      I have been on the Byte program for 15+ Weeks now. I have been wearing my aligners basically any time I am not eating and I only eat one time a day. I have been updating when asked with no more than a few days late, which I made up with duration. One of my lateral incisors started gapping at step 8 (I didn't notice) So when I went to order the rest of my aligners I would told to go back until there is no gaps and it is confortable. So my uppers are back on Step 8 and my lowers on Step 15. I absolutely feel that ********************** is not paying attention to uploaded photos UNTIL IT IS WAY TOO LATE! I have tried calling support and emailing and I can't get any solid answers. These aligners are fine, But if I knew I was going to be on my own I would have paid extra for a more reputable company.

As your Byte treatment is more independently guided than traditional orthodontics, there's more freedom to monitor your own treatment while still following the guidelines provided by the Byte Support Team. The progress photos are  saved on file so if any customer reaches out with aligner fit issues our team will already have photos of each step on hand to properly evaluate the fit and progress. They are not reviewed weekly when uploaded only when an issue is brought to our attention. While we understand taking a few steps back is a delay in the treatment this will be beneficial to ensure you are on the right track to the intended end results.       I would not recommend Byte. What originally appeared to be great customer service and product turned out to be an expensive disaster. 5 weeks in I wake up with a cracked tooth. I was only able to wear my aligners 36 days and they were paid in full! Now Im having to have a crown thats costing more than my Byte treatment. When I reached out to customer service it was a back and forth fiasco. I was instructed by Bytes customer service to just cut my current aligners down with mail clippers around the tooth and that if I have dental work during my process, Im voiding my guarantee. Unable to get a refund after 5 weeks of treatment and I need to cut my aligners and file them down. I dont think anybody would be comfortable putting aligners back on after a nearly $2000 dental bill. Highly recommend seeking other options.

      I have resorted to writing this review because I feel I have exhausted all of my other options. Since the beginning, this treatment has been a nightmare. I was told in the very beginning over the phone by someone That I could do my treatment on just my top teeth because that's where my concerns were. Once I started the process of signing contracts etc I was told that I had to do the treatment on both my top and bottom teeth. That was the first red flag for me, it felt like I was lied to just to be recruited or "sold". Throughout the treatment, I suffered from really bad migraines, and having the hardware in my mouth was impossible. My migraines caused me a lot of neck and jaw pain. The aligners also caused a lot of tension headaches because they always felt like they did not fit correctly. I reached out about the fit many times and was never fully helped. I expressed a few times that I wanted to discontinue treatment and get a refund and was told I was not able to. When I got pregnant with my daughter I suffered for 6 months with excessive nausea and vomiting which also made treatment impossible. I expressed again I wanted to stop and they kept pushing me to continue and only use it at night when I was not throwing up. I expressed again that I was not a good candidate, I was seeing no changes and I was disappointed in the lack of results. Fast forward some time, I went to get a second opinion from a well-known orthodontist in my community and he mentioned that I should have never been approved as a candidate for byte because I have an excessive overbite and too much crowding on my top jaw. I spoke to Byte about it and they requested a note for proof but unfortunately, my ortho won't provide that for fear of being sued by Byte. Not to mention, this got dragged out for years because getting in touch with someone in CS is nearly impossible, and when you ask for calls they continue to email you and then take days to reply. TAKE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE.

      RUNAROUND. I've been wearing the night-only aligners for over 2 years now, and there is still a long way to go on straightening my lower teeth. The disastrous portion of the treatment is the patient/customer service. Either a) their CRM system is horrendous, b) they are completely disorganized or c) they intentionally give you the run around to make you give up. They kick you around between agents that don't seem to read the history of the communications, ask for the same pictures over and over, and eventually they ask you to start a service request over again. It's truly unfortunate and very upsetting.

There are many reasons treatment timelines may be extended from the initial estimate, as there is no way to predict with 100% certainty how one will respond to treatment, as some folks' teeth are more "stubborn" than others. Additionally, we understand that submitting multiple support requests/questionnaires, as well as multiple rounds of photos, can cause frustration. That begin said, as we do not have the advantage of seeing our customers in a chairside setting, these are integral parts of the Byte process. However, we'dd still love to help in any way we can.       I ordered my son's aligners with the Protection Plan. Then 2 days later we had a family emergency where we needed the funds for my husband's emergency surgery. I explained to Byte that we will continue with the aligners but at this time cannot do the Protection Plan. They were not willing to refund the money I paid in full even though we just paid it 2 days prior and have not even received the aligners yet. This just shows the type of company they are.

      They deserve 0 stars, They dont work, save your money! Look at all the responses, my teeth arent that crooked. If you complain they give you the run around! Plus they transferred my account without my permission and it screwed up my auto payments and now I have late notice on my credit report. They are thieves and its such a scam!

      DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I signed up for Byte on January 23, 2023 and that is where my problems began, on February 2nd I get an email saying my aligners are on their way but when I look up the tracking information it has someone else's name and address so I reach out immediately and don't hear back until February 7th. They try to confirm the mailing address which is not correct, the next day they ask me for my address however i'm concerned whether i'll be getting my aligners or someone else's. Anyway they confirm my address and state they will be giving me a $200 credit back to my CareCredit account. When I get the tracking information for my set of aligners it has someone else's name on it! They are the correct aligners though. I'm still unsure about what is going on with my account though because when I log in to the app it has the wrong number of aligners. Fast forward to June 19th, I go to the dentist for tooth pain and she informs me that I have a tooth infection that was likely caused by these aligners and resulted in a root canal for me. I submit my letter of recommendation from my dentist to stop treatment on July 14th. They take forever to get me my refund and end up sending me a check that I receive on August 23rd that is $200 short (the amount of the credit they said I would get in February) They told me to contact CareCredit because they submitted the refund back in February but CareCredit doesn't have it. Byte sent me a receipt with for the refund today September 11 and it has the wrong account number on it. They easily take a week between replies and working with their customer service team is the most frustrating thing ever. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone and this $200 refund which could have taken a 10 minute phone call has been dragged out for over 6 months. There was more involved in my frustrations however I had to shorten it due to the character limit.

      BEWARE.....Do not do business with this company! I paid full price $2200 CASH for my daughter's aligners and they sent her first set and all was well but when it came time for them to send the 2nd set they did not send it because they said her treatment was not going as planned!I told them to just send the 2nd set anyways since I paid for them and they never did. Now they say I have to pay and extra $900 to start over!!! Their email support address ends in ".byteme.com"I should've known when I saw that......that is most likely their attitude!!! Support takes DAYS to respond to you too and things are never resolved! I want my money back or a new treatment plan for her...I should not have to pay extra!!I wish I saw these reviews before I did business with this shady company!

      I would not recommend this company if you need anything other than minor alignment. I have pretty strong crowding, so much that my dentist suggested if I wanted straight teeth I should have my teeth filed down to make space. Of course the dentist wanted $5,000 for that treatment with Invisalign so I did the impression kit with Byte. They showed me a fancy diagram of how I would get straight teeth and within 4 weeks I had my first set of aligners. By week 3, my aligners had significant air gaps and support said I needed to do impressions again. The second set wasn't sufficient so I had to do them a 3rd time. I waited another 4 more weeks and had 15 new aligners. By week 7 of round 2, my teeth were slightly straighter but now theres air gaps again. Working with customer support is miserable because they take 5+ days to respond and it's always copy and paste responses. Trying to do aligners outside of the dentist office is an admirable goal but when they try to remove the dentist from the equation, it's a total disaster. There's no reason they can't offer better patient service except that it probably costs them too much money. They run this business in a manner where they don't care if you fail, in fact it's probably how they make their money. It's impossible to get a refund and as you'll see in the other reviews, the "smile guarantee" is almost always void because of some nonsense. I really wish this company would have worked but now I'm out $2,000 and my teeth are not straight.
