Awful company. My electric bill has now doubled. It is over $700 a month now. This company is a scam. They rang my doorbell and the representative promised that my bill would go down considerably with my kWh being cut in half if I switch to Inspire.Inspire Clean Energy

Last May of 2023, I to was a victim of inspire , I canceled on May 31st 2023 only to find out that they are still charging me for their services through Nyseg . called Nyseg and on my account it shows cancellation on May 31, 2023 so how they got to stay on my account through them for almost a year is baffling to me!!! Such a scam , the companies ethics are awful, why BJ’s would allow this company to come in and solicitate is also changed my opinion of bjs, will not be renewing with them eitherInspire Clean Energy

Exorbitant rates, false advertising - "works like a traditional plan!" What traditional plans suck you in with a competitive rate, only to double it after the first year?Inspire Clean Energy

This company has no business ethics no values. my daughter signed a billing cycle for one year. They asked for renewal which I denied to them cause of bad reviews and a the worst customer service. They increased my last bill and the rate passed from 0.1599 to 0.2099. they're playing win/lose strategy which gonna be a brick stone for them to go forward. I'm predicting that inspire gonna be out of business shortly with this kind of management.Inspire Clean Energy

Like others, I was approached at a BJ's in Plymouth, MA by these absolute scam artists. I was told I would receive a $50 BJ's card if I answered some questions about my electric provider eversource and would have a "fixed monthly bill" I went against my better judgement and answered some of their questions, I was then signing up with Inspire and was told I would save $$ on my bill every month. When I got home I went into my online account to see what I'm currently paying- and the rate they offered was significantly higher than the rate I was always paying. Why would BJ's allow these scam artists to blatantly lie and advise folks to switch when they have no idea what rate you're currently paying? I'm appalled this is allowed and the BBB needs to look into this company as they are scamming people. I'm not elder, or stupid, and I fell for it. My own fault. But BJ's should have to pay for this as well as Inspire.Inspire Clean Energy

Inspire renewable energy are scammers. I started their service in March of 2021. Their salesman told me my monthly bill would be lower than what I pay using only PSEG. And I would also be helping the earth.
For few first months it was ok then my bill was double, almost triple of what I would pay using just PSEG.
I called them in Dec 2023, and their operator was talking nicely to me and asked me about the damn weather. I get it they have to be polite. But when I asked him some valid questions he sounded mad.
I approached them with a $209 I was billed in Nov-Dec 2023. If I had only used PSEG my bill would have been $97 for that time period. He said their rates are higher at the moment and their corporate is offering a lower rate plan of 0.11 he can offer me for a year and a $30 refund. I asked if he could refund some more and he said NO. I asked him about why the lower rate plan was not applied to me by default. He said I have to call them every month on a certain day and follow-up with the rate changes, they lower rate wont automatically be applied to my account. (I mean WTF!). Call ended.
I checked my bill to see what I was charged by PSEG and Inspire when they offered me 0.11. PSEG would have charged me 0.13 and Inspire has charged me 0.23 for Nov-Dec 2023. All my previous bill were the same. I called them again to cancel my account and they offered me more $40 in refund, total $70 refund with a 0.11/kWh.
I canceled my account anyway that day. I felt betrayed by this company and did not want to be associated with such scammers in anyway. I know I could have taken the lower rate deal and refund, and cancelled later. But I just didn't want to be associated with such scammers for even a second.Inspire Clean Energy

I, like others was approached by a sales rep at BJ's Wholesale Club in Albany, NY. She said I was probably paying between 18 and 20 cents per Kwh and I could probably save half of the Supplier side of my utility bill. So I signed up, noting that I had 3 days to cancel the contract with no questions asked and no obligations. I came home and found that I am actually paying 9 cents per Kwh already and that going with them would have cost me more! So first, why would a reputable chain like BJ's allow people like that in their store without vetting them first? Second, how can the sales reps tell outright lies to people with a smile on their face? This company should be outlawed and with our state and federal representatives so busy being extreme and bashing the other party, both sides might want to join together to protect the consumer from this shit! I just called and cancelled my contract and was told that I was giving up the opportunity to help others out who had no electricity and a whole bunch of other bullshit. So I asked why the sales reps are allowed to lie to the consumers and was told they could not tell me why that occurs, but apologized to me for it happening. Fortunately, they told me it was on a recorded line and I hope the recording gets played for everyone to hear, but I know better than that. This is where I'm afraid that capitalism has become an excuse to defraud all consumers with virtually no consequences and we clearly don't need terrorists to take America down, we'll do it to ourselves!Inspire Clean Energy

DO NOT GET SUCKED IN!!!! Their rates are not cheaper they are ridiculous as soon as my one year was up it went so high it is 12 cents a kWh higher than if I just stayed with National Grid. :( I'm so upset that my meter was read yesterday and this will be my source for another month with my electric heat! My bill this month was $250 more than if I just stayed with National Grid not to mention the higher cost from the 14 previous months. This month coming up will be more that $250 overcharged. If I could give negative 1000 stars I would the deserve zero stars! They do not care even asked me as I was crying how my day is going while letting their screen load not good having fell for your SCAM!Inspire Clean Energy
