When you unfortunately purchase this treatment, you get assigned a "doctor". They in fact are never in touch. Instead, you are passed along between "team members", who are never the same. There is nobody accountable for anything. So, if you have a pretty starlight forward treatment, teeth move according to plan, and you're happy with results, you might be alright and give them 5 stars. My treatment did not end the way it was projected although I was following instructions very closely. Now almost 2 months later I am still wearing my last week of aligners because nobody seems to be doing anything except asking me for more and more photos and sending me on endless email loop. You get what you pay for.Byte

I cant begin to tell you how let down I am with this service and was even considering promoting them long term. Not any more!I lost my very last step of aligners Sept. 2022 and ordered free replacements and my free night time retainers. They came in on time but the "retainers" were super stripped, fit super loose, and really thick. They WERE NOT aligners...they sent me some bootleg looking RETAINERS. I immediately responded, with photos of the "aligners" and packaging it came in + comparison photos of the previous aligners I already had....it is June 26, 2023 and all i've gotten is headaches of back and fourth emails with the same responses of sending photos because they cant seem to get it together themselves. Every new email that comes in asks the same questions and it's always a new "licensed specialist". I've had 8 different people that have "helped" me and no one seems to communicate to eachother or send my request to the team that actually makes my aligners. I keep telling them to send the replacement aligners that they messed up on the first time and no one seems to understand what I'm saying. Byte has my full report with aligner numbers for every step...I can see it on my end on the website, why cant they? I litereally send you photos and have to draw out what I'm saying to them. This is so frustrating. I'm paying for something that I'm not even using and they tell me I cant get a refund, even though it says I can get a refund due to a faulty product which I have sent emails and photos 4 times with that "faulty product" as evidence. My almost year of back and fourth emails is enough evidence of a refund. I'm surprised a class action lawsuit hasn't been filed yet...Byte

Weird how they respond privately saying "please email us and we'll take care of your concerns"...NO, post it on here so everyone else can see how incompetent this company is. I already recieved another email from a NEW person again, which makes this the 9th person, trying to say the same thing. All I want is my replacement aligners that orginally came with the package. I began with byte in October 2022. I was supposed to complete my program by February 2023. Here we are in June yet again back tracking aligners despite the several check ins. Staff are slow to respond and fail to track my progress as they lead you to believe they will. They are continually unaware of what step I should be on, how often I should switch aligners and have continually failed to provided support. They certainly stand by you never getting any money back but will guarantee you a better smile eventually!Byte

I placed my order for in Jan. ***** almost two months of me having my alingers I experienced things such as, pain in my jaw, constantly clenching of my teeth, and my back molars hurting. The pain was constant to the point my jaw was always clenched together, even in my sleep, which resulted in my week 11 alingers breaking.I set up a meeting with a clinician and was told to wear my week 12 set and move forward(may 16th). I proceeded to wear week 12 set and noticed it not feeling great, air bubbles in between, the left upper side was loose constantly being able to pop it off with my tongue, and many discomforts (see photos attached). I emailed them regarding this that was when I was told my teeth are not being tracked properly and would need to redo my impressions kit to get a new treatment plan created. From may until now, I had to redo the impressions kit three times, only to end up waiting weeks to be told the same thing and that they are going to send me another one to do. I should of been done with my treatment by now, but instead I have been going back and fourth with all of these kits trying to get back on track with my treatment even with all of the continuing discomfort it has caused me. On June 16th was when I realized there is no point in me continuing for a product I have payed for and I did not end up achieving those services that should of been rendered. I ended up doing research myself and came across many lawsuits aganist byte and complaints for the same things I have experienced. They refused to refund me like they did to many others. I opened up this case helplessly to figure out how I can move forward, I let them know I have opened up a case with **** of America and they proceeded to send me a free impressions kit for the THIRD time to continue treatment, I told them I am open to trying one last time but if it does not workout again, I will be going through with this case and giving documentation if they will not be willing to refund me themselves.Byte

Sigh. Had high hopes for this because my teeth only needed minor correction. I paid the 2k and wore the aligners religiously for 10 wks, then traveling I missed a week (forgot to pack them). I kept wearing the 10 wk aligner and reached out to Bytes customer service to meet with one of their dentists to see when I should switch to the 11 wk aligner and to let them know despite only having slight crowding I wasnt seeing any noticeable change at 10 wks (I was given 12 wks of aligners) and asked if I should expect to see significant change in the next two weeks. The byte dentist was unprofessional, trying to rush through the visit, wouldnt answer my questions about not noticing any change in my teeth over ****************************** about missing a week (despite wearing it perfectly up until then). She said a byte representative would reach out to help with my questions. Two days later I got an email saying I would need to do another impression kit and start a new treatment for $3,400 (somehow more money than my original treatment?!) and by missing a week I had voided my warranty and would have to pay out of pocket, and until I pay they would provide no additional guidance on my current treatment. Wow. Super helpful Byte. Thanks. So for 10 weeks of wearing their painful aligners with their sharp edges, resulting headaches, and seeing no noticeable results despite having completed 10 wks of the 12 wk (~ 85%) treatment plan, Byte is now trying to extort me into purchasing a new treatment plan if I want any help. Very unprofessional Byte to drop a patient in the middle of a treatment. This could have serious implications for folks health (and self esteem!), particularly for patients with more serious corrections needed than me. Ironically, or I suppose strategically on Bytes part, this company texts and calls you multiple times daily all enthusiastically and the second you pay, its radio silence. Id advise folks to go to a real dentist and avoid these scammers.Byte

Byte clearly states a full refund if you are not a good candidate for their treatment. I thoroughly described my case and what I was seeking out of the treatment. They were very responsive telling me how great my impressions were and built my 3D model of my treatment. The first one did not look like my teeth AT ALL and the progression of treatment made the issue I was addressing worse. I asked for another 3D model, the second time was even WORSE than the ************* my teeth larger gaps and ultimately would make my alignment more problematic. If I wanted my teeth to look like Donkeys from Shrek I would have been a great candidate. It was clear I was not going to be a good candidate so I sent ***********, unfortunately I think that's worse than before :( I don't think I'm a good candidate for Byte treatment, that treatment plan made the bite more pronounced they asked if they wanted me to close the account. I responded that I did and expected a refund. After that I was ghosted, May 15. I gave them two weeks assuming Id get a delayed response. I followed up on email, no response. AGAIN in text. Here we are a month later with no response. FALSE advertising ********************** then being non-responsive - at least tell me youre going to not honor your guarantee?Byte

Unreliable. Business doesn't tell why they can't cancel the kits. I understood all refundable especially when I saw prices, how long you keep aligners on, and without knowing if my insurance qualified, received email it didn't and offered Byte's plan for payment! I'm awaiting kit even though I didn't want it, only going to refuse it. Payment method is not available to this entity or others affiliated. This is a scam in my opinion.Byte

I was using this product diligently for 2+ years. It eventually stopped progressing and I kept being told to take photos and get new aligners made. This happened 3 separate times with them promising to get me to my end goal with their help. The process was incredibly slow and then eventually they dropped me halfway through the alignment and said the dentist on staff said couldn't help me. Now my bite on my right rear side of my mouth is messed up and I'm left with no other option but to go seek help elsewhere. ***** to be feeling worse off then before 2 years later..Not worth it.Byte

Starting this process was awful! I was coerced into applying for Care Credit. After applying and not being approved for the entire cost for the aligners and impression kit, I am stuck with $1,100 in credit cards and now have to pay monthly for aligners I never used. The impression kit and plan they had didnt show that it would close my gap, the whole reason for getting the aligners in the first place. I tried to get another impression kit and they said since I singed that I accept the plan, I was ***! They never wanted to work with me on the payment nor getting my teeth straightened. So now Im here with a kit, not used and debt. They switched my plan over to Westland Portfolio causing their interest rates to essentially cost me DOUBLE to what I agreed to in the first place. Byte expects you to agree to their plans but when you dont, theres not a person to speak to!!Byte

Terms and conditions change. They dont communicate well but if theres a lapse with your communication they do not honor lifetime guarantee. They sent me a follow up for my retainers. Their aligners didnt even work in the first place. Was assured any dental work that would change the alignment would be covered. Lo and behold, they do not.Byte
