I purchased a software cs6 disc 8 years ago. It's been working for 8 years. Now I get a pop up that it will be disabled unless I upgrade. This company is a scam. I have been in contact with them 7 times to resolve this issue. It has now become a form of harassment. Their customer support people are ignorant. Then they send you to self help. Not only have they wasted much of my time, but my websites and pictures are at stake. They are investigating non genuine software and using honest people to investigate. If you have this problem I suggest you contact the federal trade commission as they are fraudulent and trying to increase revenue illegally but threatening to disable a product you purchased. They can't suddenly disable a product I bought and ask for a monthly payment. It's a scam. I have CD's and DVD's and movies. They don't tell you after years you have to start paying for them monthly.

Terrible company. They were charging me five times a month for the same account and when I told them that they were doing that they denied it and then told me they were going to cancel my account and then still proceeded to charge me. I had to shut down both my bank account and my PayPal account to stop it. Their customer service is absolutely useless. FYI there's open source programs that do the exact same thing as Adobe without the rip-off.

My wife and I got scammed using their free trial as well. We were "enrolled" in an annual program, saw that we were being charged monthly, then had to pay an early cancelation fee of $70. They have good products, but this left a bad taste for sure.

Do not deal with this company, do whatever you can to avoid them. If you forget to cancel the free trial within 14 days, then youre locked in for at least a $100 early cancellation free. They hide all of this in the fine print so nothing can be done legally.

I also got scammed by Adobe's intentionally misleading so called cancellation system, that I'm fairly confident is not legally enforceable. I needed to quickly edit and combine some PDFs, and their online service seemed like an easy option using the free trial. However, I forgot to cancel it, so I got charged the first month. Unlike most subscription services, they immediately remove all subscription benefits as opposed to canceling them at the end of the pay period. Further, if you do not cancel within the first 14 days of the charge, they then have the gall to charge 5 more months worth of subscription costs (over $100), also without providing any membership benefits. This is somehow the first time I've ever had an issue like this with a subscription service. Adobe is a completely predatory company that everyone should avoid.

I enjoy Adobe programs such as Photoshop and others that allow you to do detailed artistry. Due to the world becoming digital it was learn it or fall behind as the old pen and paper method only get you so far. I have a few complaints regarding their company:My first complaint is youre locked into an annual contract times how ever many programs you wish to have active. Which adds up. Gone are the days of buying a cd then thats it until the computer becomes obsolete. Due to their price goughing no one but companies could afford their products. Average consumers could not. The mo fee allows consumers access to their program. Cancellation. Its a nuisance having to be locked into an annual contract. Adobe relies on its consumers forgetting abt the annual renewing to continue another year. In the past if you wanted to break contract you had to pay a certain percentage of the annual contract. Now its just an additional $10 to cancel it. Goodness at that point you might as well just spam your calendars to remind you the month before to cancel it. Many times Ill buy a month into it for a few times project then forget about it on my computer. Then have to pay for an annual contract instead of a once a month for a one time project. Adobe has had there system hacked too many times. More than once Ive had to declare my credit card stolen because their systems have been apparently easy to hack. Once I didnt even know about a data breach and started seeing fraud charges on my card. That was frustrating to fix. Not to mention it felt violating. Cant delete your credit card number from their server. Why does a payment have to be permanently locked to your file? When companies do this I have to declare it stolen then get a new one. Then go through the hassle of updating my accts. This was true a decade ago not sure about now.

Adobe would get five stars for their software. I love the software I purchased and use it frequently. However, I would give Adobe zeros stars for their customer service and the ability to easily contact someone knowledgeable at Adobe. That said, three stars is the overall rating. I purchased CDs for both Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I have been using that software without issue for a very long time on the same device. I now have new device and would like to continue using that software. I have the CDs that were purchased along with their serial numbers. That software was successfully loaded from the CD onto the device and it was fully operational. The problem is that Adobe has a built in feature requiring the software to be "activated" within thirty days of being loaded from the CD onto the device; however, **********************'s online "activation" system is no longer functional; therefore, it fails to complete the "activation". An error code 17:17 appears when attempting to perform the online activation. That code is not recognized on the Adobe website. Adobe (via the CD) provided a telephone number to perform a "telephone activation" as an alternate; however, that telephone is no longer operational. Adobe's website does not provide any other alternative or resolution for this issue. Therefore, Adobe is improperly preventing the continue use and enjoyment of the purchased software. The software is paid for and as the payee of that software, I would like to continue to use and enjoy that said software. Adobe should offer a resolution for this issue to allow the continued use and enjoyment of the software. There must be a way to either 1) "activate" the software, 2) override the need to "activate" it and/or 3) eliminate the need to "activate" it.

I purchased the Adobe Creative Suite a few years ago, and despite my efforts to cancel the subscription, each year they continue to charge me, and I have to reach out to the their customer service and jump through several hoops--rather than letting you terminate your account, you get passed from representative to representative, all of them with a different sales pitch to try to keep you on the hook. This has literally been going on since the pandemic. I also don't understand how they are able to get charges through on a bank card that is expired. I am taking that up with my bank, but STEER CLEAR of ADOBE. You'd think it's a legitimate business, but they are truly the worst subscription based company I've gotten tangled ** in.

They charged us for many months when we did not use the product. I talked to a representative and they promised to refund us a total of $508. After that they continued to charge us each month. They then claimed they issued the full refund. Terrible customer service!!! They would not issue the refund.
