      About three days ago, I randomly got logged out of my Yahoo email on my phone and was unable to regain access online because Yahoo deleted my recovery email without any prior notice or notification. I called support twice. Both times, the customer service was awful, and they tried to push me into paying for a monthly subscription for technical support. This is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard of in my life, as no other email provider does this. The second ****** I spoke with assured me that he would help, made me go through the verification process, and said all he needed to do was add my recovery phone number. However, he then told me I had to pay first. After I asked why he had me go through the verification steps if he wasnt going to do anything, he hung up on me mid-sentence, which was incredibly rude after a 30-minute call. This behavior is completely unprofessional. I now understand why people use ****** and Gmailthis level of customer service is unacceptable. Also, its quite convenient that I got logged out and my recovery email was deleted. It feels like this is being done on purpose to force users into subscribing. I dont understand why a monthly subscription would be requiredare you implying Ill need technical support every month? Is Yahoos service so unreliable that I would need a subscription every month? This is beyond ridiculous and appears to be money-driven behavior from a company that should be focused on providing quality service instead.

      Yahoo keeps asking for me to verify my account. The password that i keep entering is correct but the methods of verification are no longer active, I have tried to get in contact with them, but the workers keep stating that they cannot verify my identity. Need to get issue resolved and update my methods of verification.

      I am writing to formally file a complaint against Yahoo Mail due to their unfair business practices regarding account access and customer support. I have been locked out of my Yahoo email account and have been unable to reset my password through their automated system. Despite multiple attempts, I have not received any assistance from their standard support channels. Instead, the company requires you to pay a fee just to speak with a representative or receive any form of direct support. It's unethical and unreasonable.

      AOL has been my back up for certain accounts. I just got an email from them asking to agree to new rules. i tried to log in and my password needs to be changed...in the process of changing it it wants to send a message to my number which is a land line!!! i have called and asked to have it changed to a cell phone but customer service say i have to pay to have the account looked at ! If you want to have me use your service why not just help me access my account?

      I have contacted Yahoo everyday this week to verify my identity so that I can access my email account I have had for over ********************************************************************************************************************* I have submitted multiple times to Yahoo only to be told it did not pass verification process. I have attached it to this complaint and I am now considering legal action for the emotional distress this has caused me. I have all of my major accounts linked to this email and have not been properly assisted in recovering it. This is a total company failure by Yahoo and it's system to properly identify a person on their account. I demand answers as to why my ID and a picture of my face does not suffice!!!!!

      Re :Impossible to navigate new version of Yahoo Mail on account: ************************************** and many requests to return to the previous classic version of Yahoo Mail have been ignored.

      Dear Sirs/Ms:

           This complaint letter concerns Yahoo's recent reconfiguration of their email page rendering it unnavigable and impossible to work with. This happened around March 1, 2025 and has been a nightmare ever since despite sending feedback daily asking that the previous Classic Yahoo Mail version be restored.  Every day i send feedback to get the previous version restored only to be ignored and this has gone on for weeks. My question to them; why ask for feedback if you're not going to do anything about this?  And their response, complete silence, no response. Their off shore toll free customer service lines are worthless, are staffed by incompetent and rude emploees that give you the run around, waste your time and hang up on you abruptly for no reason.

           I'd drafted a letter to you ( copy below ) on the suggestion of ****** but didn't send it as something came along that required my immediate attention. I also wanted to include these issues with my complaint. Over the last few weeks I've found the following problems are ococurring regularly and there are likely others that'll be discovered as well as time goes on, so far they are:

      1)  Unable to download and upload files to send, view, print out or receive and to be able to send them to my downloads and copy to my flash drive  (and send copies to myself ) as Yahoo doesn't recognize them for some reason. This needs to be fixed.

      2) The new versions compose screen lacks the editing features: bold, italics, size of script, margins, right, center, left that allow you to edit and  customize documnts rendering it useless , (the previous version had these features ). This needs to be fixed.

      3)  The site skips and jumps without provocation while reading a file or working on an email making it difficlult to impossible to find what 
            you were working on. This needs to be fixed.

      4)  When selecting items to dehighlight to send to the trash or star for easy finding to save to read and deal with later, the site jumps to the top of the screen requiring me to scroll from top to the bottom to find the file to be deleted and then often I get the pop up window message after clicking on the item or items to be deleted: Bulk delete - are you sure you want to delete these ****** messages?.  This needs to be fixed.

      5)  Spam is sent to my inbox and not the spam folder requiring me to go through the daily emails to determine what are spam and send them to spam. This needs to be fixed.

      6)  The daily emails don't fit into one page like before requiring me to delete files, some important, to be able to read the earlier files of the day. This needs to be fixed.

         These issues have cost me work and jobs I can't afford to lose and what's Yahoo's response to the daily feed back to return to the previous classic Yahoo Mail vesion immediately, this new version doesn't work: silence and being ignored. Please Better Business Bureau, help me get these issues resolved and a return to the previous email program Classic Yahoo Mail. Thank you for your time and consideration of this important issue. I look forward to your prompt response.

      As for their response, I've heard nothing acceptable as to how they are going to resolve this issue that's festered for almost 7 weeks. This has cost me work and their attitude, 'crickets' and the blow off or silent treatment. Therefore please reopen claim # ******** immediately. I need them to restore my email to the previous version with no more delays and excuses. Thank you for your consideration and getting this issue resolved ASAP.

      10 years ago I had a yahoo email account that they cancelled 5 years later. I set up a new email. About 15 months ago the old email started showing up again even though this account no longer exists. It keeps swiping out my new email at the bank ******* ****** bark box and Shipt. Spent hours today once again. Finally got someone at yahoo that basically called me a liar. I know the account does not exist but I feel they should do something about this. Its their company. This email needs to be removed from the internet. I have tried. The bank has repeatedly tried to remove it. I dont understand computers but when banks cant erase this email I feel the company is at fault. To be called a liar is unexceptionable. I want this fixed

      04/03/2025 I have attempted to recover my email account however its locked behind a mobile number I no longer have access to. I gained access to the recovery email and attempted that route and it still redirects me to a page where I have to use a mobile number that is no longer mine. I attempted to resolve my issue using the free chat however the company has a scripted AI blocking me from recovering an account unless I talk to a real agent and pay a fee of ~12 dollars. Recovery of my email should be free, as I have never had an issue recovering my email with any other service.

      I had my $5/mon for yahoo mail switched from Discover to **** over a year ago because I was trying to get rid of the Discover account. After switching over, I was being billed in both cards! I spoke to Yahoo finance last month trying to get to the bottom of the billing. They said my account shows the **** billing not the Discover. They couldn't help. I called Discover to dispute the bill, it fixed it for the $5 last month, but now I got a new monthly bill, billing me for $10 in ADDITION to a new monthly bill of $5. And unless I pay it, ******** will charge me a late fee! I have nowhere to turn to. I'm desperatre.

      I've had a Yahoo account for almost 20 years without any problems, but recently, I lost access because I no longer have the phone number linked for two-step verification. Yahoo only offers support through their premium support line, which requires paying for a premium account.Even though I didnt want a premium account, I called for help because I have important emails in the account. Ive submitted my valid ID and payment info multiple times, but every time, theres a different issue on their end with their system. The last time I called, their system couldn't verify my ID, even though it was successfully verified the previous time I called. They refused to give me any other options and denied me access to my account.I find this policy unfair and would appreciate help in resolving this issue.
