn't do it nor explain why they could charge me $900. They simply offered to send the complaint to a manager. I immediately turned off autopay. Since it would take time to go to court and be a lot of trouble will just delay the next payment.Sunrun, Inc.

First of all I want to say is run from sunrun this company's been awful since the beginning I moved to a property that already had sunrun installed so I had to get in the contract not even a year later wirings running to my panel from what they installed caught on fire almost burning down my property yet it's taking them about 2 years to try to fix anything and they're trying to place the blame on me all I'm left with is a high true up that I can't afford and them just bringing person after person just so nothing could get done it's awful the worst company out there stay away from them they don't get anything fixed even though they say they're going to. The issue is still not resolved. I would leave zero Stars if I could.Sunrun, Inc.

I was visited by 2 men at 7:00 pm this evening going door to door in my neighborhood. They claim to be from Sunrun but did not have identification name tags, uniforms or anything that identified them as Sunrun employees. I turned down their offer to discuss Sunrun energy options and asked them to leave. They were polite but persistent. They were advised that they should visit during daytime hours and not in the evening. This is the third Sunrun sales team to visit our residence in the last 6 months. The first sales person left a proposal that I turned down.Sunrun, Inc.

********- original complaint I am writing another complaint because we are still dealing with shady practices on the part of sunrun. We are on the verge of hiring a lawyer to sue this company. We had to have our solar panels taken down to get our roof replaced. We contacted sunrun to get this scheduled. The solar panels were taken down at the beginning of September and sunrun knew that our roof was being replaced on September 11th and the solar panels needed to be reinstalled. They did not inform us beforehand that our county requires a permit to put them back up or that it would take a couple of months to get that permit. If they had, we would have already made sure that was in the works. We have been in contact with sunrun regularly to keep apprised of the situation. They consistently gave us the run around though they were just not sending in the paperwork for the permit and they did nothing until we posted a complaint with the BBB on January 17th. They finally got someone out here to reinstall the solar panels on February 26th. We called February 27th to confirm everything is working and the guy tried to tell us it was working as of the 22nd, 4 days before they were reinstalled but we received a call from the contractor letting us know the system is not working. Also, because the panels have been sitting in our back yard for 6 months they are now covered with grime and they want to charge us another $700 on top of the $10k to clean them. This is beyond horrible customer service and our escalations expert ***** is doing the same sorry, theres nothing I can do as the regular contact. If I could leave zero stars I certainly would. I think they owe us a discount at the very least.Sunrun, Inc.

Salesman that convinced us to enter a contract with the system told us that we should no longer have an electricity bill because it will produce everything we use and then some that *** will buy back from us. What he failed to mention or include in the plans was that we would need a BATTERY that was NOT included in order to get these promised results. Went from paying almost nothing in the winter anyway and maybe $300 in the summer to paying the exact same amount of money PLUS the almost $170 bill to SunRun every month. These people prey on young homeowners and the elderly with empty promises and withheld information.Sunrun, Inc.

This company is the biggest mistake Ive ever made and I urge everyone to not get scammed and never purchase anything from them. Ive had issues with SunRun since they installed 24 panels and 2 batteries into my home. Prior to purchasing I was promised a 0$ bill from ****** after install because of how many panels/batteries I was buying. I have screenshots/proof of this promise through text that Ive sent them with no resolution regarding this issue, instead they just say I somehow consume more electricity than my 24 panels and 2 batteries can generate even though Im the only person that lives in my home. In addition, the person that promised me this BLOCKED MY PHONE NUMBER and whenever you contact customer care you get no help and just get transferred from person to person with a run-around for at least 2 hours. Ive asked them to please come get their equipment as I want nothing to do with this company and all they say is you cant because its a contract. Additionally, their equipment doesnt work, theyve had to send out technicians to my home three times now since August 2024 because their system always underperforms, causing my ****** **** to be even higher. Moral of the story, I now pay twice as much for electricity WITH solar panels than I did before I had them. I regret this company so much it is a constant nightmare.Sunrun, Inc.

I inadvertently got off auto payments and didnt pay my SUNRUN bill for three months. They billed me $389 which I paid but they took a double payment of $778 have been trying to get one of the payments refunded to me for over three weeks now!!! I have left voicemails and messages and nobody can tell me whether or not they are going to refund me and I am fuming since I live on Social Security.Sunrun, Inc.
