I have a 20 year lease on my solar panels with sunrun, after 12 years of constant production and credits at the end of the year I now have A $1000 bill due from ****** with no production for almost a whole year now. I have been trying to get a technician to fix my issue but they have neglected to make an appointment in a timely manner And continue to reschedule appointments delaying my service even further. Many customers complain of an inverter failure issue which I'm assuming is my issue. They do not have enough technicians to service the high desert in ********** and wait times for appointments are anywhere from 2 months to a year per my case. They have worded their contract in such a manner that no one can take them to court unless it's on their terms and conditions. I will never let any of my friends or family do business with Sunrun ever againSunrun, Inc.

1 star4 months for them to finally tell us that they couldn't do our solar.
Sunrun offers customers $1000 if they refer someone who gets solar through Sunrun. We were, so I said so at the start. They tried not to have to pay it.
At 1st home visit w Roman, He had a report on our homes' solar potential based on a satellite photo. He said that we would get about 50% of our power from solar because of trees. So he told us that they would remove trees for us. He said that we would have solar by the end of spring.
The next step was having a tech come to take photos of our electrical, drone footage and get measurements. It was Feb and it had just snowed so I asked if they would be able see well enough because our roof is white PVC and the snow is white. He said me it would be fine. They were wrong & had to send another tech out to do it again.
In our 2nd meeting, he said they would no longer be able to take down the trees. He couldn't answer our questions about the report.
For weeks, I called and texted with Roman while he still could not answer our questions. Then he ghosted us.
I called a couple of times, asking for a new sales person because he was not answering our questions and had already backed out on part of what they promised.
Instead of calling me back, the "Senior Regional Sales Director", Eric Goodell, called my husband. Which was rude as I had been the contact person.
He said that they would be getting back to me in a couple of days. He didn't for weeks. So I called Eric.
He didn't remember us so I had to go over it with him again & he said that he passed it back to Roman.
He then assured me that he was taking over & would handle it & he would fast track it since we had been waiting. He had lots of questions for me, all things that I had already answered many times.
When he finally got back to us saying that they couldn't do the solar at all because of our PVC roof. I asked why & he ghosted me. No explanation, no apology, no solar.Review fromKathy U

Nothing our sales *** told us was true. We were told there was a promotion where we would get a free year of solar. Didnt happen - were getting billed. We were told we would get a referral bonus. Didnt happen. We were told we wouldnt get a monthly electric bill from SCE , but we still get one and its almost the same as last year. We are paying for 110% production, but so far we havent had a day where the production is even 40% of what were using. We thought solar would save us money. Instead were now paying double of what it cost before solar. Would never recommend solar to anyone.Sunrun, Inc.

SunRun's billing department sends missed payment bills five days after confirming receipt of payment. Autopay function is selected and shown as activated but does not work. The situation has persisted for the last four months since activating their autopay function. The company's customer service is less than incompetent.Sunrun, Inc.

Just got off the phone with Pge and they told me to contact Sunrun to find out why my bill is so high because without the solar panels my bills was cheaper. Called sun run and they couldnt even explain stating I used more energy but when they looked at my past Pge bills they stated my bill and usage was cheaper. And I explained thats what I been trying to tell them. The first ******** service lady hung up on me because she was mad so I had to call back then thats when the guy stated that he doesnt understand why my bill is high other than more usage but my lifestyle hasnt changed. When I leased these solar panels a year ago the sales person stated the panels would be cleaned every 6 months and now they arent honoring what he said. It was cheaper to just stay with Pge and not get solar panels. Please be careful with sun run and the company very unprofessional. The sales people just want your money. They dont care about the ********s. All I want is someone to come look at the panels to make sure in person they are working right but again, they want to charge money. Everything is about money and no ******** service. I dont want to even give a star but have to put one. I would not recommend this company at all.Sunrun, Inc.

I would not recommend Sunrun and advise anyone considering to get solar panels from them to read very carefully what you are signing and calculate out what the actual cost of the system is over the term of the agreement. Once the panels are installed it is almost impossible to get out of without paying 10's of thousands of dollars. Sunrun really knows how to take advantage of a customer while presenting them with a offer that seems too good to turn down.Sunrun, Inc.

Sunrun failed us, plain and simple.What was supposed to be an upgrade turned into a constant source of stress, lies, and financial loss.We were promised lower bills and backup power for four rooms. That agreement is what made us say yes. But during the first blackout? None of the promised rooms turned on. We calledno help. Just Well call you back. They never did. Every update? We had to chase them for it.When the second blackout hit, we knew something was wrong. We called again. The *** told us everything looked fine from her end and dismissed our concerns. When I asked for a manager, she got rude, claimed to be one, then threatened to charge us over $600 for a service visit. We were told service was included. That was a lie. So was her title. She wasnt a manager at all.When the tech finally came, he confirmed none of the rooms were ever connected. The work we were paying for? Never done. And still, they charged us the full $600+. Then came the excuse: it couldnt be done because of sub panels, something they never once disclosed. If we had known that, we wouldve never agreed to anything.We were billed for months while the system wasnt working. They ***laced the converter four times before admitting the battery they gave us had known issues. And yes, they damaged our brand-new roof, then made us fight just to get it addressed.After everything, they had the nerve to offer $200 off the charge they never shouldve billed in the first place. Thats not customer service. Thats manipulation.This entire experience has been lies, gaslighting, and exhaustion. Sunrun sold us on trust, and broke it at every turn. What theyre doing isnt just wrong. Its deceptive, aggressive, and deeply unethical.We regret ever signing with them.Sunrun, Inc.

********. We needed a repair on our panels and roof before we sold our house. We told them we needed to have it done by May 7th and they told us many times they could. They didnt even get a roofer until May 6th and then had the roofer go out, didnt take off the panels for it to even be fixed. They then asked the roofer on May 9th if fixing the tiles would even fix the problem (it wont). They are unprofessional, unreliable, and have caused us to have to push back our closing date by several days. **************** is also horrible. I would NEVER recommend using them.Sunrun, Inc.

I have reviewed the previous complaints. It is true that more people will complain instead of complement when it comes to services. I have had quite the opposite experience. Now this goes back awhile but I had my solar panels installed June 6-7, 2018 and it was an excellent experience. The guys that did the job were awesome and a week later after *********** finally gave permission to activate the system, it has performed flawlessly. I signed up for this install through ****** and I don't know if that had anything to do with the install but I am totally happy with it. The only complaint I had was the high tear down and replacement cost while doing a roof replacement. After getting screwed by another contractor hired to do this during the roof replacement, I wished I would have just paid Sunrun for a job that would have been done right.Sunrun, Inc.
