Good luck trying to get any information regarding refunds after being denied, after being approved and paying. Zero explanation or details other than the blanket statements they give everyone. Bass ackwards way of doing business and I'm now glad I was denied after seeing all the horror stories and lawsuits. Good luck Byte.Byte

Thank you for sharing this review. We will be happy to explain a bit more about Byte reviewal process. For starters, clear aligner therapy is not for everyone which is why here at Byte we have a strict approves process to ensure the safety and success of every treatment. There may be many reasons for denied candidacy such as, an over/under bite, too many gaps, or simply sever crowding. These limitations will not allow our dental team to move forward with creating a treatment plan and if already purchased the aligners and still denied a full refund will be issues for the Impression kit and aligner order. The refund may take up to **** business days.

Scam,Actually, to be truthful when I wore upper and lower together it actually made my bite worse. I wore the first 2 levels together for at least 2 weeks and my bottom teeth started to push against the back of my upper teeth and I could not close my mouth. It was hard to eat and chew for hours because of the space i had between upper and lower molars. Once I stopped wearing the bottom my bite went back to normal meaning straight up instead of out and my molars were able to connect back again so I could eat only wearing the upper. This is why DID NOT WANT TO FIX BOTH. Wearing both caused more problems the support team did not actually listen to me and allowing me to just wear and purchase uppers. I told them in email, text and phone. Also, the team did not read statements or go back and read previous conversations and get caught up with what I was asking for and saying. I was never given the option to buy upper only. I was told they would be shipped regardless. 1 they to update the offers I did not get and 2 correct the language to customers.Byte

The feeling that your bite is "off" while undergoing orthodontic treatment is quite normal - in fact, it occurs in roughly 85% of all people who wear aligners or undergo any orthodontic treatment. This "off" feeling is because your bite is beginning to adjust to the thickness of the aligners between your teeth. When you take the aligners out, the bite may feel "off" since the aligners no longer occupy that space between your upper and lower teeth. This feeling will be particularly pronounced if you happen to clench your teeth. In addition, the feeling is rarely ever symmetrical - one side will often feel more off than the other. The feeling will gradually disappear once you're completed or near-completing your treatment. As for single-arch treatment, this must be approved by our Dental team for the aligner purchase. Not every customer can qualify for single arch treatment as our customer's safety is a top priority. They allocate a significant portion of their budget to the sales team, so be mindful of this when considering a purchase from them.Initially, when I sought information about their product, I encountered a hard sell, a clear red flag. Despite continuous calls and texts for addressing queries or concerns, it became apparent that their primary focus was on processing payments. Once the transaction was completed, their commitment seemed to wane, and they operated like drones within the organizationdoing the minimum to fulfill their promises while forcing me to jump through countless hoops.In the first year, I had to request three sets of molds because the aligners didn't fit properly after a certain point. A particular troublesome tooth resisted movement, causing the aligners to become ineffective. This led to a frustrating cycle of taking pictures, contacting customer service, obtaining a new impression kit, and receiving new alignersessentially resetting the progress from the initial five weeks.While acknowledging my own lapse in commitment, the following experiences prompted me to share this review. Despite their persistent emails and texts over two years, I recently re-engaged with them, hoping for positive changes within the company. However, upon reaching out today, they demanded an additional $700 as a re-entry fee, bringing the total cost to $2500 with no visible results. I declined, unwilling to invest more money without assurance.When I brought up their 'lifetime guarantee,' they clarified that it only applies after completing all alignersan arrangement conveniently favoring them. Their business model seems to thrive on incomplete results, a cunning strategy indeed.I've decided to discontinue my efforts. While I understand they're not solely responsible, my frustrations have led me to this point. I hope this review serves as a cautionary note for others. It would be gratifying to witness a class action lawsuit against this company in the future.Byte

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE! STAY AWAY!I was texting with my Byte "Advisor" as she was trying to get me to apply for Byte pay. I applied and after finding out that it would be $100 month for 3 years, $1200 of which was interest, I said no, twice, that I didn't want to continue with the order. No reply. Next thing I know the kit shows up at my door and I now have a $3600 credit line opened with $100 monthly payments due. It has taken me 3 days and hours of hold time and I still have not been able to speak to a single person that can solve this. Furthermore, while the Byte representative was speaking to me and trying to get ahold of my advisor named *********, she is texting me while he is saying she is unavailable. She tells me there is a strict no refund policy. It's like they are intentionally avoiding speaking to me on the phone because they know they screwed up. Worst customer service experience of my life. So finally, the representative tells me they are going to send me a return shipping label and refund me. Well thats not enough at this point. I need to speak with upper management about how this has been handled and once again they just are not available. The rep on the phone can speak with them but not me, the customer. I was placed on probably 30 to 40, "3-5 minute holds" that were more like 10 minutes minimum. This just comes off scammy and I highly suggest everyone steer clear of this garbage. Side note: I've heard horror stories after looking into them deeper about how their aligners move your teeth too quickly and are too aggressive which is how they get these quick 5 month turnaround times while real braces take about 3 times that long. STAY AWAY! Moving your teeth too quickly can make them fall out!!!Byte

I used the Byte dental service for six months. At each check-in, I expressed concerns that my lower front teeth, which have a permanent aligner, were not moving and they kept pushing my upper front teeth out when I ate. This was creating greater spaces than when I started. They told me this would adjust as the service proceeded. It did not. I now have major (Class III) movement and bone loss in pre-molar to pre-molar (all front upper teeth). I've now been advised that many dentist, if not a majority, strongly advise against at-home dental procedures. Byte created aligners to accommodate my permanent retainer. I advised them, in the pre-admission survey, that I had a lower retainer. Their only response was - "It's in the *** that we recommend removing a permanent retainer." I'm looking at having to get dentures and $40,000+ in dental repair. AWFUL!Byte

ZERO STARS!!! Stay as far away from this company.The only thing half way decent are the customer service reps. **** then, its a pointless conversation because there never seems to be an answer to anything i can look into that and then i will send you a follow up email on your next steps. Then the email makes you go through and answer the same questions they should already have on file from what you JUST answered while on the phone.2. My bite is now unnatural. No corrections after 1.5 years.3. The payments are done through a third party and then sent over to a fourth party and you cant get into your 3rd party ; ****************** account to access your payments because everything was sent to a 4th party account that you dont have a login for. (this is not user error. This is a fault on the company because they dont tell you your payment info is sent to a 4th party after creating all the accounts + logins.) ITS A HEADACHE AND A PAIN IN THE ASS!!4. I demanded a refund after 1.5 yrs because this was a waste of time, money, and was damaging my teeth. Per my primary dentist : stop this treatment immediately.Once they agreed to a 50% refund, they told me the turn around time would be ***** days. I waited 21 days and when i called for an update, i was told to contact (3rd and 4th party). Both companies told me no refund was submitted. Emailed again & for the second time Byte stated my refund was now submitted. 15 days after that (over a month since byte said they issued the refund) i called the other parties. 3rd party told me to contact 4th party. 4th party told me to contact Byte & so on. It was a RUN AROUND. 20 days later, 4th party told me the refund was showing submitted but was DENIED REFUND BY BYTE FOR REASONS UNK. Called Byte for the 5th time about this and they will look into this and be in contact in 4-6 business days. LIVID IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. From start to finish, this is a terrible company. I have no idea how they are still operating.Byte

As our Byte treatment is more independently guided than traditional orthodontics, there's more freedom to monitor your own treatment while still following the guidelines provided by the Byte Support Team.
This said we do need to have check-in policies in place to ensure that our customers achieve their treatment goals.Without the opportunity to evaluate the treatment needs chairside, Byte requires photos to review the progress. Photos allow us to determine whether the aligners are fitting well and whether the teeth are moving according to plan. They also help us to identify any areas of concern that might impact treatment down the line.
At times, even with traditional orthodontic appliances such as metal braces, it is necessary to adjust the treatment plan or take some steps back to focus on the proper movements with more time. This is because everyone's anatomy is different, and some teeth will not always move as predicted.
If this happens, Byte is proud to offer our Aligner Guarantee; which will always provide additional aligners at no charge to help one achieve the projected final smile so long as the treatment guidelines have been followed.
As for any payment plans, these are financed through a 3rd part company which allows you to make the purchase and conduct the month payment to their payment portal. Unfortunately for customers privacy we have no access to these payment portals other than initiating a refund to the 3rd party company if ever approved for one.

I'm super happy with byte. I will say to get ahold of someone through their direct number is bs but I was given a personal assistant that I didn't realize they did through text messages. I realized what the text was, texted back and an assistant helped fast. I then got to talk to the person over the phone. I can see my balance online from the paperwork I was sent to login with. It seems more of, listening to them and doing as they show you really helps. Not being mean, I didn't listen the best, why I didn't realize things at the beginning cause this is a crash course for newbies. I've had great progress. I'm on month 2.5.So happy I did this. I followed everything to *** asked questions and so far so good. I've got a snaggle tooth, well actually hardly anymore. I'm not embarrassed to smile anymore.Byte

This place is absolutely terrible. I ordered the impression kit and the next morning the orthodontist I went to informed me I have to have braces instead. I'm now scheduled for actual real braces January 4th. They will have to file my teeth where there is such sever crowding. I contacted the sales rep for Byte via text and email and told him to cancel the impression kit. The sales rep replied it was cancelled but it's not. I've called, text, chat, and emailed and no reply about why it wasn't cancelled. I'm okay with paying for the impression kit anyways but what's the deal with why they wont just cancel and stopped it from sending? You cannot reach this company and the number either disconnects or they ask you to leave a message and then drops the call. BUYER BEWARE!!! I'm so fortunate my orthodontist informed me I would not be a candidate. I would be so upset if I would have gave them $2300.00 and couldn't reach them if an issue came up. This place is nothing short of a scam.Byte
