Return policy is horrible. Did not open the product until few months after purchase because I did not need immediately and figured after $650 being spent surely it would be ok. I opened it to find multiple issues during setup to where I had to call tech support and was on phone for 3 hours with no solution. I asked for a refund and after almost 2 months of back and forth am told that 30 days return is policy No Exceptions! Not shocked at all that Netgear is not credited with BBB. Poor customer service and handling of customers. They don't care about future business or how their decisions impact your life.NETGEAR

I ordered directly from NETGEAR, on September 10, 2024, an Orbi 770 Series Triband WiFi 7 mesh system 11 Gbps, 3 pack (RBE773). It took a few weeks to get this set up, and it became clear that nothing was connecting to the system via the Orbi satellites. All devices on the WiFi, many close to a satellite, connected back to the router. Many of my devices, because of being on the far side of the router compared to a satellite, had weak signals. After doing all my own trouble shooting, like resetting the system, reinstalling the system, etc., I contacted support on November 27th 2024. Since then, as requested by various support people, I have spent countless hours on the phone, submitted 25 emails and a total of 42 attachments of screenshots of the setup, connection status etc. But no resolution. You get put on hold, passed on, and finally told someone will get back to you, which doesnt happen. BUY NETGEAR AT YOUR PERIL. The system I have certainly doesnt work, and likely very few do. Buyer beware. You cant get (effective) support, you cant get your money back, and you cant get a replacement that works.NETGEAR

I totally reject the concept that one is expected to buy support, when the reason that the period of complimentary support (30 days) has expired is due to Netgear being unable to timeously resolve the issue. Netgear burned up 2 weeks by asking for data, (25 emails with 42 attachments submitted, 8 hours on the phone) and then passing the case to others, who also couldn't resolve the issue. And the person one is passed onto asks for much of the same data that has already been submitted! You are told you will be called back, but nothing. Playing for time - delaying - to try and force people to buy customer support they shouldn't need and don't want, smells like a scam. This well within the 30 day for complimentary. support. This gave Netgear 2 weeks to resolve the issue. It's December now 20 and the original problem remains. Why would anyone purchase support when support takes two weeks to accomplish nothing. It is clear it must be a hardware problem. The unit is guaranteed for 1 year. Why would netgear not replace it? Netgear has a hidden scam within its business. After your first year of having it, your support ends. If you need to reset your Admin password or reset general modem, you are forced to go to Netgear Genie link which has a broken "next" button that multiple customers have complained about. ********************** refuses to fix the button and tells you you have to pay $200 to have tech support help them instead of them fixing their own website. They try to scam you by having a glitched website. I will never buy Netgear again with this hidden scam and poor service. Customers should not be charged for their disfunctional website. ****** searches will show all the customer complaints about the next button not working.NETGEAR

Was having an issue with one tv in our home with the vpn and proxy call net gear for help because spectrum told us it was a net gear issue. Net gear wanted us to pay them for the support I knew it was probably an easy fix. My husband and I are not tech savvy. But I was not going to pay when u can go get a new one instead. So I told my husband lets just unplug it let it set for a few min and it fixed it. So basically thats what they wanted us to pay for Net gear customer service *****.NETGEAR

According to multiple reviews, Netgear customer service is often criticized for long wait times, unhelpful representatives, and difficulty resolving issues, with many users reporting frustration with their experience, especially when dealing with complex technical problems or warranty claims; some even consider it to be "poor" or "a scam" due to alleged attempts to upsell extended support plans even when the issue could be easily resolved. This company denied my access to the internet jeopardizes my home and livelihood because o work from home due to me not having internet. That is illegal to do a denial of secvice to the internet because you are seeking funds for security fees that you are not transparent about. If I would have known and was notified of the security features I would have not problem paying them but to stop my internet because of them. And have unsatisfactory tech support that lies and dont return phone calls is not rightNETGEAR

And today 11/26/2024, another case was opened ******** as you can not connect your device using LAN. Our support technician, prepare to troubleshoot and asked you to open the command prompt but you refuse to continue and call was disconnected.Please note that NETGEAR products that are purchased from an authorized reseller has a complementary warranty of support for 90 days and 365 for hardware. Once this expire and you encounter issues with your device and contacted ********************** for assistance, our support technician will offer to purchase the ProSupport Premium warranty subscription after they help you troubleshoot the device when the complimentary warranty has expire. Please note that the service they are offering is support warranty not security.

I've purchased a Netgear series quad set for well over ******* dollars brand new in the box and went through all the warranty process when setting up and now have a broken/default Satellite under the one year warranty after 5 months! I've contacted the company now over a week ago and answered an submitted all the pictures they have asked for along with the item's serial number which will show warranty time on the unit do to the activation. The company Netgear still has no answer for me and has not tried at all to replace the faulty unit. The whole reason we buy these large units at this price is for the coverage on large properties! I have had no service in areas of my property for over a week with a warranty item I cant seem to get! I would like to recommend this company but the way an time frame for this company handling this warranty has been unacceptable especial for the prices we pay for this product. The part that makes it so inexcusable is the fact you will refurb the product an resell it bottom line so why am I the consumer left holding the bag along with my service, time , and patience being tested?
