One star is too many. I was charged for a subscription I cancelled years ago and the computer that used McAfee has been out of use for 10 years. When I saw a charge in 2022, I called to cancel. I did not receive a credit. I saw a charge come through in 2023, called again. I was on hold for over 30 minutes, then got disconnected. I called back, provided the service number. The rep said he sent an email with refund # to an account that is on their records. I told him that email was not active, he rudely stated that the information about the email account would have been nice to have known. When I said he was not very friendly **************** and that I would be reporting McAfee to the BBB because of the charges and poor ****************, he said I was a rude customer. The website does not allow customers to edit their accounts or remove credit cards. I believe this is to force customers to call service and probably give up due to the poor service. Finally, the past charges I see in my statements are done with different **** numbers. I did not authorize or provide any other **** numbers than the one I put in the account. I absolutely feel I was scammed by this company on top of rude ineffective ****************.McAfee, LLC

I AM A FORMER SUBSCRIBER TO MCAFEE'S ANTIVIRUS AND TOTAL SECURITY AND LIVE-SAFE SOFTWARE, BUT I WAS UNSATISFIED BECAUSE MC AFEE WAS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE A FIREWALL THAT WAS ACTIVELY WORKING, BUT THEY KEPT SAYING THEY WERE "WORKING ON IT." I UNSUBSCRIBED. BUT MC AFEE KEEPS SENDING ME EMAIL SAYING I NEED TO RENEW. I HAVE SPOKEN IN PERSON ON THE ***** TO TELL THEIR AGENT I DO NOT WANT TO RENEW, AND PLEASE TO REMOVE MY NAME AND ADDRESS FROM THEIR MAILING, REMINDER, RENEWAL LIST. THEY MAKE IT VERY HARD FOR ME TO STOP THIS EMAILING, WHICH IS A GREAT NUISANCE. I HAVE SPOKEN TO "LIVE CHAT," "VIRTUAL ASSISTANT," AND A REAL "LIVE" REPRESENTATIVE, BUT THEY MAKE IT VERY, VERY HARD FOR ME TO GET MY NAME OFF THEIR EMAIL LIST. McAfee has been sending me pop *** many times a day. I keep xing them out but I am tired of seeing the red pop ***. I want to be off their list permanently. This is a great annoyance to me. 1 starOn X-XX-XX McAfee automatically renewed. That was ok. but in very late August I started having issues with laptop with ******* on it. When I contacted ******* about refund they told me I could not get a refund because it had bee more than 60 days since renewal, part of that time laptop was still working. They offered to transfer coverage to another device but I don't need or want coverage. The laptop in question is dead and not being used. People I talked with did not offer to escalate my issue. I feel it is very unfair that McAfee gets to keep my entire renewal amount which I am not using. If there were a rating of minus 5 stars I would have given them that ratingReview fromTiffany P

Twice in one month this company auto-withdrew money from my account that I did not give permission for.
After the first instance I thought we had resolved the issue they stated my account would be refunded with in 5 business days. On the 5th business day and no refund, I felt lead to check my email and they had sent a message stating, "I needed to contact them to resolve or my issue would be dismissed." I immediately called them back and explained that to my understanding the issue had been resolved and inquired why they had not refunded my account. I had to wait another 5 business days to receive my refund. This morning it happened AGAIN**
I never gave permission for McAfee to auto withdraw ANY funds from my account and this repeated action has disrupted my financial obligations.
I am very upset and hope that this complaint reaches someone in this organization that WILL address this unfortunate issue.McAfee, LLC

Beware - my card for autorenewal had expired. I was not aware but would have gladly updated the account had I known. They somehow charged another card I had not authorized on my McAfee account from a different bank altogether. Very scary when the company you are paying to protect you charges an unauthorized bank account for renewal. Is McAfee allowed to steal my bank account info? I spoke at length with McAfee **************** and they thought this was ok policy. :( This should be illegal right?McAfee, LLC

I keep going over and over this with this company. They send e-mails stating thank you for your purchase of $499.00 and the charge will show up on my bank statement in 2 days. I just called them a week or 2 ago and cussed them out and here again I get another e-mail. It is hard to communicate with the language barrier and it s so frustrating not being able to communicate.
