I signed up with Inspire a few years ago and it was supposed to be about $100 a month until last year when i noticed a huge increased in my electricity bill and Called National Grid Inspire has been charging me 3 times the amount I was paying about $370 a month more than my monthly bills and when i called them i was told that the service that i had signed for is no longer valid and they automatically moved me to this $370 a month service and a notice was sent to my home which i never received I have been calling them to get a credit because how can i be switched to a service almost 3 times the amount i was paying i'm so behind in my billed because i have a huge 4K from Inspire i told them that if the service that i has applied for is not longer valid automatically my service should have been cancelled they said that i had signed for automatic renewal imagine automatic renewal for a a new service that i never heard of ?? i have been emailing them and they are offering me $ 400 for what ?? this is so unfair that they are out there taking money from people without their consent i met a few people that the same thing happened to they give you a good rate in the beginning and without your consent they charge you so much i need them to credit my account and of course i cancelled all services with them and i hope they get investigating because i think it's a scam who could afford to pay $ 370 your monthly bill is $150 this is so unfair . they need to be investigatedInspire Clean Energy

My husband was approached by a young saleswoman while we were shopping in BJ’s Wholesale Club. She said we would save on our bill and it would be cheaper, sold us a whole story. My Con Edison bill has tripled, it’s like you’re paying two bills, a Con Ed bill and Inspire Energy bill. Stay away from them. It may be cheap the first time but it will triple your bill.Inspire Clean Energy

I was just approached at BJ’s by 2 inspire reps. They really put on very hard sales pressure. Asked for all my info and when I pushed back they would not let up . Kept trying to get me to sign… which I did not! They would not quote a price. Then said they would match my price.
These reps are face of inspire and it was a very eye opening. I am considering going to Attorney general. BJ’s should not let this disreputable company in their stores.
I would have left zero stars if allowed!Inspire Clean Energy

They were charging me .14 per Kilowatt compared to BGE .09 per kilo watt for 2 years! The first year when they sold me on it it was only .07 for the first year and then they hid the price on the billing after the first year! NEVER AGAIN!!Inspire Clean Energy

I was approached at BJ's store by a woman who was with inspire energy in april 2023. She asked if we could give her a moment of our time and we did. One of the worst mistakes of my life, tbh. She told us the benefits of switching my provider from eversource basic to inspire energy and how cheap inspire is and said it's 10 c/kwh and eversource was charging me 17 c/kwh at that time. Looking at that, I was very happy and convinced it would lower my electric bill. Fast forward to the end of October, I paid my bill and was confused why I was paying almost double than i generally do at this time of the year. That's when i saw inspire was actually charging me 24 c/kwh instead of the 10 that was said to us. For the past 6 months, they were charging me to a point where one of the months I paid over $500 for the electric bill. We called the inspire customer service and got the texting line with one of their agents named Samantha. She initially slipped we were in 9.99 c/kwh locked in for 24 months and when I said I'm actually paying 24 cents not 10, she wrote "it's a typo, she actually meant 24 c/ kwh not 9.99 cents, and then proceeded to say they dont have 9.99 cents plan at all". I have the messages in my phone as proof as well. Who the hell in their right mind will change their provider who was charging 16 cents to a provider who charges 24 cents?
This company should be shut down and should be made an example for their false advertisements and a lawsuit should be filed against them, a class action lawsuit, every single person working there seems like a fraud.Inspire Clean Energy

They were in BJ’s in utica NY. We were approached and I was intrigued. They said it was possible to save money on our bill. No talk of being signed up or having to pay them a fee. Just a email with information. They said i could save 9 cents with possibility of saving more. The email states all kinds of fees that were no discussed with us. False advertising and lying sales people.Inspire Clean Energy

I was told by the representatives from Inspire that my electric bill would go down. I signed up for 2 addresses. I had no billing history for either address so I did not realize how much more I was being billed by Inspire. After speaking to National Grid I was told that in the 8 month period I was using Inspire I was charged at least $600 more than I would have been if I had not signed up with them.Inspire Clean Energy
