      The are litterally holding the account hostage I've had since the 1990's until they get paid. Only needed to change the 2ndary validation phone number (it was an old cell) to recover the account **. They want to charge a 'technical service fee' to just change the phone number so I can reset the ** myself... even after verifying my identity with a picture of my driver's licence. These folks are poision. Yahoo is 100% a scam now. They also bought email addresses from *** to monitize and scam *** customers also. Stay away from **********************. ********************** branding is dead and a thing of the 1990's. Great way to kill a brand with this type of slimy behavior. Great opportunity for a good lawer to start a class action lawsuit for privicy voilations. I bet a good lawer could make BANK on these scam artists. Deep pocket alert!!!

      YAHOO ENCOURAGES THOSE WHO HAVE EMAILS WITH THEM TO MAKE COMMENTS ON STORIES. BUT THEY CENSOR SUCH COMMENTS NOT JUST FOR LANGUAGE/WORDS USED. OPINIONS ARE SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW A CERTAIN IDEALISM AND IF NOT YOU ARE CENSORED. I HAVE BEEN DENIED PLACING COMMENTS IN THEIR COMMENTS SECTIONS AFTER ANY GIVEN ARTICLE. EVERYTIME I PUT SOMETHING IN - MY COMMENTS ARE REJECTED - REGARDLESS OF WHAT MY COMMENT IS ABOUT. I WROTE - BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL AND WAS REJECTED! I WROTE GOD IS GREAT AND WAS REJECTED!       I have my log in and I have my password to my account and ********************** is forcing my to verify my account via a txt or phone call, except I dont have that number anymore. So they want me to pay for premium service call. Why is nobody questioning their biz practices? There is clearly pattern of un ethical practices that are not random, and are not for the best interest of the user. Its a tactics to force its users to pay or loose their accounts. I am absolutely devastated that the better business bureau continues to avoid taking action and instead leads us the users out in the cold. What is the better business bureau hiding?

      I dont like that you have to pay a monthly subscription just for tech support. There are issues that are out of anyones control, but in order for them to fix it you have to pay them. I would stare clear from using them from now on as your main email address

      Hi, I have had the same Yahoo Mail account since 2008. Each time I got a new phone I had no trouble using the mail on my phone. Now an error shows up asking me to sign in. I cannot log in because the email address for the verification code is no longer existent. I used the sign in helper, and it said there is a problem and said try again later after selecting log in another way. I have my password. Also, I cannot log into my computer or another way. I called multiple numbers for help, and they said because I am in ****** they cannot help. The website for World Yahoo for ****** only has information to troubleshoot. No contact number. I also cannot sign up for premium because I cannot get into my email to sign up. I really need help accessing my account. I am out of options.

      I have got back in to my email account with the help of yahoo customer service through my new email. It was an easy fix. Just wish yahoo had a number to reach out to for ****** support.

      I have NEVER EVER dealt with such a horrible company, ******** customer service. Had ********************** for over 25+ years (think dialup and paid by the minute after the first 30 minutes). Locked out of email. They 'cannot' reset it as my brother initially set it up. He is dead. They want - Name of his attorney, copy of will. Need trust stating I have legal authority of estate and a host of other nonsense. I calmly explained my brother died penniless, on ********, had no will, no trust, had nothing. They refused to help as I had no documentation. All I have is a copy of his death certificate. I gave the *** every bit of info on this account. Contacts, email addresses, phone numbers, etc; that I had on this account. Even the emails I sent myself with information i needed to retain. Nothing, nada. NO HELP AT ALL. All my information for billing, contacts, companies is gone since they won't help! If I could I would give this company a NEGATIVE 100 rating.

      They are complete incompetent clowns, Because of their screwup I am now locked out of numerous accounts. I have not had any satisfactory response nor I have heard anything more. They are asking for information that does NOT exist. They expect me to get a court order that I have cannot get nor should I have to go to the EXPENSE of getting because they screwed up my account and thousands of others, They know they did this to many people that have had AOL for +20 years and we no longer have access to critical data. When you finally get through to an agent on their contact telephone # they are exceptionally rude. AOL has no idea what a good experience is all about nor do they care. Worse customer service EVER.

      After having AOL for over 30 years, someone hacked into my account and stole my identity. They locked me out of my AOL account over three weeks ago and I have yet to be able to get back into my account. My ********************** mail account has been hijacked and it is like pulling teeth to try and speak with someone about this. I have submitted identification verification, and every time it denies me. I dont know if its because the Florida drivers license codes on the back dont and have never worked properly even at the airport. But it was easy enough for someone to steal my AOL account but very difficult for me to get it back! I was going to open up a yahoo mail until I found out they were connected. AOL needs to realize that when someone hacks into your email, they can do massive damage! I am even considering personally going to their headquarters in ******** to show them. I am who I say I am. It should not take that extreme action to recover my own email that Ive had for more than 30 years! This company makes it so difficult to speak with anyone and then when they call you back, you dont know if its really them or not. You dont know who to trust! AOL sucks!

      I am locked out of an email account I have had for over 25 years, and they are happy to help me if I provide a scan of my drivers license and sign up for their premium service. I did not forget my password. They simply hijacked my account to force me to pay for them to "look at my account" and unlock it.This should type of business practice should be illegal. I have many other online accounts that are verified through this AOL email account.

      The phone number on file is an outdated phone number. I was told I could send in a photo of my DL to verify my ID but I had to wait 3 days. After waiting 3 days now Im told there is nothing I can do to verify my ID.
