I have an account (email: ************************************** with ************************* and am not able to access it. Apparently, my password is no longer valid and I am unable to change it. I have been trying to contact Yahoo to get assistance in resetting my password with no luck at all. I have tried their customer contact number but am put through to an automated message system that does not allow me to speak to an actual customer representative. I have also tried the on line chat with no luck. I have tried all of the instructions on the website to recover change my password on my account with no success. Obviously, it is critical to gain access to my yahoo email account and I simply want to speak to a customer representative who can help facilitate this. I am surprised and disappointed that when I call the customer assistance phone number I am not able to speak to a customer representative despite this being offered as a service. This seems like it should be an easy fix, if a ************************* representative could contact me to assist in regaining access to my account.Business Response

I have a Yahoo email account in ******, and I am currently locked out due to my back up email being locked as ******* current yahoo email requires a backup email to recover my current emails but by back up email I havent had access to for some time now.When I try and call all the numbers the bots and live agents give me, there is nothing they can do because I dont have an American residency or US drivers license and then say sorry we cant help you and hang up the phone.Looking online I see lots of complaints if people saying the same thing and even warnings of signing up a yahoo account for these reasons.I have lots of information and to be told sorry you cant unlock your account then is very frustrating.Please help.Ive attached a few screenshots of where it takes me and the steps I have been taking and it takes me in a loop back to where I started, nothing is working and there doesnt seem to be a customer service help line here in ******.Business Response

Yahoo changed their format within the last 24 hours now I cannot open any attachments that were sent to me by email. I called their ************ customer service phone number and of course was on hold for 30 minutes, The representative was able to get me switched back to the old email format, but my attachments are still missing. Now she said I need to sign up and pay for tech support for my email attachments that they lost in the first place. I need it FIXED NOW for FREE!!! I need to know if they can fix the problem or start with another email service NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Business Response

At 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2025, I received my last yahoo email. I am no longer receiving emails since that day and time. Yahoo would like me to re-enter my password to regain access to this email account. I never signed out of this email account. I have had this email account for 20 years. I created this account in college and had a different phone number associated with the email recovery. I no longer have the same phone number. I have forgotten the password. Yahoo wants to send a code to the phone number I no longer have access to. I would like to regain access to my email. I emailed yahoo customer care on May 27, 2025, and received a response via email on May 28, 2025 @ 1:31 a.m. The email gave the follow number ************* for support if you have access to your account, which I do not. Please assist me in getting another option to regain access to my email. I no longer have the phone number associated with this account. I have the exact same problem as another person who has submitted a complaint previously, and apparently received assistance:I have had two Yahoo accounts for a long time. One I have had for about twenty years and the other for over twenty years. I was suddenly asked to sign in again to both accounts, but now am locked out of both accounts as one email address is the verification email for the other account and vice versa. Now I cannot access the verification code to sign into either account. I know the password for each account and have access to information that would help to validate me, but I cannot reach a human by phone or email who will help me. Not even the paid subscription support phone line will let me pass the initial recovery code submission stage (which is automated) because I did not have a cell phone linked to the accounts. I would like to be able to speak to a human and get back into my 20+ years of emails.Business Response

************************* refuses to assist me with any help regarding getting back into a locked account. I had a device stolen off of me during an attack on the street, with that I lost all information, accounts and access to old phone numbers / email addresses. Therefore my login information does not exist, there is nowhere on the Yahoo website that allows me to access any support without paying for a subscription. Or change the number and email on file for account recovery. My email and phone number on file for account recovery have both been inaccessible, despite calling and speaking with an agent, I was on hold for 1 hour, then told theres nothing they can do. This account is needed for school work, and has access to my bank information, Apple ID login, student loan, CRA, and all needed information. This has been my email address since I was 11 years old (now 21). I cant lose 10 years of information due to yahoos changed policy, which received no warning of.Business Response

Yahoo makes it impossible to resolve log in issues. They are several Reddit's and social media posts regarding the issue. Ive had my yahoo email for almost 20 years. I know my password and entered it correctly. They ask me security questions, that I set purposely because I know the answers and says its still wrong. I believe at this point they are purposely locking accounts to make people pay for support. I would like access to my account.Business Response

I recently had my phone number changed, I had a two factor authentication on my yahoo account, so unfortunately I was not allowed to changed my yahoo password which is attached to everything I have personally. I called customer support and there only solution to change my password was for me to pay a monthly subscription. There was no other options. I have never heard of having to pay a business monthly just to change your password one time. This is a scam. The representative was no help and tried to hang up on me several times as I kept trying to understand why I had to pay monthly for a password change.Business Response
