      You cannot pay off loans early with this company unless you show up in person or mail a check. The website explicitly blocks daily, weekly, and monthly payments above certain levels. They just want to milk the interest and make it hard for you to pay out. So super shady. Stay away.

      I have had an account with them for years, for my credit card and a car payment. I have never been late, and have actively paid down every balance accrued. They are now closing my account which will ruin my credit with 0 remorse. I would reconsider doing business with them as they do not care. I have no late payments on any account across the board and the note they provided is fraudulent. I will never do business with them again.

      I have been receiving letters in the mail from First Tech about someone trying to open an account using my information. The first letter was a letter of resolution for identity theft that I reported? I called the only number they have on the internet and waited on hold for almost ********************************************************* to fill out the form sent which was asking for all of my personal information.I told them I would not do that and again informed them it is not me and to close the account if there was one opened.I again called back today because yet another letter came on the mail saying since I didnt fill out all the personal info the they were going to go ahead and open the account? This representative said it was not opened but since I didn't fill out the info my credit score would be affected. I asked to speak with a manager and he sounded like he was typing on a keyboard for at least 10 minutes not talking at all. He said he was putting in a complaint? There is no way this is a reputable Credit Union it sounded like someone at their house just waking up.

      I use First Tech as a source for my car loan and the associated checking account happens to be attached to my paypal account. When a charge went through paypal that i wasn't expecting, the checking account went into overdraft. First Tech charged me 10 overdraft fees over the course of a month. Over $300! They said that they'd notified me by mail of the overdraft, but I didn't get any of these letters. I asked them to reverse the fees as soon as I found the problem (and corrected the overdraft), but they only refunded $30 and blamed me for the problem. DONT USE THIS BANK, they are basically thieves.

      I have not been able to access my accounts for a week- both online desktop webpage and app have been down for days. Despite the name, this is not a company that prioritizes technology. They definitely don't prioritize their customers and customer experience.

      I should of read their BBB page before opening an account. Clearly they are not a company you want to be doing business with. I'm not sure if they are either incompetent at running a bank or just intentionally running a modern scam to get unavoidable interest fees out of members. Realistically it's the latter but then again with ******************* in recent news, both could be likely. Signed me up for a credit card with a 0% rate for 18 months. Sure why not, I can make more money leaving what I would of used to pay off the card in a HYSA and then just pay off in month ***************************************************************** month 12 they send an email about a new promotion where interest is only x% for 18 months for balance transfers so again why not do it if I'm making X+1% keeping the balance in a HYSA. But then once you sign up, reality sinks in and your realize they baited you. Now all your future payments go into the balance you transferred because it has a higher APR than the initial 0% sign up promo and you have no way of paying off the 0% balance early which means you have two paths now. Pay everything off to get out of the scam (meaning the original 18months promised was a lie) or wait until the 18mo promo ends before paying of your new transfer promo (by only paying the minimum) but then you'd be hit with a big fee for having a balance after 18months (because again its the only way to make that amount a higher APR than the new promo rate). Called and complained and called them out on the deceptive practice and they said there was nothing they could do. To which I told them you could stop scamming people by not offering promos when there are clearly conflicting and active 0% promos on the card. But of course that would mean them not making money off fees so you know that feedback wont be taken.Don't do business with them, if its not that scam they get you with, it'll be something else based of the rest of these unanimous 1 star ratings.

      A charged was fraudulently posted in my credit card. I contacted First tech and they said they would investigate. After a month and no response I decided to reach out to them and the rep told me that they would work on it and I have not to worry about being charged interest and that because the charge is under investigation NO INTEREST WILL BE CHARGED on it and its probably better for me to call the merchant directly. The rep said that if any interest is charged from the fraudulent amount it would be reversed once the merchant returns the funds to the card. Effectively I called the merchant and after an investigation, they apologized and returned the funds to the card. It was only $85 and about 2 dollars of interest was charged from the First tech. My final balance was about 2 dollars after the merchant returned the funds. I called the about the interest and they said that under NO circumstances they will get rid of the interest and that I HAVE TO PAY IT. I explained the situation but they wouldnt listen. They said that its not their concern and that regardless if it was fraudulent I gotta pay the interest. I paid the interest and closed the card. For those of you considering to get First tech credit cards and other services watch out. Can you imagine the mess I would be in if interest was a large amount because someone maxed out my card. Also their account statements/records policy is terrible. I have been with them for years in a joint account with my partner and she is the primary joint owner on our accounts. I needed a verification of deposit letter totaling the balance on all my accounts and they said that they cant give it to me because Im not the primary owner and that I need my partner on the phone. I told the rep that this is my account where I deposit all my paychecks and that all my banking history is tied to these accounts but she said NO. So I literally dont have any banking history because first tech decided that joint owners are NOT OWNERS.

The information provided about the dispute was accurate and the representative corrected the dispute because it wasnt initially submitted correctly. The transaction you were disputing is not considered fraudulent because you provided the merchant with your authorization for a trial period. When we submitted the dispute to the merchant, it was denied because they didnt deem it fraudulent. The error with the transaction occurred on the merchants side which you were able to determine with them. During the time it took for them to credit your account, interest accrued. The representative that was looking into the interest charge for you to determine if it could be waived as a courtesy failed to follow up with you before you closed the credit card. Im truly sorry that we were not able to uncover that lack of follow up until after you closed the card as we could have taken steps to resolve it. I will send you a follow up email regarding this.The issue with the Verification of Deposit statement that you requested has also been reviewed and it was determined you were provided incorrect information by our representative. A joint owner can request a verification of deposit at any time without the primary account owners authorization. Management has addressed this with that representative and will update the policy to ensure its clear to all employees. I sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience that phone call caused you. Please know we strive to provide excellent service and genuinely regret were learning lessons at the expense of your experience.If you have any questions, please reply to the email that I sent to you.       Inept Credit Union!Applied for the 0% interest credit card, was initially approved and then I get an email that I am ineligible to become a member. I will be sent a letter with a phone number to call to find out why. CS cannot help. Over a month later and still no letter. Called and still cannot tell me why, told they will resend the letter with the phone. I finally see the letter on the website and the phone number is the regular customer support number!! Didn't get a clear answer as to why I was ineligible. I was told I could reapply but since it's over 30 days they would do another hard credit pull.A waste of a credit inquiry, the credit union's ineptitude has caused me a lot of stress.I wish I had seen this site before I applied
