If I could give no stars, I would. How is it legal that Yahoo can force people to pay for a "premium service" in order to get back into your locked account. Outrageous.

Literally the only reason I bother to use a Yahoo account is because they are the boomer email that doesnt require me to connect it to a cellphone. Now, not only do they want a cellphone they want me to pay extra to even use it. Their overall service is piss-poor, if it wasn't for the lack of invasiveness I wouldnt even bother to use it and that's disappearing behind a paywall now to. Dont even bother, if an email is gonna forcably collect your data you might as well pick one that doesnt charge you for that invasion to.

*** took advantage of my elderly father and charged him $30 a month for a service he did not need. Now after I canceled and they kept charging, I canceled the credit card they were charging now they are sending me a notice saying To collect $30.83.

Can't log back in to my account and I have loads of business associated with the account and I also don't have access to the old phone number associated with the account and I shouldn't have to pay to recover a password and there should be better options when you forget a password

Yahoo wants you to pay for customer support, while their email service completely fails at every turn. Yahoo mail has been making me change my password EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO LOG IN. This is frankly the most obnoxious thing I've ever dealt with associated with an email address and I regret ever having used this pathetic excuse for a company's email services. If I could give 0 stars I would. Other reviews have had the same issue and many other issues as well. I just want to be able to log into my email account without hassle, but that is apparently too much for Yahoo to handle.Despite all their problems they really expect people to pay for customer support? That is laughable and should be criminal. I would never recommend this service or any yahoo service to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I will be sure to leave a negative review on every avenue available to me, though it won't make much difference seeing as your BBB rating is already 1.06/5 Stars, among the worst I have ever seen. If a rating of 0 stars was possible I'm sure it would be significantly lower.

Do I contact the Attorney General in MY state OR the Attorney General in the State where Yahoo headquarter's is located? People who are having issues, that they contribute to issues on Yahoo side. Each of us as individuals may not have power, but Attorney Generals [AG] of States, when people file complaints and there is a pattern, AG have power.Yahoo acquiring Frontier e-mails is a MESS. Frontier can not help. The Yahoo phone # posted on the Frontier, when called, there is an automated system that states "hmm I do not recognize your number, please hang up and try a different device, [ gives ********************** on-line contact], and DISCONNECTS THE CALL!! Yahoo "live chat" states to call ******** Service Provider, circle back first sentence of Paragraph. Anything beyond that typed in, "live Chat" responds: "thank you for using live chat". seems live chat, is not live, it is a computer. I am reluctant to do ANYTHING that connects directly to Yahoo, b/c somehow they hijack my computer searches and such, and I can not use / access important computer information and services. Which WASTE HOURS of my time reversing it.From what I read, Yahoo wants people TO PAY, to make YAHOO money, off their ERRORS or THEIR acquiring of Frontier - that is WRONG. I am writing here. I can post on ***** ****** reviews, social platforms, etc ************** I can come to terms I have lost my Frontier account, what I WILL NOT Do is PAY Yahoo. I may boycott forever. 80/20 rule: when NEW consumers research e-mail services, they will read people's accounts of Yahoo and they may LOSE their e-mail account, get locked out & the only way to get it back is to PAY; result LESS new customers, wise people probably WILL choose a different provider *********

I've had a Yahoo Mail account for over 20 years and much of my life is attached to that email address. But about 6 months ago, they started asking me to use my "security questions" which I never set up back in the day. Since I still had the account active on my phone, I didn't think much of it. Fast forward to recently, when I wanted to access the mail account on my desktop but they've locked me out since I couldn't answer the random ""security" questions they kept asking in order to access the account. I'm 100% accurately answering the questions since, well, I know where my honeymoon took place, as well as my first pet. Essentially, they're holding me hostage until I pay for their new "premium support" system which, from reading NUMEROUS complaints about it, is complete BS and awful. This is horrible customer service. I get that ********************** email is a free service but blocking someone from accessing their email account until they "pay"? Really? I hope there's a special place in h*** for the person who thought this was a good idea. Another reason to head over to ****** mail who also sells my data but at least they're not doing this.

Pornagraphic content on Yahoo abhorrent! Very disturbed by what I saw live displayed on a Yahoo story about ******* without selecting. It was just there for anyone to see, from me a 70 year old man to my grand kids to observe unfiltered. It was ungodly, paganistic, and disgusting. I am writing my Congress representatives, the BBB, and the *** to attempt to make this known and STOPPED!************************* ********, **

Yahoo is one of the worst email providers. I forgot my password and no longer had access to my recovery phone number as I had changed my phone number. *** called them over and over trying to gain access and no one will help. Even spoke with a supervisor who put me on hold and just hung up on me. Their support customer service is very rude and not helpful at all. Till this day I still never received help.
