We looked into getting Solar last year and decided against it when we were told we need a new roof. We just got an email saying we have to start paying on our loan in July. We never got a loan or solar. Cannot get through to talk to anyone at Freedom Solar.Business Response

This company is flat out scamming people! It should not take *************************************************************** the first place. Also there sales **** in IL ARE PUSHING AN IRS SCAM with solar tax max or solar tax pros. Same company using both names. They are claiming to be able to get almost 80% of residential solar paid for. They want to turn your home into an LLC and write off your panels. This is illegal. The *** will come after you and the tax guys freedom forever and wont be there to protect you. My solar system stopped producing power in may. They scheduled a tech to come and look at this system to get it back online but had to reschedule. Finally they deemed it broken and had to order a replacement part that will arrive in 10 days, and then it needs to get scheduled again for ************ paying for a system to not have an electric bill, and during the hottest and most sun intense part of the year it stops working for two months while I still have to pay for the solar system and now the electric company. All I wanted was credit on my solar bill to my financing partner mosaic, but theyre refusing to help. Why should I be paying for a solar company that isnt producing?Business Response

We understand you’ve also inquired about compensation for the downtime. While Freedom Forever does not offer monthly reimbursements, your representative discussed the System Performance Claim Request outlined in your contract, which may provide compensation based on actual production shortfalls on an annual basis. This is between to company's Freedom Forever and the loan company ****** loan company. Freedom Forever installs solar panels I had them do an estimate for me on 04/26/2024 I did not approve the work the deal was canceled on 04/30/2024 that was the end of it, so I thought then I got a bill from ****** loan company on Saturday 06/21/2025 for the amount of $11,190.53 for something I never had installed and a loan that I never approved.Business Response

We signed up with Freedom Forever Solar on April 6th, but decided to cancel within 24 hours. We also canceled the scheduled financing with ****** as well. We have confirmation numbers and documentation available for both companies. We recently found out that there was a lien on our house, even though we never received any notice, obtained any financing, never got a permit or any equipment. Per Mosaic, Freedom Forever Solar had already received a part of the money right away, We would like to have this lien taking of our home as soon as possible, as there is no legal reason for a lien.Business Response

Freedom forever is suppose to reimburse my payments if the system isn't up and running in time. My first bill was due on June 3rd and I was sent this "Recap of the Situation:****** has temporarily paused its operations, including loan approvals and utility (PTO) submissions.This pause is a result of decisions made solely by ****** and is not related to any action taken by ************************* a result, all Freedom Forever projects involving Mosaic are affected by this pause."So I won't have my project finished, but I have to pay my loan and it's still collecting HIGH interest. ****** doesn't deal with ***, ****** has already approved my loan (obviously since it's accumulating interest). Please note that reimbursements are limited to payments made prior to the Permission to Operate (PTO) approval month, and do not include any additional or late payment fees. As such, the payment made on June 11, which covered accrued interest, is not eligible for reimbursement.
Kindly allow up to 72 business hours for the reimbursement check to be issued by mail to the project address. A follow-up with your point of contact has been scheduled for June 25, 2025, to confirm the status of the check.

My daughter and I were interviewed by members representing Freedom Forever ************** They told us we qualified for a Solor project of approximately $35,000.00. We told them that we wanted to think about it over night. The next morning we called and told them that we were not going forward with the project. I unfortunately assumed that it was not going to go any further. During this month of early May we experienced pluming problems in one of the bathrooms. When I went to my bank I learned that the loan from Solar was on my credit score account.. Since then I have contacted Freedom Forever, the Solar Mosic loan institution and the credit ********* last notice was an email stateing they have a hold on concelations. We paid for removal and have had , multiple issues, scheduling, rescheduling without telling us, took off work, rescheduled our disabled daughter's Dr ************ to be here 3x for reinstall. They've blatantly lied about reaching out to us, a complete run around. We've paid faithfully, my credit score is perfect. They didn't alert us to an inverter that was not working.
