I pay annual 'Plus' membership for Emergency Roadside Assistance specifically and twice have not received assitance when i called. Last time was on 6/25/23, i called their 800 number and after 2 hours was still waiting for them to find me assistance. I finally called 511 and recieved assitance thru them

If you have home insurance with AAA, please review your policy and please find another carrier. Our home insurance with AAA is horrible. Their response to our issue is at a snail pace. Our water heater has gone out and has caused water damaged within our home. We reached out to AAA and they did send a couple of restoration companies out, but they did not authorize a replacement water heater nor a temporary water heater. We have now been without hot for 3 days, which is unacceptable. When we attempted to contact claims adjuster, ***************** and contact his Supervisor, *******************, the calls go straight to voicemail. Once this process is over, we are going to shop for a different home insurance carrier. If you have AAA as your home insurance carrier, I advise you do the same.

don't deal with AAA homeowners insurance alone. They will take advantage of your lack of knowledge, hire an attorney or a private claims adjuster as soon as possible. and do your homework before filing a claim.

Recently made complaint re battery replacement . Strongly felt driver had duped me into Paying for new battery whilst old one still under warranty. In addition he charged an extra fee for installation under the guise it was more complicated. When I had time to call my dealer and verify battery comments/installation charges; I found him to be giving me false information and that my warrant was good. I complained to AAA and they investigated. They sent me total reimbursement within 2 weeks. They did not argue nor try to prove me wrong. It would appear their contracted drivers are on commission?..only reason I do not give 5 stars is that they need to check their service people.

My father has been a member since ****. Due to his age he gave my niece his car on April 8, 2023 and utilized the *** services at the *********** **. location. The clerk who processed this transaction however made two major mistakes. The first one was they made a mistake on the odometer reading and also didnt stop his auto policy as he would no longer be driving any car. Many calls were made to try to fix the mistake. My niece lives in **** and was told she would have to drive back to California for an employee to verify the actual mileage on the car and ************* would take 6 months to investigate their mistake!I also called and was told by an employee I would need to give my niece form Reg 101 from the *** but instead opted to be transferred to *** **********. The employee at *** told me the form was wrong that the ********* employee suggested, my niece could have Highway Patrol verify mileage and once *** has the forms the timeline to fix everything is only 3 months not 6!Sadly the manager is too busy to call me regarding the mistake and *** also called several times. My niece also has lost the ability to sell her car due to the mistake and is still waiting for a resolution.

I've been a AAA member for 44 years. On May 8 2023 I called for a tow, and was told that I used my allotment of contacts and would have to pay $90. I said ok and was told a tow truck would arrive by 11 AM. Truck driver didn't arrive. and at 11:30 I called AAA to ask what is happening. I was told that because I would br paying for tow, to call towing company. Upon calling towing company was told I had to go through AAA to request tow. I then called a local towing company who arrived in 15 minutes. This towing company charged me $120, or $30 more than AAA stated.Subsequently, I asked AAA to reimburse me $30. They refused to do so. Therefore after 44 years with AAA I cancelled mt membership. AAA took a so what attitude.Think twice before joining AAA .

Look elsewhere for home insurance. AAA basically will work together with field estimators to lie, further damage, and deny any claim payouts. Had water come in through the walls and ruined drywall, baseboard, and flooring because of recent storms in California. We got a mitigation company to come out and tear down the damaged parts and left fans with dehumidifiers running. AAA hired a field estimator who came out who KNOCKED OVER THE DEHUMIDIFIER so that all the water came pouring out. He didnt inform us of this and we had the area sealed off and didnt see it when he left by himself, thus it was not discovered until the mitigation company came back out. Of course when that was discovered (just 15 mins after), the first response from the mitigation company was to clean it up. Of course that water spilled ruined basically the rest of the living room and we had to take out the rest of the floors. When this was reported to AAA they basically said theres no evidence because theres no pictures of the machine being knocked over. I mean when you see a giant machine knocked over your first instinct would be to fix it and clean it up and not take a picture of the machine on the floor??? The field inspector of course denied all of this and further in his report there were inaccurate statements about the timing, damages, and even structures that were involves. I walked the inspector through everything that happened and watched him take notes - none of which accurately made it onto the report. And of course I left him alone for less than 5 minutes at the end to take pictures and he caused severe damage to our house - all of which he and AAA denies. So if you HAVE to deal with them make sure you video record the entire thing or else they will just go back and make up lies. Been a loyal customer for over a decade now and has bundled so many types of insurance with them, now in the processing of looking elsewhere.

I replaced the batteries in my Lexus and ****** Sequoia SUV within three weeks of each other witb AAA batteries. Within six months both batteries had bad cells and had to be replaced. Since this would seem to exceed random probability I decided to simply junk the batteries instead of initiating a warranty claim and replace the batteries with batteries from the respective dealerships. Both dealerships indicated that AAA batteries are not reliable.

Do not use AAA for insurance!!If you are in an accident with another AAA policy holder, they will pull shady things to ensure they pay out the absolute least possible to the not at fault party.AAA did not apply my underinsured motorist coverage to my property damage. They attempted to "silence," me by allowing me to retain posession of the totaled vehicle; however, I have not been able to sell it for it's current value totaled, which was $4,175. My policy covered $100,000, and I was only paid out the California state minimum coverage, of $5,000. My car's loan was $14,000 at the time of the accident; however, the car was valued with additions to it at $15,249. As well as a top notch stereo system valued over $3000. I have paid $4,854 in car payments since the settlement, and still owe over $7,000 on the vehicle which has cause extreme financial hardship for me the past two years considering the high interest payments. I also am still having to pay out of pocket for chiropractic care, and had to buy a new vehicle, which cost me $4500 in order to have transportation to and from work.
