I have leaks on my roof from this solar installation. They came and removed the solar 10/25/24 and have never reroofed my house so that the solar panels can be reinstalled. I have been in phone contact since the removal, workers have come and taken pictures of the damage inside and out, and I get the runaround day after day. Meanwhile, I am paying payments for the solar panels, with no energy being converted, and also paying my full electric bill! My husband died in 2022 and I am trying to handle all of this on my own. Please help me.

In early July 2024, I inquired about getting Solar Panels with a sales *** that had come to by house. I agreed to discuss and expressed interest in getting Solar Panels. It was explained to me that the process would involve a proposed system design, a site survey and that we would need to verify my credit score and apply for financing. It was stated that the loan would officially close unless the project moved forward to completion and that I had the right to cancel. In August, I decided to pause this project while exploring a home refinance and to get costs for converting all of my home appliances to electric. Around September, I decided to cancel and informed Freedom Forever of this decision. In March 2025, the financing is still on my credit ***ort and the lender is refusing to remove it stating that Freedom Forever declined to verify that the project was canceled. I reached out to Freedom Forever and they state that they have now escalated the cancelation, but it has to go through a queue for processing. I can't get an answer as to why it is taking over 7 months and just now placed in a queue, why they declined to verify cancelation with the lender, and I can't get them to remove this from my credit ***ort even though the project never started, was canceled, and the loan never closed. To be clear, no work was ever performed for this project. This is negatively impacting my ability to obtain credit and is harming my DTI ratio. It is unacceptable that this can't be immediately resolved after 7 months of notice and that they refuse to notify/approve the lender to have the loan removed from my credit ***ort.

The discussion of installing solar panels began April 2024. At that time the salesman ****** ***** came to the residence and started the process. We were clear with him that we would be leaving for an extended time in late July or early Aug 2024. Briton filled out the forms for a loan with ****** financial and the paperwork to proceed with AVISTA utilities. Approximately June 15th a crew arrived to install the solar equipment. The installation supervisor within 30 minutes onsite realized they had been given the wrong brackets to install on a pole building style roof. We tried contacting the salesman Mr. ***** with no response. After a few days we called the company and found that the salesmen are contracted and do not engage with the customer after the sale. The company did not have an estimated time to reschedule the installation. So, the discussion between a customer service representative and us we decided to cancel the project on 06/21/24, since we were leaving the area for six months. I began following up with Freedom Forever in September 2024 since I was receiving calls from AVISTA utilities and state of Washington L&I inquiring about the status the project. Which I discovered that Freedom Forever had not canceled any of these permits. So, I had AVISTA and L&I cancel the project permits. At the s I inquired about the loan since it was still showing active on our credit report. Since then I have followed up with Freedom Forever monthly with the same response that their cancelation department is working on the issue. **************** also tried contacting them in January and February with no response. All of the customer service **** including supervisors have been friendly and said each time they would escalate the issue but have failed to cancel the outstanding loan.

I am filing this complaint against Freedom forever solar company due to their failure to address ongoing issues with my solar panel system and their lack of communication regarding a resolution.I placed my order with Freedom forever in August 2023. According to the contract, the installation process was assured to be completed within three months after the loan start date. However, the installation did not pass the initial examination on March 22, 2024 due to mistakes made by the solar ********** solar panels were finally installed and activated on June 7, 2024, following a second examination. However, in November 2024, a technician from the company came to inspect the system and discovered that the batteries were never activated and were not functioning properly. He instructed me to contact the company to request a replacement, which I promptly did.On November 29, 2024, another technician visited my property and confirmed that the batteries were indeed not working and needed to be replaced. Despite this confirmation and my repeated follow-ups, I have not received any updates or information about when the batteries will be replaced or when the system will be fully operational.Since then, the company has scheduled several appointments to replace the batteries but failed to show up each time without any explanation or prior notice. I had to take time off from work to be available for these appointments, resulting in lost wages, and I expect to be compensated for this inconvenience.Additionally, on one occasion, the company sent workers to my house without notifying me while I was out of town on vacation. This ******************** and communication is completely unacceptable and reflects poor business ************ a result of the malfunctioning batteries, I have been forced to continue paying PG&E utility bills since the system was activated because the batteries are not storing and retaining energy as intended.

I had a consultation with Freedom Forever in December 2023, in which they had me apply to see if I qualified for a loan to get solar panels installed with Mosaic. They reviewed the design and came out for an inspection in February 2024, and they said the project was not viable and that it would be canceled. After that, I never heard anything more from Freedom Forever or Mosaic, until February 21, 2025, when they emailed me to say my first payment was due. It is now March 2025, and after no installation or funds received I am being sent emails about loan payments being due from ******. On March 19 2025, I contacted ****** to tell them to cancel the loan (which I did not know I needed to do, since Freedom Forever said they would process the cancelation in 2024) and that I never received solar panels or funds. They said they would need Freedom Forever to process the project cancellation, said "To speed up the process, feel free to contact Freedom Forever directly and ask them to confirmyour cancellation with us. Please continue to make monthly payments until you receive confirmation of the cancellation."I then contacted Freedom Forever and they said "we are still working on processing the cancellation. Please be informed that our team has placed your project in the queue for processing. They will assess your cancellation request as soon as possible. As the process is handled in the order it is received, it may take some time to complete. Once communication is sent to ******, they will reach out to you directly to confirm that the cancellation process has begun on their end." When I asked for a cancelation timeline, they would not provide one. Both companies said I should just start paying back my loan from ******, even though this project never happened. I feel scammed and am worried about having to make payments and about my credit score being affected for not making those payments. I do not trust either of these companies and I need support. Thank you.

Started a solar project with Forever Freedom which included a reroof and solar panel system installed. The process started August 2024. September 26/27th the house roof was redone. I called my salesman due to paperwork stating solar would be installed on house and shop but only house was getting prepped and done. I was told shop roof didnt need to be done so we proceeded with reroof of house. On or about November *****, 2024 the solar was installed on house only. I made a verbal agreement with onsite manager to allow all panels to be put on house for ease and decreased cost for the company. Talked again to my salesman and agreed all panels could go to house IF tree on the Southwest corner was removed allowing enough sun exposure to make up for not using shop roof. Pictures and texts exchanged and we moved forward.Nov 25, 2024 electrical work was finished and inside repair work done after worker stepped through the ceiling and pushed some lights through. Inspection did not pass, workers came back and added support to code then the communication slows/ stops and 4 month later I cant get them to actually finish the project. When I complained they text me a nasty text stating they would file a mechanic lien on my house because I hadnt signed a change of order contract. I advised I couldnt open the document unless I accepted/signed but I wasnt signing until I can read it. All I can see is my payment increased by over 1/3 and they still havent decided what to do about the tree. (I had been messaging the salesman regularly regarding the tree). I forwarded all the emails and texts between us showing the tree was supposed to be done by them. I would love to finish the project but they are not showing me what the change order was or telling me why such a large increase in payment.

      Dear ******** Family,
Thank you for reaching out to Freedom Forever. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to assist you during this time.
We understand the challenges youve faced with your project, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. To ensure you receive the support you need, we have assigned a dedicated point of contact to guide you through the process.
After reviewing your project, we confirmed that we are currently awaiting your signature on the Change Order to move forward without further delays. On April 1st, you expressed hesitation as you were unable to view the full document. Your point of contact reviewed the changes with you, explaining that the project adjustments resulted in a price increase and a modification in production. You also shared that you do not agree with the new price and do not intend to sign at the current amount.
Additionally, we discussed the tree removal process. While we understand that this was a topic of discussion between you and your sales representative, this request was not included in your initial signed contract. Our team is actively working on obtaining quotes from third-party vendors to complete the tree removal as discussed.
Your project remains on track for completion, pending the signing of all required documents. We remain committed to ensuring your solar installation is completed successfully. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to connect with your point of contact.
      Warm regards,

A verbal and non written explanation was given stating that the total cost had gone up because the company not I added extra panels. This was not discussed with me and especially was not agreed upon.  I would never have moved forward with this company at this new price.

The salesman has told me its the cost for the reroof they did, however once again conflicting answers leads to zero confidence in anything that is said. ALL of this should have been approved PRIOR to installment not after then threaten a lein when I'm unwilling to sign.

I really am beginning to feel it's retaliation for being vocal about my displeasure. I feel I have been more than understanding and my salesman and I had a GREAT relationship and I only went up the chain of command when he couldn't provide me answers. He has gone above and beyond to try to help me. Without him things would have fallen apart months ago. He gave me hope the company would make this all right. Obviously he couldn't keep that promise.

I will not pay more than the original price and if they are unwilling to do so, remove the solar at their own expense as it is not me breaking the deal. Of course I would pay for the roof.

      Hello ******** Family,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We truly understand how frustrating and unexpected these recent changes have been, and we sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused.
Upon review, it appears there was a system error with our financer, Enfin, which prevented us from making real-time adjustments to your contract. As a result, the pricing you initially saw did not accurately reflect your full scope of work. Once the issue was resolved, a Change Order was sent to you outlining updates, including an increase in your Production Guarantee and system price.
We recognize this came as a surprise, and we want to assure you that the contract reflects all enhancements to your project, including the full re-roof, main panel upgrade, increased system size, and additional factors. We are also in the process of collecting quotes for the tree removal previously discussed, which will be incorporated into the final project scope and pricing.
At this time, we are actively collaborating with your sales representative to explore every possible solution to help meet your expectations. While this may not have been the outcome you anticipated, please know that we are doing everything we can to find a path forward that works for you.
If you'd like to continue the conversation with your dedicated Point of Contact, we encourage you to reach out. We understand legal action was mentioned during your last discussion, and we remain open to working with you to resolve this matter constructively.
      Warm regards,

As a consumer there was no way for me to know your costs listed did not include the roof and trees. That was YOUR responsibility to ensure your business quote was accurate not mine and I  signed in good faith that all costs were included. As a business owner if I give a quote that is a quote I am held bound to, never am I allowed to do more work and add on costs without AGREEMENT from a customer. If I go over my estimate I (as a business owner) eat that cost. If it is a mistake by a worker I still am liable and bound to that contract.

How is it you think its ok to not be accountable like every other business to a signed contract? The "glitch" by Enfin should not have taken MONTHS to find and address.

Who was in charge of looking at the plans BEFORE work started? I  signed a contract for the work, I expect to have the price honored or removal of all equipment at your expense with me paying for only the reroof.

In July of 2023 Freedom Forever acquired Meraki Solar of which, I was a customer in the middle of a solar system installation and reroof. The made me sign a new contract with them which included the replacement of my roof. In January 2025, the project completed, and all of my loan proceeds went to them all $84,32848.. They are now not paying the company that replaced my roof! They are telling me that I need to have the prior company pay them or I can pay them myself. The loan amount included the price of the roofing job along with the cost of the solar system. Why am I now expected to pay for the roof when I had a loan to pay for everything and they were to issue the check after they received the final payment from my loan proceeds.

      Hello ****** Family,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention at Freedom Forever. We understand your frustration regarding the aggressive calls from the roofing subcontractor about payment for the recent roof work, and we want to assure you that we are here to help.

Weve assigned a dedicated point of contact to address this issue. They reached out to you on March 27th and April 1st, 2025, via phone, and also responded to your email sent on March 28th, 2025, to reassure you that we are working diligently to resolve this matter. They also spoke with you on April 1st, 2025, to provide an update on the progress of the unpaid contractor issue.

After reviewing the situation, we found that your initial solar company, ******, performed the required roof work on your home before your project was transferred to Freedom Forever for the solar installation. As of February 28th, 2025, our ****************** team determined that the responsibility for the roof payment lies with Meraki.

We are actively working to get in touch with a representative from their company to request their assistance with paying the subcontractor invoice.

If you need assistance before the scheduled follow-up, please dont hesitate to reach out. We are here to support you every step of the way.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

      Best regards,
      Freedom Forever

We have solar panels and during one of the winds one of them flew off of the roof. Ours is the only one that lost a panel in our block. They don't want to fix the issue. It's been over a year since this happened and the issue has not been solved yet

      Dear ******* Family,

Thank you for reaching out to Freedom Forever and for sharing your experience with us. We understand how frustrating this situation has been regarding the replacement of your damaged panel, and we sincerely appreciate your patience throughout this process.

Our records indicate that a dedicated point of contact has attempted to reach you on March 26th, 27th, and 28th; however, we have been unable to connect with you. Additionally, upon reviewing your account, we see that our Asset Control team initially contacted you on February 6th, 2025, to provide a quote for the replacement panel. As outlined in your contract, this damage falls under Force Majeure, meaning it is not covered under Freedom Forevers warranty. During that conversation, we were informed that you would reach out when you were ready to proceed.

Over the past seven weeks, our team has made multiple attempts to reconnect with you to initiate the replacement process, but we have not been successful in establishing contact or receiving a return call. Please let us know when you are ready to move forward, and we will be more than happy to assist in the next steps.

To continue our efforts in addressing your concerns, we have scheduled a follow-up call for April 1st, 2025. If this date or time is not convenient for you, please let us know, and we will gladly adjust the schedule.

I entered into an agreement with Freedom Forever on May 26, 2023, for solar installation. During the sales process, their representative ****** **** who was ****** ******* ******** sales representative, promised me that Freedom Forever would cover the first year of solar payments as an incentive for my participation, which influenced my decision to proceed. However, despite multiple follow-ups, Freedom Forever has refused to honor this promise, stating that the representative was not my designated sales director.I have written proof of this promise through text messages and emails. I have attempted to resolve this matter by contacting customer service several times from the day of entering into the contract, but they have not provided a resolution. Additionally, due to this issue's inconvenience and financial impact, I requested additional compensation, which has also been ignored.I am filing this complaint to request that Freedom Forever:1. Honor the originally promised incentive.2. Provide additional compensation for the inconvenience caused. If this matter is not resolved, I will escalate my complaint to the ************************ (***), my states Attorney General, and other consumer protection agencies.I request a resolution within 7 days and expect Freedom Forever to respond in good faith.

      Dear ******** Family,

Thank you for reaching out to us at Freedom Forever and bringing your concerns to our attention. We understand the frustration that arises when a promise is made and not fulfilled, and we are committed to addressing your concerns in a fair and timely manner.

To assist you in resolving this matter, we assigned a point of contact, with whom you spoke on March 26th. During that conversation, your point of contact informed you that both the sales promise and your compensation request would need to be reviewed. However, it was also clarified that approval of the compensation request could not be guaranteed at that time. On March 27th, your point of contact followed up to confirm that the sales promise had been submitted to our sales team for further review.

They assured you that updates would be provided, and that the review process may take up to 14 business days. However, every effort will be made to expedite the review in order to resolve the matter as quickly as possible, recognizing that the sales representative and the company they represent also need to be included in the process.

We recognize that this situation may be frustrating, and we sincerely appreciate your patience as we work through the details to ensure a fair resolution. Please dont hesitate to reach out directly to your point of contact should you have any further questions or concerns.

      Best regards,
      Freedom Forever

Freedom Forever solar panel installation contractor Tytone *****- Project Specialist: ************************************ Phone: ************ ***************** ************ (they may have corporate phone number)**************************** ******* ****** -Authorized Dealer (Salesperson middleman)************** - no website is available ************************** Phone: *********** Narrative In mid July 2024, ******* ****** and ****** ***** came to our home, in the early evening, soliciting a solar panel program that he said the State of ***** was offering grants to Maine residents who signed up for it. I was skeptical at first and asked for Mr. ******** contact information if we wanted more information. I spoke with my wife, ****** about it first then we agreed to hear more information. ****** contacted our local police department to find out if there were any complaints about Mr. ****** or Mr. ***** and if this was legitimate solicitation. She was told that it was. Next, I contacted Mr. ****** to see if he could meet with us. He came later on that evening and Mr. ***** did not attend. During the 30-minute meeting, he described the program. He mentioned again that the state was offering grants to residents interested in solar power to augment electricity service. He mentioned that our monthly solar bill would be based on our past use with CMP. It was our understanding that we would be paying a fixed monthly price of $85.86 for as long as we owned our home. Mr. ****** gave us a timeline of the next steps regarding the installation process. We later found out that our monthly bill would increase annually per the payment schedule not as indicated by Mr. ******* Also, we found out on the local news warning viewers about this scam. Unfortunately, I did not read the contract as carefully as I should have. I am not sure if there is any recourse.

      Dear ********** Family,

Thank you for reaching out to Freedom Forever and for sharing your concerns regarding the payment rate discussed by your sales representative with **********. We appreciate the opportunity to provide further clarification.

As discussed during your conversation on March 25, 2025, we have assigned a dedicated point of contact who has explained Freedom Forevers role in this process and addressed any questions you may have had regarding Everbright and your sales representative.

To clarify, Freedom Forever is solely responsible for the installation of your solar system and any necessary field service dispatches initiated by the contract holder. **********, as the contract provider, manages all financing and warranty-related matters. Since your concerns pertain to the finance payment amount and commitments made by the sales representative, they fall outside of our scope of responsibility.

Should you require any further assistance or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We remain committed to providing support throughout this process.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

      Best regards,
      Freedom Forever
