To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my Yahoo Mail account, which I have been unable to access due to: forgotten password and lost access to recovery email.Despite repeated efforts to recover my account through *********************** online tools (e.g., the Sign-In Helper), I have been unsuccessful. Additionally, Yahoo does not offer phone or live support for Canadian users, and their Yahoo ******************** is only available in *****************. As a result, I have had no way to contact a human representative to verify my identity or resolve the issue. This account is important to me ans it has been my primary email for over 20 years and I have been locked out since May 29. I am requesting that Yahoo provide:A way to securely verify my identity,Assistance in regaining access to my account,Or clear communication explaining why access cannot be restored.I understand privacy and security concerns may limit what Yahoo can do, but the lack of support in ****** has left me without recourse.Thank you for your assistance in helping mediate a resolution.Sincerely,***** ******* Yahoo email in question: ***************************************Business Response

I have 2 yahoo email accounts which were created over 20 years ago. I access them through apple mail on my cellphone and iPad. All of sudden last week I received account error on both emails. The passwords are correct but when I try to login to the accounts, it will send a 6 digit code to the recovery email and since these accounts are each others recovery email, I dont have access to the 6 digit codes and it wont let me to login. I contacted the yahoo customer service 4 times and each time they scanned my Canadian ID - active drivers license and said the system cannot verify my ID and its failed! I have contacted regarding below account which was created 20+ years ago and obviously back then no one would put their id and legal name into the account but I do have all other information and they saying there is nothing else to do and maybe I should contact later. Last time I asked to talk to a supervisor and he did the exact same thing, and scanned my ID and said it has failed verification and there is nothing else he can do. When I asked what else we could do so Ill be able to access my account and all other apps that I have locked out of since are registered under the same yahoo account, he said theres nothing else! I also explained my concern regards keep scanning my ID and how frustrated I am that a big company like yahoo has no other way of helping a long standing member, he responded you are not listening to me and hung up the phone! He had poor manners and that was one the worst customer service experiences that I ever had.Business Response

My complaint is with Yahoo email services. Last Thursday I stopped receiving emails to my Yahoo email account for no apparent reason. I have been locked out, my passwords are also not working. I called their customer service ***eatedly only to be given different ***lies by each *** I spoke to. First one said their system was down, next one said verification would not go through, suggested call back after 24 hours. I gave them the proper government ID they asked for and offered to provide any other ID or info they need. 24 hours later 2nd *** said the same thing, 3rd one apologized and said this is a known issue with their system, many complaints about this and he cannot help. Verification will not go through. I have crucial medical info in this email account, it is attached to all my medical portals, doctors etc, I have chronic health issues as well as surviving cancer. Losing access to this info is causing great distress. Also I have had this account for almost 20 years and have sentimental content I dont want to lose from family and friends. This email is also attached to all my financial institutions and businesses. It is heartbreaking to know that after so many years I am locked out by a technical difficulty. Is there anything that can be done? I will be at loss if unable to get back in. Please is anyone able to help?Business Response

I lost access to my email account the morning of May 25th. I was given a prompt that said my password was invalid. The website stated you could restore it, but that never worked. I twice contacted Yahoo's customer service in person paid help site, but was told without a mobile phone # they could do nothing for me. I then went to the closest library and made an appointment with their tech assist person. We made numerous attempts to get access to the help line and when we finally connected the ***resentative stated the number we had called on would not work, despite it being a ******* network mobile that they could identify and that the tech had used for 8 years. The Yahoo *** now stated I needed to find yet another mobile phone to try restoring my account yet again. After a 30 mile drive and hours spent trying to resolve this issue I decided with no guarantee from the Yahoo *** that a different phone would work I abandoned my efforts. I have still not been able to restore my account and never heard from Yahoo nor was able to resolve at their website. I cannot do forwarding or access my contacts and other files to transfer to a different acct because I am locked out.Business Response

I have been locked out of my Yahoo email account, which I have used for over 13 years. Despite multiple attempts, the password reset options provided by Yahoo are not working, and I have no access to recovery methods (such as phone or alternate email).?Yahoo offers no free or live customer service support to assist with account recovery unless you pay for a premium service. I believe it is unethical and negligent for Yahoo to deny users support for basic access issues, especially when critical and long-standing data (personal documents, account verifications, financial records, etc.) are at stake.I have tried every option provided through their website and help pages, but I am stuck in a loop where I cannot verify my identity. There are no effective ways to resolve this without paying for a support line, which I should not be forced to do just to recover a long-term account.?I am requesting that Yahoo provide human customer support to assist in verifying my identity and restoring access to my email account. I am not asking for anything beyond access to my own data.Business Response
